The hotel is very clean. There is a laundry room on the 2nd floor. There is also a dedicated coffee machine for you to enjoy. There is filtered water on each floor for you to drink. You can use bottled water and fill it up. It is very convenient. There is a gym on the 2nd floor. The room size is very suitable for two people. There are a full set of tableware, pots, bowls and plates in the kitchen. I will book this hotel again next time I come back. It is very convenient and has convenient transportation.!

Great value. Small but clean, quiet, well equipped rooms. Central location squarely between Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s but surprisingly quiet inside. Nice all-day coffee, water refill station w reusable bottles, small gym! Hope to return.

great location — but that’s where it stops. Both of our rooms were extremely dated. The furniture was stained, peeling, or missing parts. The walls and carpets were dirty, and one of the rooms had water stains and peeling paint on the ceiling. It looked like no maintenance had been done in over a decade. The beds were very uncomfortable — one of them was just two twin beds pushed together, causing a dip in the middle that made it hard to sleep. On our last day, the AC stopped working properly. When we checked the unit, we found the vents covered in black mold. I brought it up to the front desk and was told they would “have it cleaned” — as if that would fix the larger problem. If you stay here, just be prepared for a very worn, dirty room. Run away

Hotel is in the heart of Rockefeller Plaza, few blocks from Central Park & many other sites. Staff is super helpful & nice. Room was clean but hallways never seemed to get vacuumed. Lights from Rockefeller Center will keep you up & room was warm regardless of the thermostat setting. It’s NYC so rooms are small but you’re not in it much.

The decor was old. I felt like I was staying in an old Best Western or something. It could be noisy. The shower had hair in it. The whole place needs to be remodeled. The A/C barely worked so it was hot in there while sleeping. It’s way over priced for the accommodations you get. Won’t stay there again.

I’ve stayed at many “affordable” midtown hotels over the years and this is one of the best. Spacious and modern room by NY standards. Excellent service. Love the location. And quiet - very few sirens etc on this block.

The Jewel is a Must Stay location in NYC. It is close to all the locations that we planned for, and I was able to get the Terrace Room I requested for a view of Radio City Music Hall. All the staff was very friendly and Derick made sure all our needs were taken care of. Our room(1110) was excellent and we will definately be returning to The Jewel.

Some of the ladies who work at reception are very rude, men are the way nicer. The hotel is outdated , but still ok. Pick a higher category rooms and not on the 3 floor.

This is our go to hotel! It’s so convenient to the subway or uber rides and you can walk to so many different areas in the city. The best thing is, the staff is incredible! They all truly care about the guests and are always there to answer questions!

Even though we stayed for less than 24 hrs in NYC, The Jewel Hotel and its staff made our super short stay so much better! All staff members were so friendly and attentive, and the room was great. I would definitely return to this hotel for future NYC trips.

This is a “gem” of a property. The location was perfect, the staff was fantastic and everything went smoothly. I loved that there is a living area with tea and coffee and able to get out of your room. We found it to be very quiet and enjoyed the stay immensely. The location right across from Rockefeller center also meant we could access a lot very easily.

A nice little boutique hotel, convenient to everything we wanted to do. Within walking distance of Broadway theaters, museums, and the park. We had a view of Radio City Music Hall out of one window, and Rockefeller Center out of the other!

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Smack in the middle of midtown, one and a half blocks from St. Patrick’s, or that other cathedral— Saks! My room was great for a solo trip into the city; would have been tight if my husband had been along. But the bedding was great, and the room surprisingly quiet. Walkable to Central Park if heading uptown, grand Central if heading downtown; theatres if heading west, shopping and restaurants if heading east. In other words…midtown! No restaurant in the hotel, and it’s a mostly electronic check in (friendly if sparse staff, therefore). Perfect for access to Rock Center or Radio City as well. Would go again if traveling alone.

More like a 4.5 star rating. This was the perfect hotel for our NYC trip because we didn’t plan on being in the room much. Yes the room was very small, but it had everything we needed - comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, fridge and microwave, full length mirror. Everyone on the front desk team was pleasant and accommodating and held our luggage in storage after checkout so we didn’t have to carry it around the city. If you’re looking for a simple, clean, no-frills, centrally located hotel in Midtown then the Jewel is the spot for you. I would definitely stay again!

Location, location, location! Price, coffee machine on 2nd floor, and hydration stations make it our choice each time we visit. Parking is only $40 a day so that works when we drive into city.

No frills hotel in very good location, fairly clean (carpets and furniture were tired) and bed was comfortable. Asked for a quiet room and was accommodated. No food but close to many fast casual options for pick up or delivery.

Perfect location, fantastic staff! Lovely little touches like a shaving mirror in the bathroom, cold purified water stations on each floor including reusable bottles, an espresso machine that makes really really good coffee, and a guest laundry! The thing I love about boutique hotels is that they are very personable and bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay! The Jewel is a gem!
