Nice hotel with friendly, excellent staff. The restaurant has good food with great service and the prices are very reasonable. There's a metro station a minute from the hotel, and an extensive shopping district across the avenue. Many museums and sights to see within easy walking distance. I travel to Santiago every year and this is my new go-to hotel.

The facilities are too old, the bathroom is too small and the courtains don't close well the light. The breakfest is very good and its time is amazing. We can have it from 6:30 to 10:30.

O quarto tem um bom tamanho e o staff muito prestativo. O café não tinha tanta variedade, mas era gostoso. O bom é que deixam antes do café ser servido umas opções de biscoitos e café na recepção para quem sai cedo para os passeios.

Very nice hotel in downtown Santiago. Close to tourist attractions. Very walkable area. The roombI had was 312 and it was really nice. A comfortable bed, quiet, refrigerator, safe and a nice walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious. The restaurant at the hotel was very nice for dinner. Inexpensive and really good food. I will stay here again

El personal que atiende son muy amables, te ayudan en todo, la comida del restaurante es muy buena, yo probe un ceviche de salmon que estuvo delicioso, el desayuno tambien esta rico y completo, la habitacion es funcional, cuenta con camas muy comodas, todo muy limpio, solo hace falta un poco mas de iluminacion, un espejo de cuerpo completo y secadora de pelo un poco mas potente. En general si nos gusto mucho, si lo recomiendo y con gusto volveria a hospedarme alli.

No volvería. Imposible descansar, se escucha la calle hasta la madrugada. No es un 4 estrellas, no tiene mantenimiento y la zona no es agradable. El servicio es prácticamente nulo, ni siquiera dicen buen día. Tanto la habitación como el hotel estaban sucios.

Tiene una excelente ubicación, cerca al metro, lo malo es la bulla de la calle por las noches, es un hotel antiguo pero en buen estado, en la habitación que estuve no había calefacción y en las noches estábamos a 9 grados, fui a recepción a pedir y me dijeron que no funcionaba, lo demás está bien, el desayuno buffet estaba bien, limpieza excelente.

Breakfast was really good lots of selection, however room itself is quite dated and old, bits and pieces falling off the wall and looks dirty(might not be the case) , the area itself is quite dodgy at night, lots of homeless and people wandering around suspiciously, room service cleaning was nice , just the property itself is very old, very old, walls are thin and can get quite noisy at night

That's not a 4*s hotel. Room was in poor shape, drapes dirty and the fabric torn in curtains showing like a waste house. In the bathroom the wood of the door was rotten .... very sad ...

Razoável. O quarto standart é muito ruim. As cortinas rasgadas, não tinha espaço nem para as malas. Banheiro sem ventilação. Barulho na rua e nos corredores. A única coisa que vale a pena é a localização.

My room was older with fixtures from another decade. However the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower hot. The breakfast offered had many offerings. I did wish for a drinking glass in my room. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room is big but noisy (from next door and above rooms, lots of dragging of furniture). Room has no kettle boiling facility nor any cups for drinking of your own water or brushing of teeth. Happy hour drinks (2-for-1) are only for drinks marked in a certain color (scanned via QR code) which is not obvious or highlighted to English speaking clients. However the hotel is very close to metro station and walkable to main streets making it a convenient base.

The room was on the side that goes to a strip outside where there are beggers all day and night drinking and making a party all night. Very noisy. The shower was terrible. No water pressure and it had a old curtain the water pile up as if the drainage was plug so we had to take a very quick shower so the water didn't go into the bathroom I have stayed at this hotel before and had at a different newer room This time was bad

The rooms are OK, but it is noticeable that they last a renovation a long time ago—the heating/air conditioning system changes according to the season. I had to endure a sweltering room in the fall because the city temperature was still high, but the air conditioning no longer worked, only the heating. I suggest the hotel entrepreneurs install ceiling fans to have an alternative on hot autumn/winter days, as the heat seeps in even opening all the windows, which makes the room even noisier. Breakfast is OK, has variety, and the dining area is lovely. The hotel is located in an area that has become very noisy and unsafe at night. During the day, there is a lot of noise from public transportation, a neighboring gymnasium, and street vendors and street performers working close to the hotel. The hotel has a strict 3 pm check-in time. I arrived at 8 am and had to pay for a full day to get a room from that time. The price for that extra day was higher than the Expedia price.

My overall experience was okay. I found that the staff weren’t able to help with a lot of things such as English was not as great. They were very rude and unhelpful a lot of the times. The front desk was always over crowded with guests checking in which made it hard to ask for services. I found better hotels around the area with greater service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel personally if you don’t speak English. The breakfast was very simple as for a 4 star I expected more options. Also the breakfast options don’t change during the weekdays. So it’s the same all the time.

Hotel Fundador in Santiago, Chile became our home away from home as we travelled through Chile returning each time to stay here before catching the next flight out to yet another Chilean destination. We must mention the front desk staff, their patience, efficiency and smiling welcome each time, especially Zaida and Luciano.

The staff here is SO kind. The breakfast buffet is terrific. They are very accommodating with leaving luggage at the front desk when you arrive early and when you check out. This hotel is minutes from the Metro and in walking distance of everything in el Centro and Lastarria.

Located about one minute walk from metro, the staff is friendly and helpful, they speak english. It is walking distance from plaza armas, santa lucia hill and mercado central (10-15 mins), the hotel is clean.

The room was old and the bathroom.dirty. one bulb did not work and the lock in the room.did not work either. The room was on the side that goes to a strip outside where there are beggers all day and night drinking and making a party all night. Very noisy. The shower was terrible. No water pressure and it had a old curtain the water pile up as if the drainage was plug so we had to take a very quick shower so the water didn't go into the bathroom I have stayed at this hotel before and had at a different newer room This time was bad

This hotel was walking distance to Palacio La Moneda, Santa Lucía and Barrio Listarria. When we needed to go farther, we had the Universidad de Chile metro stop nearby. Excellent service from staff! We enjoyed our stay!

The rooms are OK, but it is noticeable that they last a renovation a long time ago—the heating/air conditioning system changes according to the season. I had to endure a sweltering room in the fall because the city temperature was still high, but the air conditioning no longer worked, only the heating. I suggest the hotel entrepreneurs install ceiling fans to have an alternative on hot autumn/winter days, as the heat seeps in even opening all the windows, which makes the room even noisier. Breakfast is OK, has variety, and the dining area is lovely. The hotel is located in an area that has become very noisy and unsafe at night. During the day, there is a lot of noise from public transportation, a neighboring gymnasium, and street vendors and street performers working close to the hotel. The hotel has a strict 3 pm check-in time. I arrived at 8 am and had to pay for a full day to get a room from that time. The price for that extra day was higher than the Expedia price.

Breakfast was really good lots of selection, however room itself is quite dated and old, bits and pieces falling off the wall and looks dirty(might not be the case) , the area itself is quite dodgy at night, lots of homeless and people wandering around suspiciously, room service cleaning was nice , just the property itself is very old, very old, walls are thin and can get quite noisy at night

My overall experience was okay. I found that the staff weren’t able to help with a lot of things such as English was not as great. They were very rude and unhelpful a lot of the times. The front desk was always over crowded with guests checking in which made it hard to ask for services. I found better hotels around the area with greater service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel personally if you don’t speak English. The breakfast was very simple as for a 4 star I expected more options. Also the breakfast options don’t change during the weekdays. So it’s the same all the time.

Nice hotel with friendly, excellent staff. The restaurant has good food with great service and the prices are very reasonable. There's a metro station a minute from the hotel, and an extensive shopping district across the avenue. Many museums and sights to see within easy walking distance. I travel to Santiago every year and this is my new go-to hotel.

The facilities are too old, the bathroom is too small and the courtains don't close well the light. The breakfest is very good and its time is amazing. We can have it from 6:30 to 10:30.

The staff here is SO kind. The breakfast buffet is terrific. They are very accommodating with leaving luggage at the front desk when you arrive early and when you check out. This hotel is minutes from the Metro and in walking distance of everything in el Centro and Lastarria.

Un hotel de época sin nada sorprente, el desayuno mediocre que sirven en la mañana (de los 4 días siempre dieron huevo y salchicha con los mismos jugos y quesos) deja mucho que desear, en su habitación una pantalla que no es smart tv te limita a tener estancia a gusto, llegamos a las 11 de la Noche y nadie abría por qué no escuchaban, se tapó el baño en la noche y nadie podía destaparlo... Nunca vuelvo, busquen otras opciones, lo bueno es que está cerca del centro pero frente al hotel hay mucha inseguridad y suciedad, que no te engañen las fotos.

El personal que atiende son muy amables, te ayudan en todo, la comida del restaurante es muy buena, yo probe un ceviche de salmon que estuvo delicioso, el desayuno tambien esta rico y completo, la habitacion es funcional, cuenta con camas muy comodas, todo muy limpio, solo hace falta un poco mas de iluminacion, un espejo de cuerpo completo y secadora de pelo un poco mas potente. En general si nos gusto mucho, si lo recomiendo y con gusto volveria a hospedarme alli.

That's not a 4*s hotel. Room was in poor shape, drapes dirty and the fabric torn in curtains showing like a waste house. In the bathroom the wood of the door was rotten .... very sad ...
