Good service and breakfast. Room was clean but dated. Pool & hot tub were nice

Great price for a nice motel with a pool and hot tub. Breakfast was really good too!

We did not see any disgusting bugs so that was a big deal! We appreciate the warm food available in the morning...in fact, the waffles, hot sausage, eggs, etc. is better that any continental breakfast I ever encountered. BUT, the stained carpet, yuck, the broken elevator, the greenish pool & the cold, broken hot tub was TOO MUCH!! MY BILL SHOULD BE 1/2 WHAT I PAID. Thank the lord the air conditioning in the room worked and we loved the pillows, the bed was comfortable and the curtains are total black out!

There's something called a Super Inn between the Quality and Baymont that looked sketchy. The pool and hot tub were closed due to the recent deep freeze. My room was nice and staff was friendly

Kind of disappointed that the hot tub didn't work, but what was really disappointing was the elevator being out of order. We didn't need it but felt bad for those who did. The owner I believe was really nice and friendly. Good location to both New Buffalo and the casino. Close proximity to a McDonald's and gas station and right off the highway. Amazing pillows and comfy bed. Decent continental breakfast too. Honestly, though not worth the $140 cost. Was not about to pay over $200 though for a room we were just going to sleep in. Give the whole experience a 3.5 out of 5.

Love the shuttle bus

The room was clean and staff friendly. Enjoyed having shuttles to and from the casino.

Both the hot tub and only elevator on site were down. We were on the 3rd floor and had to walk those stairs several times a day. We were not aware of the elevator being down until our 3pm check on the day we arrived. We didnt ask to recieve a discount, and shouldnt of had to. We should of been immediately compensated for the severe inconvenience. I have since contacted corporate about this issue. Thankfully my husband and myself dont have severe health issues, we would of had to attemp to find last minute accommodations, or be forced to turn around and go home.

Hot tub was cold and dirty. Pool was cold.

Room had roaches and flies. I had to sleep with the covers over my head as the flies were landing on my face. I stuffed wash cloths in my shoes to protect from the roaches and put my clothes in the fridge. Went to take a shower and the water was a lovely shade of brown. Front desk acknowledged the problem and said it wasn’t a five star hotel.

Hot tub was broken (at least we think, cuz it was freezing). Blankets had multiple stains on them. Just good for cheap price and location.

Air conditioning literally did not turn on, thermostat didn’t turn on at all. My room was right above the indoor pool and I could hear children screaming all hours until the pool closed. The whole hotel smelled like mildew, especially in the hallways. The room was ok but DEFINITELY not cleaned thoroughly.

Room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could be cleaner though and more towels provided.

Room is in need of an update. Looks like something horrible happened on the carpet in the room we stayed in. Hairs on the shower curtain, found four live ants. Breakfast was pretty bad and the “rules” are weird, not everyone wants to eat in the designated eating area and would rather eat in their room.

Whirlpool was dirty as was the floor in the pool area. Pool was not heated in November. Room had not been vacuumed prior to check in. (. Doritos were on the floor).

Room was dirty, smelled like mold. Bathroom was dirty, limited towels. Free "breakfast" was almost none existent. Do not stay here..

Older property, needs updating.

It was a nice and clean place to stay. Although, there was no internet at the location.

My hubby and I were there for 5 nights and every thing was pretty good. Staff was very friendly and helped with a broken closet door in the room right away. The biggest issue were the beds. Way to hard for my taste. I asked for another blanket so I could double it and sleep on top to make it a bit softer. Also the breakfast was ok. Maybe put out some add ons for the yogurt.

Room 106 was ok if you sleep with noise cancelling earplugs. The proximity to the main lobby which any conversation is reverberated tenfold, the empty toilet paper rolls and the screaming refrigerator made using a 3rd party to book instead of going direct to the hotel my very last time booking anything via 3rd party.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The beds are super comfortable! The breakfast had a nice variety and the front desk staff was cordial. The pool had a sign that says the water was cold, so we didn’t want to chance it and freeze so we opted out. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I am very disappointed with how the staff handled a personal emergency at the Quality Inn at 18830 Harbor Country Dr, New Buffalo, MI 49117.  My reservation was booked through Hotels.com and I was traveling to this area for a particular business purpose; however, a couple of days before my travel, my mother-in-law had a major medical emergency.  I canceled my plans so that I could hold vigil with my family.  I contacted this location twice and asked for a refund since I had just experienced some extenuating circumstances, and both times, my request was declined.  I had a reservation for another hotel in connection with this trip, and that hotel never questioned my request for a refund which was granted. I am very disappointed in this level of customer service, and I will never use Choice Hotels again.

The staff (Rebecca) was welcoming and friendly making check in easy and enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable for a great stay. I appreciate the care that was taken in the morning to keep breakfast items stocked all the way through the open hours.

The hostess when we first arrived was cold and curt. She wanted nothing to do with us service wise. She was literally hiding in the laundry room, avoiding ANY activity at the fromt desk. Told us to go away and come back later. When we came back later, a different young lady was working the counter. Things went smoothly then. Sadly, my wife left her coat in the closet and we didn't realize that until we arrived home (2 hours after we checked out). Called immediately and stated our issue. Was told to call back in 15 minutes. Whomever i spoke with at the counter didn't see her coat anywhere in the room or closet and told us to call back tomorrow. It's a downhill ski inspired Columbia Jacket...i.e. not cheap. If no one besides managmemt and housekeeping have access to the room, it should still be there OR in managment's custody. I should NOT have to call back in the morning. Despite our oversight, if the coat is "gone" we fully expect their insurance to cover the theft of our property. It's a hot-pink and blue parka, you CAN'T miss it.

This location was nice, close drive to shopping and the beach. However, when I booked the website said the hotel offered a pool and hot tub, but when we arrived there was a sign stating the hot tub wasn't working. I would have booked next door if I had known this, website wasn't updated to reflect no hot tub. At check in, I was told the elevator wasn't working, and asked if I wanted to go ahead with my booking. I stepped back and said I was going to check the hotel next door to see if we could still book a room there instead, as they DID have a working hot tub. As soon as the desk lady heard me say that, she quickly told me at the hotel next door (Baymont) their elevator was out as well. I hesitated, but ultimately believed her and went ahead with booking, checking in on the 3rd floor. We went over to the Baymont the next day, and I asked if their elevator was working or not, as Quality Inn told me it was not. She looked confused and said yes it is in fact working. I felt upset immediately knowing this hotel lied to me in order to keep my booking. Choice hotels offered me rewards points in exchange for my less than great experience, but I am not sure I will trust them again.

Easy,smooth check in

The room was neat and clean. The person at the front desk when I checked in was helpful and friendly. When I went to check out no one was at the front desk. After 15 minutes a lady came and checked me out. But no “Sorry you had to wait.” “Thank you.” or explanation. Will probably not recommend or return.

Check in was fast and desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The door leading to the next door room had no dead bolt and no way to lock it. I complained that I felt unsafe and they said there was no other room or remedy to the situation. I expressed my frustration and they said I could leave if I didnt want to stay. The front desk staff was dismissive and rude, including the manager of the property

The fire alarm went off at 3:40 am due to a faulty panel. Staff didn’t communicate as everyone stood outside. 30 minutes later fire dept. arrived. After finally getting back in our room around 4:30 am the strobe continued to go off and then again the fire siren went off.

Clean and great location!

Very nice staff. Breakfast was scant but OK. Liked the proximity to highway and New Buffalo and Four Winds Casino.

It is close to downtown New Buffalo

Great spot to stay when in New Buffalo. Away from the crowds and high prices, but easy enough to get into town. Easy drive to visit Indiana Dunes National Park.

Nice, quiet, clean. Right off the interstate and minutes from downtown New Buffalo. Won't hesitate to stay again.

Location was convenient as it’s right off the highway and only about 3 miles from the downtown area. Good value for the nightly rate. Exactly what you should expect.

It was an excellent and convenient place to stay on our trip. Unfortunately, there were no gas stations nearby.

Needed some maintenance but was clean and affordable for the area. Pool area needed cleaning. Breakfast was great and well stocked.

This was a nice place to stay except for one thing: the person that checked us in on a Sunday evening said the breakfast was open until 10 a.m. My husband went down to get breakfast the next morning (a little after 9 a.m.) and the breakfast was closed. Another person behind the counter was very rude to my husband when he inquired about the times. He was told wrong, but she was very snotty because he didn't notice the sign after being told what time the breakfast time ended.

The air conditioner worked great, and parking was easy with plenty of space. Breakfast was small but satisfying.

The only complaint we have is the breakfast quality and options. The sausage pattys were so bad, my husband almost got sick at the table. Very few options and peanut butter consistsed of a generic jar sitting on the counter. No salt ornpepper. Very very disappointed in our Free Breakfast

Comfortable, quiet, inecpensive with decent breakfast!!!

So many times, the continental breakfast is limited, especially if you get there later. This was not the case! Excellent choices! I have stayed at another hotel locally and was very disappointed but was so pleased with everything from the time we checked in until we checked out!
