Stayed 3 nights

The bedroom was clean although there was some paper forgotten on the floor from someone who ate with chopsticks in the bedroom. So there is an obvious lack of attention to detail. The bathroom was large with good running water but for some reason it smelled like sweat. We stayed three nights and nobody came to clean our room or make the bed during our stay. They only clean the rooms when someone leaves, but that was not disclosed anywhere in hotels.com or at the hotel. I turned on the TV and there was no service. I called the number that I was given for support and I was supposed to get a call back which never happened. There is no staff. The check in is done through a screen at the entrance. That worked fine. The hotel is well located, at walking distance to many dining options, but don’t expect ANY service. There is no hotel parking but you can park on the street if you pay attention to the street signs since there are some nights when the street is cleaned so you need to move the car.

I booked a queen room but the bed in my room was a full, my feet hung off the edge. I contacted them about this while there and received no response.

Stayed 3 nights

The hotel is in the centre of SF, perfectly located for visiting the city. The check in is via a screen, there are no employees on the spot. The room we got was on the 3rd floor (without elevator, which was no problem for us but can be a challenge with big bags for older people) and was fairly small (difficult to pass by each other) but clean. The bathroom was supernice. There was an A/C, small fridge, hair dryer, TV, heater etc in the room, but no desk or chair or cupboard (no space for it), and it was hard to find a spot for our bags. The furniture was a bit old and worn, but clean. Free wifi (slow) was available. It was good for us for a weekend, without car (no parking). We enjoyed that there were food shops, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. It all worked fine, but was a bit expensive for the small size of the room. Overall it can be an option for short visits if one only wishes a bed to sleep but not to spend much time in the room.

Stayed 2 nights

We were alerted that this hotel was unstaffed by email on the day of check-in. We arrived and found no staff, no lobby, just a virtual check-in kiosk at the bottom of the stairs with a woman on the other end of the screen. There is no elevator. When we booked through hotels.com a few months in advance, the rate was about $300 a night. We expected a better experience for that amount of money, but what we saw as soon as we walked into our room was entirely different from the pictures. The room was cramped, with almost no space to walk around the beds or even open luggage. The boxspring covers had stains on them. Mold was growing in the corners of the bathroom shower. Everything looked like it was built DIY. The room was very dark and uninviting. One of the lights was not working. We did not trust that the room was properly cleaned. If you are wondering about how an unstaffed "hotel" works, there is a room onsite with toilet paper and other essentials that any guest has access to, which doesn't feel very safe. Do not stay here if you have other options- it is not at all worth the money and there are other hotels in the area that are much nicer for the same price.
