Stayed here on the way to the eclipse and on the way back. Clean, affordable, easy to access, close to downtown, university, and other areas. I walked down to the Fox Theater for a show the first night I stayed. They have electric car charging for those who need it. Plan on staying here again when I'm in town.

Family room with three beds was set up really well, kids loved their area with lots of lighting options (they left the LED strip light by the tv on as a nightlight) and the shared vanity was great. Even though it was March the kids wanted to use the pool which was clean with ample deck seating and well secured. My oldest said the bedding was the most comfortable from any hotel we've stayed in. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again.

this property has been updated; the rooms are clean, modern and updated. the bathroom (shower and toilet) is a little small, but has a very large vanity outside of bathroom. room was cleaned nicley. quiet location, easy parking and even has a cute little pool.

We stayed for one night to attend a concert in town. The rooms were really cool looking. They were super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was actually a very quiet hotel, which we appreciated, as we like to sleep in. Plenty of parking in a safe area. The air conditioning worked great! The staff was really nice and had us laughing upon check in. The owner greeted us in the parking lot as we were leaving and asked for our feedback. I was really impressed. We will definitely stay here again. The only suggestion I gave the owner was to CLR the shower head a little, as a few of the streams were clogged. But overall, even that didn't bother me. It was still a very clean shower/tub. Try this Inn in your next stay! Great price and you won't be disappointed!

For the price, it was an ok stay. Rather dingy and rundown, though not dirty. Looks like not much as been updated in decades and decades. Feels a bit uncomfortable and gloomy. Family room included a very cramped, dark second bedroom. Not the least bit inviting. Pool was a nice touch, and very clean. Staff was friendly.

The room I was in was carpeted (opposite from in the photo), but it made no difference in my experience. The room was very clean, plenty of plugs, comfortable beds, and both a mini fridge and a microwave. It's clearly undergone a glow-up from something closer to a Motel 6 and includes some very nice mural art on the wall dividing the bathroom from the rest of the room. The front desk staff was great and I paid very reasonable prices. The only possible drawback would be if I had no car, but overall I'd stay there again in an instant.

We got two rooms. I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the rooms were. Absolutely no funky odors. The beds were very comfortable and had nice white bedding. Staff was very pleasant. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Tucson.

Not a terrible place, but it did smell weird in the room. I couldn't get the TV to work at all -- it turned on, but no connection. It was too late at night for me to care enough to call the front desk. But it was annoying.

The room was fine. Close to downtown. AC unit in Room 105 was really noisy with weird rattles, and the toilet tank leaked so it filled sporadically through the night. The room was recently renovated, with a large TV and comfortable bed. The price was economical.

Everything was great just as shown in the pictures. However the TV kept turning off and on every few minutes, it would show the HDMI signal on the screen and go blank and then turn back on, so think the connection was bad. When turning on the shower it made a very loud squeaking noise that was right in your ear while showering. Other than that, everything else was great. Very clean. Has everything you need inside, microwave, fridge, coffee. iron etc.

Walls are thin and my neighbors were hard of hearing. Aside from that the hotel is absolutely adorable, clean, adequate parking and the owner made certain I was unquestionably clear this is a non-smoking hotel (which I very much appreciate). Will definitely re-book for my next stay.

Excellent location not far from the university campus. The rooms have been remodeled recently; we were quite pleased with them. The manager was very friendly and checked us in quickly. He stopped what he was doing a little later to help me with the soda machine. We would recommend this motel if you have an event in Tucson. We also walked across the street to Bumsteads for a drink and dinner. Wow, great food!

I thought the room was very nice. Though, I was disappointed in the friendliness and lack of accommodations from the staff when they were needed. I had a college visit and was told to leave my bags in the middle of the office. Felt really uncomfortable about this and asked for another option but they didn’t help me in any way. Hopefully no one stole from me while I was out.

The property is ok but the manager is very rude, he doesn’t know how to talk to clients, this rude guy was asking me if I have ever stayed in an hotel before because he saw a black couple coming to lodge in the hotel. He said he doesn’t guarantee me of my safety in the hotel, I have never heard something like that from an hotel manager in my lifetime

It’s a great location. Just felt as if staff was a bit too nosy and it made us feel uncomfortable. We had room service knocking on our door all morning when we had the do not disturb sign out as well.

Never was able to check in. We called the hotel and spoke with 2 different representatives to inquire about an incidental fee hold on my credit card, as we have recently had to wait over 30 days for a refund from a previous stay elsewhere and didn’t want a repeat situation. The hotel website and the hotels.com app weren’t very transparent as to that hotels specific policy, so I called the hotel for clarification. Both reps stated that there would be no fee held on my card, only keep the information I file in case something did happen (we don’t trash hotel rooms or anything like that), which is no problem. When I arrived, the front desk staff was rude, and informed us there was a $100 hold, BOTH staff that I had spoken with were wrong and I would have to either pay the fee or couldn’t check in. And my reservation was unrefundable, how convenient. So I contacted the hotels.com service line, the agent was very kind and understanding and even called the hotel to attempt to negotiate a refund because of the circumstances surrounding the situation. The agent said the hotel was extremely rude, refused to give any sort of refund, and directed the agent to contact the manager via email; who was not available until Monday. This was Friday evening. So basically they got a nice $93 tip and we never even checked in.

We came for family weekend at U of A. This hotel is 1 mile away so it was good for walking to the University, food and bars. Down side is it’s in a rough neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean and comfy beds.

University Inn is a recently remodeled hotel. It's easy access to I-10. Close to downtown Tucson and many restaurants. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, and room was quiet. Price for the night good too. We will stay again.

It’s very convenient location. Walking distance to the University and downtown but there are plenty of ride share options so you can park and go. Recently remodeled and very functional at a great price. Perfect to go to Games at the Uni or just sightseeing and touring Tucson.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. The only mention is that the area seems a little be less than desirable. It is a stones throw away from a public park. With that being said we did not feel unsafe.

Excellent location not far from the university campus. The rooms have been remodeled recently; we were quite pleased with them. The manager was very friendly and checked us in quickly. He stopped what he was doing a little later to help me with the soda machine. We would recommend this motel if you have an event in Tucson. We also walked across the street to Bumsteads for a drink and dinner. Wow, great food!

Very clean room!! The bed was soft and comfortable. The shower had two adjustable heads and great water pressure. The shower curtain was too small though and water got all over the floor. Also, the electrical outlet by the desk was loose and I had to wiggle the plug a few times to make the lamp work. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast included fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, pastries, and toast. Excellent experience, and I'd happily stay again.

Nicely refurbished older motel, well maintained. Clean room, comfy bed, got a good night's sleep. Staff was polite, hotel felt safe even though some of the surrounding area is a bit run down. Stone Ave was part of US Highway 80 from 1926 to 1990, so there are several older hotels in the area. It's good to see some of them refurbished and serving travelers again. Outlets for charging gadgets on 2 nite stands. Room with king bed is spacious, bathroom is small; the sink/vanity is outside the bathroom in a dressing area. Overall a pleasant room. Breakfast was not advertised but there was a modest continental breakfast in the office-lobby.

Great place to stay, clean room and the staff are real nice. Breakfast has cereal, toast, bagels, belvita bisquits, fruit,yogurt, muffins, orange juice and folger's coffee. Walking distance to downtown and easy parking. Property is real quiet and they have a pool. Would stay here again. 5 stars.
