Booked last minute for a gig. We had a quadruple room which was nice and clean and beds were comfy. Such a warm welcome from everyone. Check in was easy. Nice little bar, pool room, lots of snacks and food available. Thank you.

Received a phone call on the morning of our stay, to ask if we needed anything for our stay, which was a nice touch. There was no parking on site, but plenty on local roads. Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar had a great atmosphere, the room was clean and comfortable, and the Full English breakfast is a must! Would definitely stay again.

Booked through Hotels.com, but the could not find the booking. Photos did not portray the pub and downstairs facilities, quite rough and ready. Room very basic, generally clean but some attention to detail could be improved. Toilet did not flush. Handy for the arena.

Close to the arena and all the stuff round there. Friendly staff, very good fried breakfast, decent little pub. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick and smooth. Parking on site was tricky but manageable as very small. Was £5 extra on top to park on site. Room was decent. Although the double bed was quite small. Got very warm in the room at night even with window open. Definitely needs a fan in there. Was very loud outside with cars passing but expected with being on a main road. Deli bar cafe was lovely. Had a sausage sandwich for breakfast which was tasty and good prices. It was only about 10 minute walk to utilita arena and valley Centertainment which was ideal for us.

We stayed at don valley hotel because we were picking our son up to bring back to Carlisle we had a drink in the bar and everyone was so friendly and welcoming we met a few regulars Nev what a lovely bloke we spent a few hours talking to him and learning a thing or two and even got us to buy a bottle of the famous Hendersons relish from behind the bar to say we will be back is a definite yes absolutely cracking place and the car park was secure too

This ‘hotel’ is above a pub so noise was very loud until midnight. The mattress was very hard but otherwise comfortable. The room was mostly clean. However our biggest issue was regarding the parking. We parked our car in their car park and advised them that we would be leaving by 9am the next morning. However once we checked out, the car park was behind a locked gate and there was another car blocking us in. We called the hotel multiple times but no one answered. Eventually we were able to re-enter after someone else left and spoke to the housekeeper. She called the manager for us but he didn’t answer. We were told that he is usually in by 9am but he had been drinking the night before and would probably not be awake for a while. It was clear to us that this happens often. On the external door there was a mobile number for contacting them out of hours but it was switched off. Eventually we forced the gate open and the people blocking our car in were able to move their car for us. This made us almost 30 minutes late leaving, despite the staff knowing what time we were checking out. This was incredibly unacceptable. There is clearly no staff on property overnight so if an emergency arises, there will be no one available to help. We will not be staying here again.

Booking hadn’t come through to the hotel so no room was available straightaway had to wait almost an hour to be sorted even though we paid in full and had the receipt to prove this. We were left to one side while others kept coming in and being shown to their rooms. We were then offered a room in the apartments where one staff member wouldn’t show us because of the access and once there we know why .on going into the room it was unacceptable it had a very strop smell of cigarette smoke, so off we went again for another wait we were finally offered a room on the very top floor which wasn’t the best.

Room is just terrible. The room was extremely small. The bed size was not appropriate for a couple was a full size only. Not even shampoo or soap, very , very poor. I do not recommend.

Perfectly nice and comfortable. Its not trendy but does the job nicely for a very reasonable price. The people were friendly. Its a little bit noisy on the main road so id avoid if i was a light sleeper.

All the staff were some of the most amazingly friendly and helpful people i have met. I would definitely stay again if i was going to a concert at the Sheffield arena. Its only a 10min walk away! 10/10. Thanks to all the staff who made my daughter and I feel so welcome.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. My son was welcomed by staff so kindly and no issue was a problem. Highly recommend for people staying to go to Meadowhall or Sheffield arena.

The whole experience was poor. My wife was checking in late at night, should have been a smooth experience but she was pressurised to show driving licence as a form of ID when just the booking confirmation should have sufficed. There was karaoke until the early hours (its a pub so some noise is expected but it wasn't clear on the booking page). Biggest issue is that she just generally felt unsafe being there.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick and smooth. Parking on site was tricky but manageable as very small. Was £5 extra on top to park on site. Room was decent. Although the double bed was quite small. Got very warm in the room at night even with window open. Definitely needs a fan in there. Was very loud outside with cars passing but expected with being on a main road. Deli bar cafe was lovely. Had a sausage sandwich for breakfast which was tasty and good prices. It was only about 10 minute walk to utilita arena and valley Centertainment which was ideal for us.

All the staff were some of the most amazingly friendly and helpful people i have met. I would definitely stay again if i was going to a concert at the Sheffield arena. Its only a 10min walk away! 10/10. Thanks to all the staff who made my daughter and I feel so welcome.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. My son was welcomed by staff so kindly and no issue was a problem. Highly recommend for people staying to go to Meadowhall or Sheffield arena.

Booked last minute for a gig. We had a quadruple room which was nice and clean and beds were comfy. Such a warm welcome from everyone. Check in was easy. Nice little bar, pool room, lots of snacks and food available. Thank you.

Received a phone call on the morning of our stay, to ask if we needed anything for our stay, which was a nice touch. There was no parking on site, but plenty on local roads. Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar had a great atmosphere, the room was clean and comfortable, and the Full English breakfast is a must! Would definitely stay again.

What a golden find this was, attending 90s Fest with my partner and booked this for Sunday night.
