The bedrooms are clean, but a bit tired needs renovation. We had a power cut during the recent storm & had to move rooms but the staff were great. The parking is good but expensive at £10 a day. Overall staff are excellent & very attentive. Bar Sixty the food is very good with generous portions. The postion of the hotel is also excellent with lots of rooms having sea views.

Nice location just 10 mins walk to town. Staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn’t fault the service, breakfast was a bargain for 10 pound and pool was a nice addition on a rainy morning.

Parking was a challenge as there was not enough. The swimming pool was quiet and nice however the changing room was outside and only one shower working. Breakfast was good and as it is made to order- wastage is minimised. Staff were very friendly and always with a smile. The adjoining room was a pleasant surprise. Very spacious rooms.

A lovely hotel, although in a residential area. Short walk to the sea. Wonderful surprise for my upgraded room. Only disappointment, I was unable to use the pool as it needed to be tested. I got up early to go for a walk before the pool opened at 7.30am. I got back at the hotel at 7.00am to have a coffee and get my swimming things to then be told the pool would not be opening until it had been tested, which would be around 9.00am. I really liked the look of the pool, which is one of the reasons why I chose the hotel. I needed to leave by 9.00am, so unfortunately was unable to have a swim. Otherwise all good 👍

Rooms are a bit tired and very small for 2 people. Cleaning isn’t included every day (not sure if there was an option too). Lovely staff and restaurant was great. Gym was adequate too. Location was great as it’s out of town but only a 20 minute walk. Close to beaches and countryside.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. But unfortunately the hotel was run down and dirty. There was no housekeeping services, bath towels were stained, carpets filthy. Breakfast not good.

The hotel is dated with the carpets especially requiring a deep cleaning. Facilities needs to be kept up with weather to include fans. Location is great with easy access to many great spots.

Had Room 116 which had Crack basin. Rusty handles, hair dryer was absolutely dangerous, had a family room wish they spent a bit of money on kids safety.. shame I can not attach photographs to support this negative review.

Did not realise that Blue Badge parking for a disabled person was car park chargeable and at £20 was very expensive and the receptionist was very abrupt and abrasive the room was not disabled friendly and was along a long hallway the room was tired and outdated with wallpaper coming off the wall and glossware paint all chipped. It was a noisy room overlooking the busy car parking with smokers and early risers being noisy. The carpet felt dirty and the bathroom flooring poorly vinyl laid. Overall we were disappointed

I have stayed at The Pentire before and as ever the staff are lovely , friendly & very accommodating. The rooms are clean , bed was comfy and tea / coffee provided. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. The only things I would mention is maybe it’s time for a paint job in some rooms and corridors. Lots of chips out of the woodwork here & there & looking a bit shabby. The en-suite was cramped and very little room between the shower, wash basin & loo. Location is good for us but Pentire is quite a walk from the town centre and may not suit some holidaymakers.

Lobby and bar/restaurant looks okay but the rooms are horrendous. Smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, mouldy bathroom door, stained carpets, awful tile job, bathroom flooring peeling away. Obviously haven’t spent any money to keep the rooms even half way decent, felt and smelt so grimey and disgusting in there, wish I’d have thought to take photos as my description doesn’t explain how awful it was. The guy who severed us on the bar was lovely! Prepare to take out a second mortgage if you get a drink though!! Reception staff are very very rude and unhelpful. One overweight women at reception was especially awful, hopefully it’s her day off on your check in if you do stay! Oh, and the room wasn’t even ready on time for the 4pm check in either, no sign of an apology or anything for this, just treated like we were in the wrong for being there….

We were very disappointed with our room as the bathroom smelt of drains. The manager tried to say it was because the room hadn’t been used and opened the window and ran the water. We asked for alternative room but we’re told it was full and could have a refund. However due to book in time of 4pm and Boardmasters being on, we couldn’t find another hotel and had to sleep with a window wide open on a rainy and windy night. We felt there was no apology and no acceptance.

You can tell the hotel is a little bit tired but my room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy so a good night sleep was had. The staff are all very freindly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was really good. The view from my room was Amazing, over looking Fistral Beech.

1. I don’t understand how this hotel thinks they can provide a shower cubicle that small, I couldn't even lift my arms without touching the sides, it is unacceptable! 2. The bedroom doors do not have soft close, so you hear other people's bedroom doors slamming shut from inside your room. 3. The mattress is very old and should be replaced asap. 4. The furniture in bedroom was old. I will never stay at this hotel again, I'm glad I only booked one night.

I checked in to a tiny box room. They kindly moved me. But the next room was no better. There were no toiletries. No iron. No fridge. I couldn’t get in the door with my luggage. The water was so hot I could t have a shower. The duvet was flat and old. The room looked straight into someone’s apartment. There are much nicer hotels nr by. I asked to get a refund and check out. Sadly this was not an option.

The room was clean and cozy but a bit hot. A fan would have been useful even with the windows open. It is an older building so sound travels through the walls and floorboards.

Good location and nice bar area etc. I paid extra for a single room with a sea view, only the double glassing was full on condensation so you could see the view. Tried opening the window but this was restricted to about 3 inches, so did n't get to see the view. Otherwise OK.

Location great from fistral. Issue with car park, apparently not enough spaces front and back car parks were full and had to wait for space to become available to park. Issue with the temperature in the rooms, heat was too high and not possible to fully open the window to cool it down. Staff really friendly. Room clean.

Lovely hotel overlooking fistrel beach. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is nice in the Bistro and there's a pool that you can swim in. Lovely walks all around . I was very happy with my stay .

Stayed 1 night on Friday 28th June 2024. Two Ladies at reception and the housekeeping Lady were very helpful and friendly. I arrived 3 hours early due to an injured leg and they got my room ready quickly, brought the key to me and offered extra pillows for my leg to rest on. Excellent service.

We stayed in a family room which had a double bed, a single and a bunk bed. Very clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom too. The staff were very friendly and were all working so hard while short staff. Special mention to Kerrie on reception she was also serving in the bar and brought us a missing duvet. Breakfast is delicious and made with good quality ingredients.

Nicely located on the Pentire peninsula, great food, friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean with fantastic view across to Fistral beach. Swimming pool ok but a tad small when busy. Overall we love it and will be back.

Didn’t really spend much time there as was out most the day/night but friendly welcome, clean and tidy, rooms were nice, and good parking, bit of a walk to the centre but not too bad and you know that when you book it so can’t complain, would recommend and stay there again

We had a great time only thing not to our liking was walk to beach as quite hilly and as my wife uses walking stick we did not go down But over all our stay was excellent

The hotel is well placed, in a quiet area, with a short walk to the beach, or around the cliff path to the bars and restaurants of Fistral Beach. Plenty of parking too. The staff were really helpful which made our stay even better. There is lots of space in the public areas, so you're not sat on top of other guests. Breakfast was lovely too, with plenty of choice for every palate.

Great dog walking directly outside of the hotel and the ability to have breakfast with the dog in the bar area was great . I had a single room and it was fine Very clean and all that was needed was provided. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the indoor pool but it looked AMAZING. Will return soon.

Great sized room overlooking Fistral Beach....what a view! Room was very comfortable anc clean. Very comfy pillows. Reception entrance was very welcoming and a nice surprise. Ideally situated 10 minutes walk from Pentire Point - absolutely stunning 360 views up there. A great coastal walk to Fentire Beach 10/15 mins and on to Newquay town, approx 20/25 minutes. Perfect location, would definitely return.

A lovely hotel, although in a residential area. Short walk to the sea. Wonderful surprise for my upgraded room. Only disappointment, I was unable to use the pool as it needed to be tested. I got up early to go for a walk before the pool opened at 7.30am. I got back at the hotel at 7.00am to have a coffee and get my swimming things to then be told the pool would not be opening until it had been tested, which would be around 9.00am. I really liked the look of the pool, which is one of the reasons why I chose the hotel. I needed to leave by 9.00am, so unfortunately was unable to have a swim. Otherwise all good 👍

The bedrooms are clean, but a bit tired needs renovation. We had a power cut during the recent storm & had to move rooms but the staff were great. The parking is good but expensive at £10 a day. Overall staff are excellent & very attentive. Bar Sixty the food is very good with generous portions. The postion of the hotel is also excellent with lots of rooms having sea views.

Don’t waste your money paying for a sea view, most of the view is of dirty old roofs and seagulls, one of which spent a lot of time tapping on the window. Food in the bistro was mediocre although the staff were lovely.

Pretty good stay, the ladies on the front desk were lovely. Breakfast was alright but had to flag someone down each morning to take our order as we were left for ages once sat down. Wanted to order some food in the bar the one evening and was told unless we sit in the adjacent restaurant we would have to wait at least an hour as our order would be dealt with after all the restaurant orders. Didn’t make any sense at all and felt like they just didn’t want to take the order but we ordered anyway and the food came out within 30 mins. The bar area has zero atmosphere, nothing going on, and a total missed opportunity but there’s a games room downstairs which is good and we put our own music on just a shame they don’t man the bar down there. Bedroom was nice, clean and comfy and plenty of hot water. They didn’t service our room during our stay, I don’t know why but not an issue for a 2 night stay. Location is great and parking wasn’t an issue

We had a wonderful stay st The Pentire Hotel. Staff were wonderful. Bedroom clean and nicely decorated. Food really good. The swimming pool was big and water just right temperature.

Had a great holiday in Cornwall helped by staying at the wonderful hotel. Room was good with a sea view. Staff where very helpful (I had left my room key in my room three time and they were very happy to help out). I had a meal each day at the bistro in the hotel and the food was excellent. The breakfast was good each morning. The only thing I could say that was a slight negative, would be a change to the breakfast menu to offer bacon and sausages.
