Hotel Grand Pacific

The Staff made the hotel stay very pleasurable. It was refreshing to have a bath in the room and the Concierge and Velu the lobby staff member were truly excellent - professional and friendly. Great location. Pool the biggest letdown - tiny and unswimmable as there was a rope across it.

The location of the hotel is good, a little outdated, could not open a window for fresh air, lack of natural light. The pool area is old and unkept, the tiles in the pool need a good clean. I would not stay again, I should have paid a bit more money and stayed elsewhere. The only reason I selected this hotel was it had a pool and gym. Didn’t even go to the gym when I saw what the pool looked like!

As stated by other guest the property is dated. Rooms look like they didnt change much since the 90s. The washroom feels like my old apartment washroom. The the gym is small with limited weights. Its different from the pictures shown on Expedia. Its actually better. The have dumbbells that go up to 20kg and a modern resistance machine, one treadmill and a stationary bike. Breakfast is decent. They usually change it every other day. You can usually hear your neighbors or people in the hallway though but they quite down at night so its not too bad. Now the pros. Staff are great and helpful. They are friendly, polite and quick to offer help when needed. Alot of things are close by like the bus, trains and shopping malls. A 7-11 and money exchange are meters away. Bugis shopping area located 4 blocks away is great for bargains, cheap chocolates and food. The rooms are roomy by singapore standard and ceilings are high. The washroom is comfortable and the beds are comfy if small.

Für den Preis, den wir bezahlt haben war es ok. Mehr dürfte es eigentlich nicht kosten. In dem Hotel ist ein reger Durchgang, weshalb die Rezeption ständig ausgelastet ist. Das Hotel könnte durchaus eine Renovierung erfahren. Zweckmäßig, aber nichts überragendes. Frühstück war sehr gut mit einer großen Auswahl. Das Hotel ist barrierefrei. Der Pool ist etwas umständlich zu erreichen. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute zentrale Lage, sowie sehr gute Anbindungen an Bus und MRT.

We were very happy with our room and the breakfast but when it came to getting a drink after 10pm no chance this was very disappointing as you are out late and expect to be able to get a drink in a hotel, or room service

First room was sub-par and in need of renovation.Bathroom was highly patched up and in poor condition for the category and rate. Carpet was dirty. Hotel staff was kindly able to move me to a higher floor with better room in same category. You would be well advised to arrange/ask for a newer room if possible. Certainly check the room before unpacking. Both rooms had televisions with terrible reception and very limited selection. Both rooms had sinks with poor draining. Elevators worked awkwardly; there are two banks of lifts that DO NOT share the same call button so be aware you have to hit two different up or down buttons.. Pool area is awkward to get to and closes unusually early at 6PM. Changing rooms were not particularly clean. Location of hotel is good - bus stop in front and around the corner. Location is about a 5-7 minute bus ride to the Suntec convention center. Hotel is also nearby to MRT (metro rail) stop at Bugis Station However be aware that the MRT trains are several levels below ground and navigation to the surface can be a bit confusing. I advise using the lift/elevator to get to the surface and then try to navigate to the hotel. Was not happy with the breakfast service. Limited buffet selection of not well "maintained" food - especially with respect to temperature - not hot enough! Better options elsewhere. Be aware that there is a $300 Singapore dollar hold on your credit card while staying here. It was promptly refunded at the end of the stay.

This hotel has seen better days. The staff was friendly and helpful, but on the whole we were glad to only spend 2 nights at this hotel. Very noisy room (HVAC air handlers?), worn out carpets, sloppy and tired paint. The neighborhood is busy, but not immediately that interesting. The beds were comfortable, but room amenities need to be updated. The pool was nice, but the adjoining deck up one level needs a fix up and remodel. Time seems to have forgotten the Hotel Grand Pacific.

Positives: Gute Anbindung, sauber, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Negatives: Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, Zimmer war okay und schon mal ein wenig renoviert, das Bad aber nicht. Keine Raucherlounge, Wetterabhängige Öffnungszeiten des Pools ( wenn es nieselt wird der Poolbereich geschlossen) und dieser ist auch nicht wirklich einladend (auch ziemlich veraltet) Alles in allem ist das für mich kein 4**** Hotel, max.3.

A comfortable hotel in a good location, swimming pool too.

Good location, close to Raffles Hotel and Bugis & Bras Basah MRTs. Very helpful reception staff. We had rooms on 8th floor. Both good size, with en suite bathroom and queen-size beds. Pool on 5th floor was nice and towels are provided. There are also self service laundry facilities. Breakfast served in main restaurant. Good choices of Western and Oriental food. Pass on the Danish pasties though. Would definitely use again if the price is still good.

the room is a bit dirty, I can find dirty spot in the sofa and the hygiene supplies are not enough in the bathroom such as handwash, shampoos and bodywash are not enough for two person

Unfortunately this hotel looks OK from the outside however rooms are very run down, bathroom was moldy. Breakfast was OK. Pool area is run down. They don't accept Visa or MasterCard debit cards so we had to go get cash out of an ATM for them. Won't return to this place.

I stayed there for a week. Every day they came in tidy up the room. The first time they didn’t replace the used up toilet tissue paper. Need to call up for the replacement. The next day my slippers were wet and torn, used coffee cups not replaced, and no more new toothbrushes ! Then I filled complaints at the front desk. Then the latter days were fine!

Staff members are very friendly. The hotel rooms are very old although some renovations are done and not very clean.

Extreem gedateerd hotel wat ik om die reden niemand zou aanraden zeker als je beseft dat de kamer €174,- kostte. Alles is van dat afgebladderde donkerkleurige hout wat je opa en oma 40 jaar geleden ook hadden. Vrijwel geen stopcontacten, hard bed, lawaaierige airco die matig werkt, alles in de kamer slecht afgewerkt en/of beschadigd, geen centrale knop om lampen uit te doen (je moet echt naar de lamp lopen en op het knopje drukken), tv is 20 jaar oud en dus geen enkele app erop (of überhaupt internet), slechts 1 handdoek per persoon, vies oud douchegordijn in het bad en ik zal vast nog dingen vergeten zijn. Personeel bij de ingang van het hotel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en vijf minuten lopen naar de metro. Ontbijt was prima.

The hotel was very old. Although I can see the maintainance work is done, the condition was not very appealing. Also, the walls between rooms are thin, and I was able to hear conversations next door. The airconditioner thermostat did not work. Although setting the temperature at 28 degrees, it was freezing in the room. I ended up turning it off.

Getting a little tired. Even though it has been upgraded it still looks as if it lacks maintenance. TV a bit small and tinny. Aircon loud except on slowest setting. Small lifts. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. When I arrived, they had downgraded my room and I heard the front staff say “let’s give her this room, it’ll do for one night”. There was no wifi access in the room and the corridor smelt moldy

I wish the room has more outlets for charging phone and laptops near the bed area.

The room was dark and depressing and very dated. Each day it was hit and miss to what towels you would get and toiletries. Also only got two teabags per day and no milk. Tv channel selection was dreadfull. The pool area was extremely tired and uninviting and was not relaxing due to being next to a playschool.The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. And all the reception staff were very pleasant.Location was ok.

Outside corridor noise is more inside the room.

Room is spacious. Very close to Bugis and City Hall stations.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff at the reception were amazing, especially Velu and Shazlyn. We have a toddler, and what Velu did was beyond help. He was super friendly and proactive in taking care of our needs. Overall experience was amazing, due to staffs’ warm hospitality makes you want to come again. I most definitely recommend this hotel if you want to have a relaxed stay while visiting Singapore.

Hotel Grand Pacific is in an excellent location near many of Singapore's attractions and shopping area's! Hotel Grand Pacific is an excellent hotel with outstanding staff especially manager Mr. Bernard Ho, reception staff mdm Christine, Ms. Mindy, Sun cafe in hotel staff Melsha and Katty bell staff Mr. Velu is super helpful from assisting guests with luggage to visitor information about sights in Singapore along with directions all are outstanding and a credit to the superb service at Hotel Grand Pacific Singapore!

I was travelling from Melbourne with family and is terribly disappointed by the hotel service as compared to the services we are used to in Melbourne. To begin with I had requested for an early check in which after back and forth conversation was granted with the notion that the request will not be honoured next time. I was really disappointed to hear this that I did not proceed to make any more requests. When we arrived, no one helped us with the baggage and staff were in general rude. The bed was not made well with bumps and lumps. The air condition if turned on beyond 20degrees gave out a foul smell so we had to keep it at 25 degrees throughout while it was 32 degrees outside. Overall the hotel experience was poor and not recommended. The only convenience is that it’s located well.

Good hotel, close to subway and bus stop. My room was large and everything worked okay. There is a Seven Eleven store next to hotel. Bus 36 goes to and from the airport. The stop is in front of the Singapore Management College Administration Building.

Impressive hotel and location is closed to shopping, MRT, buses and restaurants.

Had stayed here a few years ago so decided to return as the price was a very good deal for the five nights we were staying. Decor hadn’t changed but service was still good. Had evening meal first night which was a bit disappointing so didn’t bother again. Buffet breakfast was excellent although the cooked food could have been a bit hotter. Location was very good with easy access to all attractions by bus and mrt. Velu the concierge was brilliant! Always very polite and helpful with his exceptional knowledge of Singapore and transport.

Nice clean hotel. Lobby and entrance very nice, rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Only ate 1 of 3 mornings. Great location.

We appreciated it very much when upon check-in we were that our room was upgraded. Thank you very much Hotel Grand Pacific. But to our dismay, the water pressure in the shower was not high. And we noticed that when someone is using water from other rooms, the water pressure drops. First time to experience that. The spread of the buffet breakfast is good.
