Not sure I would describe it as 'Luxury', but the room was nice, good quality toiletries, tea and coffee in the room. The room (classic) was quite small, especially as we had our dog with us. We didn't eat there in the evening, but the breakfast was really good. I don't think it says anywhere, but three of the rooms are up some external metal stairs which were not that easy for the dog, but might also be tricky if you have any mobility issues. Might be good to know in advance.

A lovely old 'proper' village pub. Great service and food (just the right sized portions for dinner and breakfast as well. Room was initially warm (we were fine in January without the radiator on all weekend) and the mattress was very soft and bouncy (for us at least compared to what we are used to).

Great last minute one night stay. The food for both dinner and the cooked breakfast the next morning was fantastic and we loved the post dinner drink sitting by the fire. All the rooms are dog friendly and they made our Vizsla feel very welcome with dog bowls, beds and treats all provided.

Nice accommodation and friendly service. Food was good and service excellent. Do be careful of the plant pot when walking from the rooms to the restaurant. The side path is very dark and it’s easy to walk into the plant pot. I did and badly bruised my knee!

After booking I received an email to say to book the restaurant as it can be busy. I bnooked a table for the Wednesday evening only to find people sat at our table. They don't put reserved signs on the table. There was nowhere else suitable so we left. Don't waste your time booking a table. Beds also small and uncomfortable.

Booked first thing in the morning for the following day. Received a phone call a few hours later to say that room shouldn’t have been released and we could no longer stay. A staff member was blamed but little meaningful apology received.

My wife & I stayed for a couple of days for her birthday. The room was fine. I was disappointed with the breakfast as you could only have a cooked breakfast. There was no yoghurt or cereals available. I had to ask for orange juice. On day 1 I had toast & honey. The honey was put on the table in the plastic bottle & there was just enough for a couple of slices of toast. The next day there was none. I cannot understand why they could not have purchased another bottle. On the evening of my wife's birthday she ordered the steak but they had not had a delivery so had to order something she was not so keen on. Overall the stay was disappointing.

A Great pub. Caution if you wish to use the dine on a Wednesday and get your 20% off as you apparently need to pay on the night it can not be added to your room.. Costly error!

Arrived late due to travelling all day, only to be informed that the kitchen was closed and no food was being served on site. I was offered options locally or via delivery apps (30-45 mins delivery times). After a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was go out again looking for food and delivery options meant I would be eating far to late to sleep comfortably.
