This was the nicest hotel I stayed at on a 16 day trip. Great room, great breakfast, staff was very helpful, and the washers and dryers are free to use. Everything about the hotel was well done. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was not has friendly has usual…we go there several times a year and they are usually very nice. The room was ok but the bathroom was disgusting!! The ceiling was pealing everywhere and we didn’t think it was in a fair condition to rent to people! It should be fixed because it’s not fun to pay that price

Fantastic staff but they need to do a reno. Very bad damp smell as carpets are old. Very old stained couch in rooms. The bed skirt and drapes looked like never been cleaned or steem cleaned like forever. Damp smell also from the drapes and not only very old carpet in room. Other Chateau hotels are really nice in Atlantic Camada compared to this one ( comparing with the one in Moncton and Halifax). Price per night should be 50% less from Moncton or Halifax as it’s really run down compared to both.

Great staff and good breakfast. Unfortunately, the people above us were very very loud. We did contact the front desk, but the noise continued well into the early hours of the morning. The shower pressure is extremely low and it takes a while for the hot water to appear (we stayed on the second floor). Another very minor inconvenience is that the king bed did not have a fitted sheet, just a regular sheet that wasn’t able to be tucked it. It kept rolling and bunching up.

Comfortable large room. You do get road noise but it didn't stop us sleeping. About a 20 minute walk to Uptown Saint John (hilly). Breakfast was disappointing - lots of disposables, fruit selection was apples or oranges only. Hot selection was the same each day and eggs were only scrambled. Excellent nespresso coffee. Reception staff extremely helpful.

Beautiful newer hotel with a large, inviting lobby full of comfortable furniture. The room was large, beautifully decorated and beds were very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Full breakfast included was very good. Highly recommend!

The staff was incredibly friendly. Our room (King suite) was super spacious and comfortable, although it was only 1 bed. I adjusted the coldness on the fridge and it got too warm inside. There were no instructions to indicate which way was colder. Also, no pool, but that's ok! The Bay of Fundy is nearby! The hotel is right off the highway, which is super convenient but not ideal for walking, even though many things are not far. Overall I'd still recommend it.

I arrived at the hotel after 6 pm and I’m exhausted and tired for long drive but when we arrived there the reception said to us that due their shortness of employees my room wasnt ready! At 6 PM wasn’t ready!

The hotel is awesome. Rooms are well appointed and cozy. Staff were amazing. Trudy who works the breakfast buffet is so friendly and helpful. She makes the rest of the staff better. Hotel is located in a wonderful part of town, near the Reversing Falls and fairly close to Irving Nature Park and downtown. A nice drive to St. Martin for the caves and the Cave Restaurant which truly does offer the very best chowder. Only small issue was a lack of shower pressure.

The staff at Château Saint John were absolutely amazing—genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. You can tell service is a top priority here. The rooms? The Chateau at Saint John is an excellent hotel with beautiful rooms and suites. Everything is as promised (unlike the Chateau at Moncton), and the rooms feel really special. The suite in particular is huge, has a comfortable pull out bed from the sofa, a gorgeous shower and jacuzzi tub, a dining room, and much more. It’s too bad it’s right on the highway, but the sound proofing is good, and we slept well. The king size beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was good, but didn’t cater well to vegetarians or vegans (no soy or anything but regular milk for coffee, only a few fruit other than the eggs, bacon, sausage, etc). The staff at breakfast were so nice and friendly, that they cheered up every one in line. The joy there is contagious. Overall an excellent hotel let down only by the highway, no dinner at the hotel, and no vegan options for breakfast. But please don’t assume other Chateau’s by Wyndham are the same. The one at Moncton is terrible.

Das Chateau St. John ist ein gutes Mittelklassehotel, das ca. 30 Minuten Fußweg entfernt von Downtown Saint John liegt. Wir waren dort zwei Nächte im Rahmen einer Tour durch den Osten Kanadas. Das Hotel ist verkehrsmäßig gut angebunden und bietet einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Es gibt ein kostenloses Frühstück. Dabei holt man sich seine scrabled eggs, sowie spezielle Kaffees (Espresso, Capuccino) etc. an einem Tresen ab. Dahinter stand eine an Freundlichkeit nicht zu überbietende Dame, die eine Herzlichkeit versprüht hat, die man selten erlebt. Alleine diese Dame war den Besuch im Hotel wert. Für unseren Zweck - Besichtigung von St. John - war es insgesamt ein sehr gutes Hotel mit einem im Vergleich zu den Downtownhotels vernünftigen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

It is located near to downtown with an easy access to main roads. It has clean rooms and bathrooms as well as well kept common areas. Staff are friendly at the front desk and restaurant. We had included breakfast and it was very good (nespreso coffee and hot protein choices) offering multiple options. Parking is also included but the only thing I’d be concerned it is the homeless tents in front of the hotel then we are not sure it is safe to walk from the hotel to downtown. We saw a lot of homeless panhandling at the lights. We recommended it if you drive to it.

Amazing by normal hotel standards, outstanding for Wyndham standards. Breakfast was included and was gluten friendly (by virtue of the staff managing the eggs/meat/potatoes for guests, keeping it behind the bar.)

Loved the location, clean, comfortable, staff was great! Breakfast was good, but didn't like the set up (having to line up -which was very long - to be served for hot food and coffee in area was very weak. Everyone was talking about it. Fortunately we had Nespresso in our rooms - which we loved!

I like that they serve the eggs and bacon separate from self serve items and they keep the toaster used for gluten free bread behind the counter protected from cross contamination for celiac patrons. Unfortunately, I did get glutened from a local restaurant. Not the fault of the hotel but I wish they had a dining area too.
