We reserved and prepaid a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room because "the hotel was full". We were transferred to a non-smoking room the next morning but there was cigarette smoke coming in through the AC vent. It took 2 room changes to finally get a smoke-free room. Except for the doormen who are very polite and helpful, most other staff are impolite. The worst is room service, who come in with an attitude, require immediate payment, then look visibly angry when they realize they have to make another trip to bring the visa terminal. The worst thing about this property is that all staff will knock on the door twice then immediately enter the room with their pass, which constitutes an invasion of privacy that is unfound in any other hotel I have ever stayed at. Let alone a 5-star Hilton. Another disappointment was the impossibility to take a private Turkish bath. We will never stay at a DoubleTree again.

It isnl the third time I stay DoubleTree Old Town. It's conveniently located near the old town, walkable distance to Gran Bazaar, Aya Sofia etc. Tram T1 and Metro M2 are very close. Breakfast is good value, the spa is nice and it's really a plus after a long day walking.

Perfect hotel with all the facilities and tram right in front . Grand bazar 10 min walk , blue mosque just 3 tram stops away or 20 min walk . Our stay was very comfortable and our room was upgraded as well . Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Overall a very clean and perfect hotel

I did not like you cannot have food in your room. I’m sure this is to make them more money. Their food for dinner is bunch of fried American things. Once you step in hotel feel gouged. Breakfast 25 euros. It is great. Coke in minibar 8.50 USA. Staff was nice but this hotel is for business travelers who want their Hilton rewards points. The hotel does not have a driveway. It’s hard to get into hotel. The streets around hotel are tore up. I arrived to a place a did not know how to get into hotel. Hotel is noisy for street construction I think that area. Would be noisy if there were no street construction.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to İstanbul! It is very safe, there are always 1 or 2 security guards stationed outside the hotel entrance. Before you enter, you have to go through a security check. It has a very chic look, with 5 floors and beautiful glass bridges and chandeliers. Staff are very respectful, and there is a restaurant on the ground floor and a spa on the third floor. The best room service is provided, they give extra amenities like shower caps and vanity kits. There is also a minibar that you can buy from. At nighttime, I called the front desk to ask to bring an extra pillow to my room , and within a minute, it arrived! There is a lot to do a few hundred meters within reach of the hotel, including the blue mosque.

This is not a 5* hotel. The location is great but in every other way this is a standard doubletree in the 3* region. Rooms are basic. The cleaner never seemed to refill anything. They were really stingy with free water. The staff were not nice. I lost my headphones and they were really unhelpful. They could only have gone missing in reception or in the luggage room and I don’t believe they looked properly for them. A pair of my jeans had fallen out of my bag whilst they had it in the luggage hold and they hadn’t noticed. The spa opens quite late making it basically unusable on a city visit. Honestly you can do better for how expensive this is.

2024年5月24日から4泊で夫婦で滞在致しました。 YouTubeにて4泊の滞在なら旧市街が良いと言ってたのでこちらのホテルに決めました。しかし立地的には良いですが新市街やカドキョイと比べるとレストランやカフェなどが無くてとても不便でした。チックイン、チックアウトの時のフロントのスタッフはとてもクールで親しみやすく無い方でした。お部屋は2階でしたが窓のカーテンを開けるとやはり旧市街と言う感じでした。お部屋はとても綺麗で明るくて良い感じでした。私はフレーバーティーが好きなのでリクエストをするととても感じの良いスタッフの方が沢山持って来てくれました。ドライヤーも固定では無い為良かったです。バスローブやスリッパも有りクオリティが高いですね。地下にはハマムやサウナが有り私は1度だけ夫婦でスチームサウナを利用致しました。滞在中に夜中の2時にお部屋のドアの外で男性の怒鳴る声が1時間しており何時もなら起きない旦那さんまで目が覚めてしまいました。こう言うのは旅行中はとても辛い事ですね。外出の際にフロントの方に伝えると部屋をチェンジすると言われましたが夜中の出発の為お断りをしてそのまま外食致しました。又ホテルからアクサライのバス乗り場迄はタクシーは行かないとの事でしたので行きの帰りも歩きで移動致しました。ホテル自体はとても良いと思いますが新市街、カドキョイと比べたら次回はカドキョイに宿泊したいと思います。

We wanted to book this hotel for the area mainly, but also for the comfort of knowing its a Hilton. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, we also liked the cookie we received at the check in. For the room, we think that the pillows were in quite poor condition, flat. Under the bed it was dusty. We expected better conditions and for next trip, we will most probably get back to booking 4 star hotels in Istanbul.

The staff were absolutely amazing. They even gave their istkart to my friend during the duration of the trip which was very much appreciated! The room was relatively clean, as were the linen and towels. Location was very good, right in front of the tram spot and walkable to the Sultanahmet area. The rooms next to us were smoking which was coming through the vents - not nice at all. The beds creaked and the mattresses were poor, soft and sunk.

Well it was a tragedy to stay there. The staff are only good at helping there own national people. Other nationals they are rude to them very aggressive and not helpful. My bedroom for 3 days was not cleaned we asked them to clean it after the first day and it was not cleaned At all. No chemicals were given it was a shock as I have been to Istanbul many times And stayed here before ! Moreover I was shouted at my a manger as we went to the roof top to have 2 drinks which Was a Pepsi and a orange juice I didn’t have the payment so I said I’ll go to the bureau de change and the manger knew this however with the manager knowing this she followed Me from the 5th floor to the main exit with many Guests to the exit pressurising me to put instantly I complied and said im Going to the high st to change pounds to Lira when I returned to The hotel I paid and she still argued sayin why English people so stupid I have few recordings of this situation and explained to her as a manager you should not shout at me and not be aggressive. The room was filthy it had Condoms On the balcony many cigarette ashes on the floor. Many bed stains and holes in the bedding. The bathroom Was very filthy and had urine stains and was not cleaned It was a nightmare. I will Never return to this hotel. I demand I get a refund for this hotel

I always stay at doubletree old town when in Istanbul, position is really convenient for sightseeing and with several transport options. Breakfast is great value. This time only the room was a bit noisy, it looked like the window wasn't isolating the noise from the street. Still it was a pleasant stay.

Es war schrecklich laut, obwohl kein Fenster offen.Wir konnten maximal 2 Std./Nacht schlafen. Ein Autogehupe und Geschrei auf der Strasse. Würden Hotel nicht mehr buchen!! Das Zimmer hatte keine 30 qm wie angegeben, es war schmal und eng, für 3 Personen ein Käfig. Auch oberes Stockwerk konnten wir nicht haben, obwohl wir bei der Rezeption darum, so wie bei der Buchung darum gebeten haben. Wir wurden dauernd vertröstet, aber kein Erfolg. Wenn das Hotel kein oberes Stockwerk mehr zur Verfügung hat, müssen sie das angeben. Wir hätten dann ein anderes Hotel gebucht. Zum Urlaub gehört auch schlafen und nicht die Nacht über ärgern.Für die Schlafstörungen war das Zimmer viel zu teuer !!. Wir sind Hilton Kunden auf der ganzen Welt, haben Member-Nr. auch angegeben, aber kein upgrade erhalten, und nie so einen schlaflosen Urlaub verbracht !

Nice hotel, very comfy beds. Tram stop right outside which was convenient, easy walk to Grand Bazaar. However, we struggled to get taxis and Ubers who were willing to take us to our hotel, I think because of the traffic in the old town they preferred to accept other jobs. Plenty of food options near by. Noisy area outside we stayed in 3 different rooms during multi stop trip some were noisier than others.

The hotel was very centrally located in the old town and had a short distance to the most famous tourist attractions. It is only a few hundred meters to walk to the Grand Bazaar, and three stops by tram to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The cleanliness at the hotel was also excellent. The service was impeccable as well, and all the staff were very friendly and service-minded. We would especially like to highlight Mr. Mehmet Kaya and Mr. Usman, who were always cheerful, helpful, and service-oriented both at the breakfast buffet and in the rooftop restaurant. The reason the hotel does not receive 5 stars is that we had higher expectations, which unfortunately means we have to deduct a bit. The hotel bed was not as comfortable as we expected, even though it was large enough for three people (two adults and a child). We also requested a baby cot on the first night upon arrival and were told that there was no baby cot available, but that it would be followed up the next day. We never heard anything more about the baby cot. The hotel is somewhat difficult to reach by taxi, and we experienced that several taxi drivers could not find the way.

Amazing location , very close to all touristic places and very close to the metro. If you are planning to use taxi then I dont recommend as its hard to get there the taxi, but its always easy and more convenient to use the metro and go where ever you want.
