Location is pretty great but also comes with a consequence of dirt around the hotel from all Canal street vendors. Hotel is nice but rooms are pretty dated. We had two rooms booked. One had a busted AC that barely cooled. We spent two nights there. Spoke to front desk 3 times and were promised someone would come and address the issue. As of the day we checked out, AC is still busted. Hotel has no on site parking but the lot next door is pretty good and hotel validates the ticket.

The staff were so welcoming when we checked in and were amazing throughout. Got us in earlier than the time given and we were surprised to be apart of the lounge access! The room was a shock as it was much bigger than anticipated and fit 4 girls with a ton of bags! Right in the heart of SoHo with great spots in walking distance. The roof access was amazing and had the best view, photo below. Could not recommend enough for a fun girls trip! Best weekend ever :)

We have just come back from a weeks stay here and would definitely return. The staff at reception where lovely one girl in particular was amazing with my little girl I didn’t get her name, she could see we was tired after a long flight from the UK and offered us waters and my little girl a treat from a treasure chest when we checked in. We got given a club level room with a happy hour from 5.30-7.30om which included free wine, beer and canapés style food, the view from the terrace was beautiful. The room was nice and big for us as a family of 4. The only thing is we had ants in the bathroom which didn’t bother me but I noticed they were in the bed one day. I told reception who immediately sent someone up to clear them away. I never seen them again. Would definitely stay here again. Location is great to all areas. Thank you for a lovely stay

Amazing location, all the metro lines are in a walking distance. Nicely situated between Tribeca and SoHo. Beds were comfy and room got cleaned daily. Hotel is a bit old and one of the elevators were not working but it didn't bother me too much as I was on the 4th floor. However, it could have been very annoying if I were staying at higher floors.

Really loved our room with an amazing view of the New York skyline. Room was clean and comfy and in a great location in Tribeca, making it super fast to midtown location and walkable to locations like financial district, SoHo, Chinatown and Greenwich Village. My real complaints was that the gym was very small, the bar was absurdly expensive (even for New York!) and they could have made more of an incentive to be more eco friendly, but overall I highly recommend.

Staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and just overall great! Location is very convenient to shopping in Soho and eating in Tribeca although being right on Canal St is a little rough, noisy and not the most pleasant of walkways. Still, super easy to get to many places and near subway access. Building was clean but a little tired and rooms could use a little updating. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend getting a club room which gives access to the top floor club room and deck with view.

Check in was easy, hotel was in close to many subway lines. Walk to Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown. Hotel rooms are a little rundown but if you're sightseeing the entire day it doesn't matter. Parking was across the street, pricey ($50-65USD/day) but the hotel gives you a coupon upon checkout and it brings it down to around $40USD a day.

I was disappointed on this stay and I have stayed here several times. I paid over $500 for a patio room #201 which I stayed before and the patio was disgusting !!! The pillows were dirty and stained and smelled bad. We could not even use the patio. Requesting full or partial refund from the hotel. This does not represent a 4 Star hotel. Rodney V. Ralph

Great stay all around. There is a small market right and coffee shop next door The rooftop terrace was a bonus! We were able to check in early and the waiting area was comfortable and super cute. Bed was cozy and overall hotel was clean. The employees were friendly and very helpful when calling cabs, etc.

nice location, good price and comfortable room. HOWEVER - the air conditioner blows directly onto the bed, there is no way to control it's direction, which is VERY annoying. Also, the shower has no temperature adjustment (yes, you read that correctly) you can only control the amount of water. There must be an auto set to temp, which was a bit hot to my liking, so I was forced to have the pressure set to just above a trickle so I was not getting soo much hot water on me. This caused me to take a long shower to get all the soap off me. I have never seen such a poorly design shower in my life (50+ years old). They did put me in a handicapped room and the shower head, at it's highest level, was at chin height.....this also I have never seen before and stayed in numerous other handicapped rooms.

Requested a king bed, we got 2 double beds, when I went back down to front desk, it was not made clear that the room they were switching us to with a king bed was much smaller, which is NOT what I reserved. Very small room. But location excellent

Nice location, with good food options. Subway stations are also very close by. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The only disappointment was the AC in the room, which was not able to cool down the room in the night.

We booked at the Sheraton because they had sling bed and pull-out couch/bed for our family. They told us they overbooked that type of room and they didn't have that, so we had to take a smaller room with two small full size beds. We were crammed together and all slept like crap. We were extremely unhappy with the service and accommodations.

The room reeked of smoke, and when I raised the issue, the manager essentially accused me of being the one who smoked in it. Absolutely unacceptable and insulting. The customer service was appalling, and I would never recommend this property to anyone. This experience has left me so disappointed that I would not even consider staying at a Sheraton property in the future. I checked out after a day and found a nice hotel in midtown (best place to have a base in Manhattan while exploring NYC).

This is a very very rundown old property and the service is slow and they don’t care to help you with any additional perks or even checking in early seemed impossible! Staff do not seem very happy to be there although Kevin at the concierge desk was amazing. Please ensure he is recognized.

On an annual business trip, I opted to stay at the Sheraton because it seemed likely that a corporate property would provide a clean and pleasant home base. For the first couple of nights, this was the case. But on one night of my stay, from roughly 11:00pm - 2:45am there were a trio of drunken neighbors in the hallway who left their small dog unattended in the room. The dog was distressed and proceeded to bark intermittently throughout the night. According to the website, an unattended pet in the room isn't allowed. On several occasions, I called the front desk to seek assistance and was told that the best they could do was email the people who had booked the room. Clearly this had no effect on the issue. An entire night with no sleep, and I had to postpone one of my early morning client meetings because of lack of rest. Despite my paying $250 a night for the room, the only recourse the Sheraton management offered was 10,000 hotel points (ie $90 to spend only if I book with them again) and a food credit for breakfast (despite all of my meals being booked out of the hotel already with clients). Effectively, the hotel failed to take care of the problem in the immediate sense of handling the noise issue or in the longterm sense of offering a room change, compensating directly for one night, or otherwise acknowledging that this issue had a real effect on my stay. Disappointing overall that guests who violated a policy were allowed to negatively affect other visitors.

Got given the room right next to the lift for a four night stay. We got moved the next day to a very small room at the end of the corridor which over looked a building so had to more or less keep our curtains closed if we were in our room. We could not face moving again so stayed put. Also the person I was talking to at reception seemed very ticked off at me for complaining and would not listen to what I said which was. All I wanted was a normal room. No special request. Just a room that was the size advertised and not next to the lift. Very unhelpful person she was. So I gave upon the end. So disappointed as we have stayed in this hotel for years and this was the worst ever. Not sure I’ll go back as I couldn’t face the drama of been punished for not liking our first room again. I felt like a naughty child for daring to be unhappy with our room. Certainly not good customer service. I must say that the other staff are very helpful and nice. Shame about the person we dealt with

All I wanted was a normal room. No special request. Just a room that was the size advertised and not next to the lift. Very unhelpful person she was. So I gave upon the end. So disappointed as we have stayed in this hotel for years and this was the worst ever. Not sure I’ll go back as I couldn’t face the drama of been punished for not liking our first room again. I felt like a naughty child for daring to be unhappy with our room. Certainly not good customer service. I must say that the other staff are very helpful and nice. Shame about the person we dealt with

We arrived several hours before our check in time and much to our delight they worked to accommodate us with a room. It made readying for my meeting much more conducive. Also, prior to arrival, I spoke to Keyan 2x and he was simply spectacular.

After a long terrible journey to NY, we finally arrive at Sheraton in the middle of the night around 2 am. The man at the front desk states that there is no reservation under my name. Apparently they oversold and he claimed they tried to reach out to me the day before to cancel our booking. The audacity he had to lie to us. My booking was not canceled in the expedia app nor via mail/ text message and I did not have any missed calls from them. He also didn’t offer to help with another solution so we were stranded in the middle of the night. He did not care at all and we just didn’t know what to do now cause we were exhausted and hungry, we couldn't think straight and were literally shocked by this treatment. After we collected ourselves we asked to place some calls to other hotels. And finally after multiple hotels didn’t have availability or even early check-in option, there was one hotel that was very customer friendly and helped us so lovingly and caring: Hotel Hugo (in Soho). It was a blessing in disguise that Sheraton didn’t have a room for us. We even got a complimentary bottle of wine from Hotel Hugo.

The hotel was okay, but immediately outside the front door was filthy. A lot of trash and debris all over the sidewalk. The hotel could pay some one to clean out front, even if it is technically public property. It is a really unpleasant experience going in and out of the property.

Nice room, good price for NYC. Great shower, which I always appreciate. Convenient to A train so it would be easy to get around the city. For tourists I will note that the stretch of Canal Street just to the east of the hotel is a little rough. Not unsafe really but definitely an urban experience. But that's kind of a cool thing about the location that is classic NYC - a few blocks in any direction and you're in a totally different world - the high end shops of Soho to the north, upscale Tribeca to the south, Chinatown (and the small "Little Vietnam" blocks) to the east.

The staff were so welcoming when we checked in and were amazing throughout. Got us in earlier than the time given and we were surprised to be apart of the lounge access! The room was a shock as it was much bigger than anticipated and fit 4 girls with a ton of bags! Right in the heart of SoHo with great spots in walking distance. The roof access was amazing and had the best view, photo below. Could not recommend enough for a fun girls trip! Best weekend ever :)

We have just come back from a weeks stay here and would definitely return. The staff at reception where lovely one girl in particular was amazing with my little girl I didn’t get her name, she could see we was tired after a long flight from the UK and offered us waters and my little girl a treat from a treasure chest when we checked in. We got given a club level room with a happy hour from 5.30-7.30om which included free wine, beer and canapés style food, the view from the terrace was beautiful. The room was nice and big for us as a family of 4. The only thing is we had ants in the bathroom which didn’t bother me but I noticed they were in the bed one day. I told reception who immediately sent someone up to clear them away. I never seen them again. Would definitely stay here again. Location is great to all areas. Thank you for a lovely stay

Really loved our room with an amazing view of the New York skyline. Room was clean and comfy and in a great location in Tribeca, making it super fast to midtown location and walkable to locations like financial district, SoHo, Chinatown and Greenwich Village. My real complaints was that the gym was very small, the bar was absurdly expensive (even for New York!) and they could have made more of an incentive to be more eco friendly, but overall I highly recommend.

no hot water for 5 days - no coffee during the day even though we were paying for club floor. no cocktails until 5 m had to return room service as it was inedible. we asked for a manager on day 2 he came 2 days later while we were sleeping without notice. the club room seats were sopping wet and staff was extremely rude. over $1400 a night? contacting you or amex to charge back.

Staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and just overall great! Location is very convenient to shopping in Soho and eating in Tribeca although being right on Canal St is a little rough, noisy and not the most pleasant of walkways. Still, super easy to get to many places and near subway access. Building was clean but a little tired and rooms could use a little updating. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend getting a club room which gives access to the top floor club room and deck with view.

Happy hour on 21st floor very nice, and breakfast in same area had many options and we got to sit outside on the 21st floor patio to enjoy it one day. Canal St Subway just steps away -- very convenient. Cons included construction on lobby floor which made it feel like a pop up not a destination, and Canal St location which was central but not charming. Overall very positive experience and loved nearby Chinatown, Little Italy and SOHO.

Good size room for family of 4. Bathroom, and especially the walk-in shower, was the best part. Centrally located in Tribeca but Canal street gets super busy and crowded in the afternoons and evenings. Wouldn't recommend if you're travelling with younger kids.
