NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Disgusting. Booked a "3-bedroom family suite" for 2 adults and 3 young kids. On check-in we were directed to 3 small twin rooms, one down a small flight of stairs from the others, all accessible from the main stairs/corridor used by other guests. No ensuite so had to share a bathroom with other guests. I said I booked a family suite, not 3 separate rooms, was told "the rooms are close together". I asked if they were connected internally, was told no. When I said that requires children to sleep alone without an adult in the room, staff just shrugged, offering no solution. We had to drag a mattress from one room (which didn't have a working light anyway) into one of the others so the kids didn't have to sleep alone. The place is filthy and smells bad. It's tacky and run down, with plenty of discoloured, worn or damaged decor/furnishings. On top of that, as we walked up to the rooms we heard loud arguing in a room and, as we passed, somebody came out shouting and swearing and slammed the door. That sort of thing continued for the rest of the night, people drunk, smoking weed, continuing to be loud, and more shouting, swearing and slamming the door. Staff did nothing about it. We looked elsewhere but nothing was available, so we had to stay there. Hotels.com said the property wouldn’t refund us because we “fully utilised the accommodation” even though they advertised something that was not even available – terrible!
