4 out of 5 stars. Elevator was malfunctioning/property was under major renovation and was never advertised as such. Asked for a first floor room and they had none available. Front desk staff had to escort us upstairs in the elevator and we felt we could not come and go as we pleased. My wife had just had surgery and had we known this we would have booked a different hotel. Otherwise our stay was fine, but these things should be advertised so people can make better decisions on where they stay. Staff was apologetic and friendly. Just minus one star for the elevator inconvenience.

The staff were very friendly and the best part of the stay. Breakfast was better than I anticipated, with a good variety of choices and great staff. The gym needs work (only one piece of working equipment) and the hot tub was not available. At least the pool was nice, as it was too hot outside to use an outdoor pool.

The only thing I liked about the property is that the staff were attentive and that it had breakfast offered at no extra charge. What I did not like. -- I did not have access to the elevator and my room was on the second floor for the entire weekend. I was planning on using the fitness center for my workouts both days but it was unavailable. I also did not have another option for fitness, as the pool too was out of operation for the entire weekend. In this day and age to have spotty WIFI service is ridiculous. In what I consider to be a halfway point between to major cities you would think that almost all of your travelers would require dedicated, problem free WIFI. I had to login several times before it finally accepted the password I was given, and even then it would kick me off every 30-35 minutes for 1-2 minutes at a time. I am would have expected for such no use of regular facilities that a discount of 25% would have been offered but since, I received none when I checked in. I am likely to submit for a refund because I did not book my stay at this location to not been able to use all of the facilities that it offered and would have booked somewhere else.

It is a La Quinta. It provided as expected. We didn’t eat in the hotel but breakfast seemed to be just okay (standard waffles, fake eggs and frozen sausage patties); coffee was good. The place was under renovations but we had been told so in advanced so no surprises there. What was surprising was how clean everything was in spite of the construction. In all it was a good stay. I slept comfortably and went on with my trip the next day.

Rebecca at check-in was amazing! Reviews of this property were mixed so before I decided to book I asked to view a room. She took the time to take me to the available King room and it was much nicer than I anticipated. Yes, it is a bit dated in the bathroom especially, but the room itself was clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed. I think if they repaint the ugly purple wall, remove the carpet and put in the modern flooring and replace some lamps it would be 5-star. The breakfast was decent but typical with eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. The gym is ok but no free weights. I would stay here again, as I really appreciate good service and a clean comfortable room to rest.

The hotel seems nice enough for what it is but there were live cockroaches all over the bathroom. We did not discover them until the middle of the night when we turned on the light to use the restroom and they were everywhere. If I wasn’t so tired, I would’ve left, but I ended up staying the night and getting out of there as quickly as I could in the morning without a shower or even brushing my teeth. I can tolerate a lot of things but not live cockroaches in my room. That is an easy fix and why they would allow that is beyond me. I won’t be back.

Staff was very cordial. Room was great, except couch was not very comfortable if you tried to set and watch a show. The rooms above and below our room were a little noisy. ie people yelling and slamming doors next to us, and the other side had the ice machine where people came and got ice, slamming the door when leaving, and then the room above us sounded like an elephant walking around. I don't thin my wife got a full night sleep anyday we were there. From 9:30 to 1 am, and then people waking up at the crack of dawn.

The hotel was good enough for the weekend. The pillows in our room were TERRIBLE (flat and lumpy) and definitely need to be replaced. Also, the showerhead was a bit wonky and could stand to be replaced also. However, the staff was friendly and the rest of our stay was good. We will be back for our event next year (but bringing our own pillows next time)

We had high hopes that LQ Columbus had upped their game after previous visits with skimpy breakfast and very worn-out facilities. No such luck. They have refreshed some public spaces, but the breakfast choices are the minimum you could get away with. Internet speed is just above 1995 dial-up, which affects the internet-only TV service. We had to reboot the TV connection 4 times to make it through a movie. Many other examples that tell us the owner is on a "spend as little as possible" business plan. I would avoid this one.

The air conditioning units in my room and many of the rooms were not working and the ac rattled all night. Shower head holder was broken, slid down and hit me in the head. Toilet paper holder broke and missing. Stinks on the entire second floor. Management not in any hurry to make things right.

Decent place to stay but room needed a lot of work. Door lock looked like it had been kicked in at least twice and when opened scraped the floor. NO USB plugs in room. Sink wouldn’t drain properly until I removed trash from drain. TP holder was about to fall off wall. Breakfast ends at 9:00 am which may be okay for someone working but we were on vacation and missed breakfast.

I came in around noon to pick up keys since I was in the area and front desk wanted to charge me $30 early check in! I’ve stayed in many hotels in the past that would never charge a fee! My a/ c was very loud the entire time. Front desk was definitely not happy to be there. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was decent. I think with all the construction they should probably be offering better rates and stop being greedy with fees.

The staff were very friendly and the best part of the stay. Breakfast was better than I anticipated, with a good variety of choices and great staff. The gym needs work (only one piece of working equipment) and the hot tub was not available. At least the pool was nice, as it was too hot outside to use an outdoor pool.

Friendly staff at check in. Had an issue with great potential for injury occur within 30 minutes of being in the room but the staff resolved it and transferred us to another room very efficiently.

Horrible service we noticed a large dirt ring in our bath tube to staff tried to convince us it was rust from hard water in the are it took 2 hours to convince them to give us another room we will never stay here again the staff seemed dismissive of our need very rude and unprofessional

Rebecca at check-in was amazing! Reviews of this property were mixed so before I decided to book I asked to view a room. She took the time to take me to the available King room and it was much nicer than I anticipated. Yes, it is a bit dated in the bathroom especially, but the room itself was clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed. I think if they repaint the ugly purple wall, remove the carpet and put in the modern flooring and replace some lamps it would be 5-star. The breakfast was decent but typical with eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. The gym is ok but no free weights. I would stay here again, as I really appreciate good service and a clean comfortable room to rest.

Always great service and very convenient. I love that we are safe with all access being from inside,and very well lit parking. The breakfast is early enough and long enough to accommodate most departure times. Across the street, we walked, a wonderful restaurant, Nancy's steakhouse.. awesome. A McDonald's and a gas station also steps away..loved it

Chloe at the front desk was phenomenal. Very sweet and helpful. If it wasn’t for her, I probably would have downgraded everything. Hotel was in the midst of being renovated. The breakfast and coffee was hideous. Bathtub had hairs on the handrail bar. But a very comfy bed and warm hospitality!

First the good ... The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good variety of options for people with different dietary needs. The location was convenient to where I needed to be. There was an issue with water in the hallway because another guest had dripped a lot of water from the pool to the elevator, and the staff got that cleaned up quickly after I let them know about it Negatives ... The hallways were hot and uncomfortable (although the room temp was fine). The room was not well soundproofed, so there was a lot of noise from the hallway in the mornings (and being right next to the elevator added to that). The shower took a long time to get to a comfortable temperature - we actually thought there was no hot water at first, but it did warm up part of the way through the shower. Overall, it was a good place and I'd stay there again. I would just ask to be put in a room farther from the elevator.

It is a La Quinta. It provided as expected. We didn’t eat in the hotel but breakfast seemed to be just okay (standard waffles, fake eggs and frozen sausage patties); coffee was good. The place was under renovations but we had been told so in advanced so no surprises there. What was surprising was how clean everything was in spite of the construction. In all it was a good stay. I slept comfortably and went on with my trip the next day.

Fast checkin, hotel was clean, leaving at 5 am and happy I was told there would be coffee. I never have a chance to eat breakfast since it's so late. If even a danish or fruit could be put out with the coffee would be great.

The bed was nice and comfortable. This is our second stay here. The first time our room was nice. This second time the room needed a little TLC. One of the drawers has a chunk taken out of it and the drawers woolens close all the way. The walls needed some paint touch up and the corners needed some fixing. There was also no toilet paper role holder on the wall. The bed was comfy and clean. This second time also had a more motel feel to it.
