You can walk to the main tourist attractions. Parking is not available for all the number of rooms, so I would recommend checking in early. I would stay here again.

Amazing stay. The free parking was a HUGE bonus, especially with the location in the city. The parking lot was well-lit and under surveillance. The staff was very helpful and extremely kind, and the hotel seemed safe. Not too much noise at night. Overall, I would absolutely recommend.

The hotel offered a great stay close to Ghiradelli square and other tourist attractions. The free parking was limited, but we got there early enough that it wasn’t a problem. If the lot is full, you can use a lot a block away at another hotel with the same owner. They let us keep our car at the hotel several hours past checkout which was awesome! The hotel was in a safe location and quiet at night, and the bed was firm but comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was fully remodeled with all new appliances & furniture including paint. Was nice to see the hotel in a clean new way for upcoming visitors. Elevator was not working at the time which was a slight inconvenience but the fact they provided free parking in such a busy city was a big plus. Would go back again.

This is a no-frills, budget motel that is clean, safe, and conveniently located to most major attractions in SF. Public transit is readily available but many attractions are also reachable on foot. There are no amenities other than free parking and fast free Internet, and a smart TV. Lombard is a main thoroughfare but the rooms face away from the street and it's relatively quiet at night. There are lots of good dining options around and shopping for the trendy Marine District is only a short walk away. Our interactions with the staff were minimal but pleasant and friendly. The room decor was not fancy but very functional. Laminate wood floors, bright walk-in shower and lots of overhead and desk lamps gave the room a European budget motel feel. rather than your typical US cheap chain motel. And there was more than 1 chair! There were two! and even a third place to sit, other than the bed. This may not meet everyones standards but we thought it was a really great value for SF and highly recommend it.

The room was very clean, it did smell a bit like pot when we first arrived, but I left the door open for about an hour and the smell went away. They didn't restock the soaps, which I'm sure was an oversight, and although it was just my spouse and I, we had to share a towel since there was only one and no washcloths (Thankfully we brought our own soaps). The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great. The shower water was nice and hot. The bathroom door is a sliding door and is kind of see thru, it didnt close all the way, it left an inch gap from the wall. The parking is limited, they dont have enough spaces for the amount of rooms they have. It's a first come first serve, they even emailed me stating to get there before 7pm to secure a spot. We got there right at 7pm and there were about 8 spots left. A cute breakfast cafe called Home Plate was a 0.6 mile walk down the street, it only took us 14min to get there, it was a nice walk.

The hotel had (limited) free parking which is what initially caught my eye when looking for a place in the area. The gentleman working the night of our reservation called prior to our arrival as we were a little late coming in, to make sure we could get a space, which we did. He was very friendly when we checked-in. Our room was on the second level so we appreciated the elevator, even though we were warned it was older and may be a little slow, as we had quite a bit of luggage. It was fine by the way. The room was nicely renovated and very clean. Even though the hotel is off of a busy street, I’d say traffic noise was very minimal. Overall, I would say this is a great choice for a stopover during our trip.

We checked in and I noticed the coffee table was dirty. Not a big deal but I grabbed a wet wipe from a friend and we left for the day. It wast until we noticed how all the surfaces suck as the sink counter, baseboard, most of the walls and doors were dusty and dirty. I reported this to the front desk and he reported there was nothing he could do and he did not know what time the managers come in the next day. Unfortunately, do to previous engagements I have not been able to follow up. But it’s not fair to have a dirty room with such visible dirt and hair in the showers and throughout the room. Very disappointing. Housekeeping came but they didn’t clean at all. So this means the front desk didn’t communicate to them the issues at all. I’ll never come back.

Free parking was a huge plus. The location was safe and walkable to many attractions. The room was decent it could’ve been cleaner. There was some hairs on the floor from prior guests and the sheets had a couple tiny stains but nothing alarming. The room is okay to stay for a few nights. Check-in and out is easy, there was maid service. Overall the property was good and I would stay here again.

We arrived close to 11pm, plenty of parking. Check in was easy and quick, the gentleman checking us in was polite and super friendly. There’s an elevator on property. Location is great and close to wonderful coffee shops (highly recommend the coffee berry). The room is as pictured, recently renovated. The beds were comfy and quiet, area felt safe. Our bathroom had A LOT of hair all over the shower and floor, thank god for flip flops… overall a great place to sleep and move on.

This Inn has been nicely renovated. However, my room was NOT cleaned at all. The cleaning personnel came to pick up the trash and brought more old towels only. On our last day, I requested the cleaning lady to come and clean my room because the shower was dirty and had old hair, she showed up and refused to clean it, stating that it was the end of her shift and couldn't come earlier- She only brought towels. No extra blankets were accessible in the room. The small cabinets are pretty, but not functional (for example in order to use the microwave, you have to manually hold the cabinet door open)

This is my third or fourth stay here and the plusses are free parking, pretty clean, walkable to corner stores and restaurants, and there is a Walgreen's down the street. I see that they fixed the leaking shower issue where water was leaking out of the door while showering so that is good. The property is pretty loud. You can easily hear people walking in the room above you or if they are on the walkways, especially if they are rolling luggage. The cleaning carts are especially loud so bring some ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones if you want to sleep in. The road noise can be loud to as Lombard is a busy thoroughfare to get to the GGB. For Room 207 specifically, the fan was noisy. There was also another noise that was happening frequently on the other side of the wall and it was a cross between a foghorn and a machine and lasted maybe 20-30 seconds. I don't know what it was but it was loud and intrusive. I wouldn't stay in this room again. Overall a decent stay for an overnight if you can overlook the noise.

Room appeared recently refurbished and was very modern. Very happy with what we got for what we paid too. Location was perfect for us, 20 mins walk to Fisherman’s wharf area if that’s your thing, or $12 or so in an uber from Macy’s area too. Would certainly use again.

A very convenient area for our visit to SF - easy access to many areas either by foot or transit. However, the walls are quite thin and we were consistently woken up every night by our neighbours and cars on the street. The rooms were renovated very nicely, and clean! Other than the noise, a lovely place to stay.

Property is in a good location walkable to many restaurants.Rooms were recently renovated and they look nice however the shower door was not installed properly and the water leaks really bad to the floor making it unsafe. Bathrooms need to be cleaned a lot better since when I checked in they were hairs,soap scum and floor looked dirty. Parking lot is very small and not guaranteed since its first come first serve. Outside of the property needs renovations too.

Rooms very nice / updated. Staff friendly, check-in was easy, etc. Good location. Issue isn’t the actual hotel or staff, building is shaped in “U” so it’s loud / sound through walls & outside. Lombard St is great but also very noisy.

Good: -Clean updated rooms -Staff was nice -Fridge and microwave Nitpicks: -Not enough places to hang towels (like none) -Could use a shower curtain or door to prevent whole bathroom from getting wet -Lights were a little bright -Don't personally love the sliding bathroom doors when staying with another person (less private feeling) But overall, would highly recommend!

Our family room was excellent; spacious clean and very modern. The service was prompt and very straight forward. The location was ideal and only a short drive to the pier and other north beach locations. Would highly recommend.

Overall the rooms are clean, smell decent, and there is free and easy parking. However be aware that the showers leak. I've stayed in two different rooms on separate occasions and both showers leaked which led to a lot of water on the bathroom floor. I think the sliding door is missing a seal or something, hopefully they address it. It does get a little noisy but it is expected due to the location. Also, Orbitz says there is no elevator. This is incorrect, there IS an elevator. I would stay here again for walking convenience to the Marina, Ghirardelli Square, and the waterfront. The free parking and no resort fees are also pluses.

The hotel is located next to high high-traffic street, and the car and motorcycle noise can affect your sleep past 5 am. I believe the rooms need more soundproofing so that the guests can sleep and are not disturbed by street noise.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful in providing nearby restaurants to eat at, a liquor store and a grocery store within walking distance. He expressed his concern of not leaving valuables in our vehicle anywhere in San Francisco. He offered a late check out at no charge, as we were visiting Alcatraz and wouldn't be back to our room before check out at 11am. Our room was very clean, the shower pressure was good, the decor was well done for an older motel. The bed was comfortable and the in-room heating/cooling system worked perfectly. The on-site parking lot was free. Thank you La Casa Inn for a wonderful stay!

La Casa was a good value, especially considering the great location within walking distance of Fort Mason, Marina Green, Polk Gulch, etc. Desk attendant held a parking space for me even though I arrived very late for the airport. Much appreciated.

Hotel was clean and recently updated. The parking is horrible, the staff was horrible the one guy treated me horrible, for taking to long to unpack our bags from the vehicle since we had to park 3 blocks away. There was some kind of altercation at about midnight and a lady was screaming and running around, eventually the cops showed up.

Parking is very limited and not guaranteed. Anything bigger than a large SUV will have additional issues. I knew this from reading other reviews so I wasn’t surprised that when I arrived at 10:30pm and did not have a spot. There was one in the back but our standard half ton was too tall. After checking in the front desk went above and beyond by shuffling some things around so we could park for the night. After driving 13 hours this was so appreciated and made our stay. He also helped us find food and recommended activities. The rooms are very nicely renovated. The location is great, big bus tours picks up just down the street and it’s only a 15 minute walk to the piers. Rooms were surprisingly quiet, but that definitely relies on the other occupants at the time.

Upsides - free parking and fairly central. Downsides - the road noise is horrendous and the windows and badly-fitted door to nothing to keep it out. The rooms have recently been done out but cheaply and ours was already starting to seem tired and worn. Worst of all - there were two families below us having a party on the balcony/walkway and it sounded as if their kids were playing a ball game in the bedroom or bedrooms below us. We reported this to reception but nothing was done. It went on well past midnight and we can’t have been the only guests to complain.

We booked this room for a one night stay on the way to a family wedding, mostly because of the 9 rating for the price, but we were so impressed with the condition and staff that we stayed there again our last 2 nights on our return to San Francisco. Can be a little hard to spot the first time arriving but on a main road so easy to get to where you want to go. Gentleman at front desk was amazing- helped us with so many questions and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very convenient to most of the downtown attractions but walking only if in good shape- many S.F. streets are VERY steep. The rooms were spacious and very clean and well maintained. Of the 2 rooms we stayed in I could not find one negative thing to say. There is some street and traffic noise (it is in downtown) but did not disturb our relaxation or sleep. Would stay there again if our travels take us back to S.F.

Would never recommend to spend your money here. Horrible customer service, not staffed 24 hours a day, very expensive and could easily stay at a nice hotel with services and good customer service for the price they charge. Zero sound proofing between rooms. Cheaply renovated.

From the time we arrived until we checked the staff was amazing. So accommodating! The gentleman that checked us in made transportation recommendations and activity recommendations that were excellent. Room was nicely decorated clean and comfortable.

This place is a such a gem! Stayed for 2 nights. Benny at the front desk was so nice, he let me check in a little early when I got in on Friday because my room was clean and ready. Place was clean, cute, spacious and an awesome location. Marina restaurants and shops within walking distance. There’s a liquor store across the street for small stuff you might need (water, drinks, etc) really enjoyed my stay and would love to book again next time I’m in SF! Great customer service I felt well taken care of.

Room appeared recently refurbished and was very modern. Very happy with what we got for what we paid too. Location was perfect for us, 20 mins walk to Fisherman’s wharf area if that’s your thing, or $12 or so in an uber from Macy’s area too. Would certainly use again.

Waking distance to fisherman’s wharf around 30 mins and 15 min walk to crooked street. Rooms were renovated, roomy and clean. Great coffee down the street, Coffee Berry, and Indonesian coffee across the street, can’t go wrong. Would come back!

Location is great. Close to all things you would like to see. If you go up the stairs and towards rooftop, great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We will stay here again on our next visit.

I had a great stay here! The location is superb- we had a rental, but opted to stay in the Marina District and walked everywhere! There are so many bodegas nearby, breakfast at Pats Cafe and dinner at Bobob’s, both were delish! We walked to Pier 33 for an Alcatraz tour. The hotel was nicely decorated, and the room was spacious (we got the king/queen couch bed combo) The bed is comfy and the water pressure was nice. Cons: The elevator was broken, but the added exercise climbing the stairs was okay. The cleaning product they use is very strong and the scent was overpowering—I could taste it 😅 I got some incense from a nearby bodega and opened the window, it helped tremendously! I can’t wait to return, I’d for sure stay here again!

I was however surprised there was no in room coffee maker. That would have been really nice to have and expected by most guests. It did have a small frig and microwave. About 5 blocks up the street there were several restaurants but didn’t find a Starbucks or coffee house for grab and go.

La Casa Inn is a clean space to rest. It was a little noisy with people above, but a lot of hotels are. Staff was very friendly. The only issue was checking in took a while for someone to assist and checkout, no one was at the front desk. Other than that, very clean and close to just about everything.

The hotel is a short walk to Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman's Wharf. The room was very clean. Check-in and check-out were easy. We wish there was a coffee maker in the room. The are in the process of renovating the outside, so the windows were covered and paint supplies were cluttering the walkway. Other than that, it was a nice, reasonably priced place to stay.

This is a no-frills, budget motel that is clean, safe, and conveniently located to most major attractions in SF. Public transit is readily available but many attractions are also reachable on foot. There are no amenities other than free parking and fast free Internet, and a smart TV. Lombard is a main thoroughfare but the rooms face away from the street and it's relatively quiet at night. There are lots of good dining options around and shopping for the trendy Marine District is only a short walk away. Our interactions with the staff were minimal but pleasant and friendly. The room decor was not fancy but very functional. Laminate wood floors, bright walk-in shower and lots of overhead and desk lamps gave the room a European budget motel feel. rather than your typical US cheap chain motel. And there was more than 1 chair! There were two! and even a third place to sit, other than the bed. This may not meet everyones standards but we thought it was a really great value for SF and highly recommend it.

Recently renovated rooms in Scandinavian style. Well equipped and spacious. Parkering was free and on site (hard to find in San Fran). The Staff were very friendly and the cleaning was very good. Breakfeast is not an option.

Check in was at 3pm they didn’t have our room ready until almost 5pm. First excuse was because we rented the family room then it was because he was short staffed. This all caused us to be late to an event we paid over $600 to attend in San Francisco. Totally wrecked the whole trip! We don’t understand how it has that high of a rating.

Good location. Nice coffee shop, pizza, and sandwich shop within walking distance. Parking is first come first serve, so if you leave in your car you may not have spot when you get back. Front desk did let us know.
