We stayed here for a long weekend. Upon checking in the staff was very friendly. Our room was a good size. Great location of being in Chinatown and having many food options around the area. The only thing that was missing was having a microwave in the room.

Loved staying here! Very clean, great neighborhood, great staff. Our only complaint was that there was no coffee maker in the room. It was available in the lobby but nice to not have to get up and dressed to get a cup. Otherwise perfect stay!

I booked it for a Friday night because we like Chinatown and dim sum. Boutique hotel, clean, comfortable room. Had no issues. Best water pressure in a shower I've ever experienced. Great location for Chinatown and Little Italy or if you're in town for state or federal court (a block away). No restaurant or "services" but for a place to stay it's pretty good.

This is a terrific hotel near Little Italy and Chinatown. East access to transit. It has no restaurant or bar but there are plenty of each nearby. Staff is great. Location!

The hotel was right across from a park, nicely kept and only about 1/4 mi from the subway. We loved the free coffee in the morning and were even upgraded to a “family room” for free. The park was perfect for our kids to play at the start and end to each day and it was actually clean! The only weird thing was that there was no microwave in the room.

Sitting on the very edge of China Town, at first glance, the block looks a little sketchy. However, the hotel was clean and modern. The front desk personnel were friendly and attentive. There is no parking designated for the hotel itself. You can take your chances that a street spot will be open or there is a 24 garage about a half block away. We chose the latter and parked overnight for only $60.

The hotel location is great. within 5 minute walk to China town and Little Italy. we booked family room which had 2 rooms with queen size beds in each. There was a full size fridge which is great but there is no microwave or any utensils to use the kitchenette. The change filter sign was coming up middle of the night which had very bright lights which woke my husband up each night who is a light sleeper.

So much better than a standard hotel room. Beds were comfy too. This is not a fancy place but it will absolutely be our go-to for trips to New York in the future.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past, shortly after it opened. It has gone significantly downhill. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, old grout and fixtures, no real amenities to speak of. The towels must be from when they first opened. There is a mini fridge in the room, but little else. You will need to sign multiple papers to ensure you do not smoke, a late checkout, among other things. The staff was very concerned that we might not return a borrowed corkscrew. That seemed a bit much…we obviously returned it. In closing, pick another property.

Great location and very polite and accommodating staff. We had a nice view out our windows and were in the heart of Chinatown and only a block from Little Italy. Some areas that could be improved - leave directions on how to use the remote for the TV - was very confusing. Also clean the air duct vent louvers in the bathroom - they were very dirty (room 1103). Overall - very happy with the hotel and would come back again.

Everything was fine - the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff nice on check-in and check-out. I love the Chinatown location, close to a lot of great things to do, and this particular block is really quiet, across from a park (except for a few police sirens in the morning). I do think the management could do a little more to put the hotel's best foot forward - the front of the hotel shouldn't be so dark when you walk up to it; the lobby could use some decorating; the doors on the rooms need repainting, as did the doors on the closet inside the room. But in most of the ways that matter, it was a nice stay.

The Hotel Mulberry was comfortable, although a little worn, and the staff were very helpful. It was fun to be located in Chinatown, and the location across from the park was nice. The room was fairly clean, but for $350/night, I'd expect they'd at least make sure the Dorito pieces were cleaned off the nightstand! There was a problem with air conditioning our second night, and the room was freezing because we couldn't shut off the AC. But the woman at the front desk immediately brought up a space heater for us.

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. King Deluxe room had a beautiful view. I arrived for check in around 9:30-10PM at night and saw that the parking garage next door had their entrance door closed so I asked the receptionist where I should park if it’s closed. He didn’t know of anywhere so I drove around for a bit and came back to the garage. Turns out they just close the one door at night. You’d think the hotel staff would know that but not too big of a deal. However when we reached our room we found it to be freezing. We turned the thermostat up and went out for a late dinner. When we came back it was COLDER than when we left. I called the desk to see if they could turn up the heat, they gave me the security password to access the heat on the thermostat. We woke up in the middle of the night to find the room temperature at almost 50 degrees!!! Absolutely freezing inside and no way to adjust the temperature.

Had a great stay at the hotel. Convenient location, quiet and comfortable. Rooms and decor a little dated but not really an issue as was out most of the day and was just a base for sleeping. Staff were super helpful and polite and were able to store my bags on the last day after check out. Would stay again.

Enjoyed large, comfortable room with terrace. Beautiful views in all directions. Friendly, helpful staff. Nearby Chinatown and Little Italy location provided lots of dining options! A stop at Leons Bagels is a must!

Everything was very good, however, the air conditioning was set so that the room was at 59 degrees. Very cold with no possibility to make changes. Eventually, someone came and turned it off.

We were placed in a very small room the first night because the heat was out in our room we paid for. The whole reason why I booked here was because of the SIZE OF THE ROOMS since there were 4 of us. We did not get any rate change or refund because of that. The larger room we moved into was much more satisfactory for the 4 of us.The staff was very pleasant, the hotel is old and the corridors need maintenance. And the ice situation was very weird with bags versus a machine. The walls were thin and we could hear our next door neighbors the whole time but it wasn't too disturbing. The park across the street was great and a source of entertainment. The location was also great! Right in Chinatown and so close to Little Italy and SOHO. Overall, happy with the stay here and would come back again for the value and size of the room.

The check in service was bothersome because my daughter got to the airport 3 hours before us. I called the hotel to see if she could just go ahead and check in, they refused. She had to wait 3 hours at the airport for us to land. I was not happy about that. There was no reason for that. This has happened several times at nice hotels and this was allowed. Once we got there, the check in was fine. The rooms were pretty good, the tubs were deep and the water was the hottest water I had had at any hotel in NYC and we have stayed at a lot! Most people don't take a bath but I do and this hot water was amazing after a long day of walking around NYC. This hotel is a little off the beaten path. It has a nice little park across the street. There are no frills here but for what you will need it's good enough. It's on the edge of Chinatown, and next door to a funeral home. Some might find this bothersome, but I did not. The picture of this hotel on their site is a little different than what is really there. Great stay. The staff was really helpful. We had mistakenly thought that we were leaving from a different airport and they made all efforts possible so that we could arrive on time for our flight. Plus, the hotel is very nice and in an amazing location in Chinatown. I would definitely stay here again!!

The room was basic. The staff charged me an extra hundred dollars for a room deposit when they were already paid in full they were rude about it. Will not stay again. Not worth 235$. No vending machine as described. Ice was in bag in the cooler. More of a motel than a hotel.
The room was basic. The staff charged me an extra hundred dollars for a room deposit when they were already paid in full they were rude about it. Will not stay again. Not worth 235$. No vending machine as described. Ice was in bag in the cooler. More of a motel than a hotel.

I wanted to select a well-located, comfortable hotel room in a quiet area and happened upon Hotel Mulberry in Chinatown. From our first encounter with Vanna, behind the front desk, our experience was wonderful. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, and having a balcony overlooking the park across the street was heavenly. The hotel is within easy walking distance of anything you'd want to see in the Lower East Side, and an easy Uber to Midtown. The neighborhood is FULL of wonderful restaurants, so you can't go wrong. I highly recommend Hotel Mulberry and plan to return.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel stored our luggage before and after our stay so we could walk around the city without it. The room was a great size for NYC and very clean. Great view of the park. Terrific dining very close to the hotel being in the middle of Chinatown and Little Italy. Will stay there again!

Outstanding service from front desk staff who went out of their way for me. The property is very clean, comfortable, and safe. Additionally, it’s in the perfect part of the city to truly have the best shopping, food, and events all within walking distance. I will definitely plan to stay here again the next time I visit NYC! I sincerely don’t understand how this hotel has such a high rating. It is only convenient if you like to be in Chinatown or need to be close to the federal courthouse --that's it. Front desk personal was very terse. The hotel has no amenities or frills at all. Room was noisy at night.

The room was very nice, spacious and very clean. Bathroom was good size. Did not have any issues but it is a bit far from Subway so if you have car you’ll have no problems but public transport was an issue for me. Laundromat was just a few steps away so that was a blessing as well.

It’s a little far off the beaten path in terms of transit. Arriving with our suitcases in 100 degree weather made for an extremely hot annd exhausting trek to the hotel. When we came back from a date night kinda late, there were sketchy people hanging around the station. The walk back to the hotel from Canal St. was a bit scary in the dark. Mulberry street is not very well lit at all. Be aware of that. Everything else, like property and staff is beautiful (one of my fav facilities in NYC tbh) just maybe do all your activities in the daytime and order in for the night.

This was a great hotel, very near Chinatown, Little Italy, and Lower Manhattan, with lots of subway lines 5-10 minutes walking distance. Some people say the rooms are small--it's New York City!! All the hotel rooms are small unless you shell out for a suite at a chain hotel in Midtown! It was pretty cold when I was there, and I was grateful for the warm and cosy room with a very comfortable bed. And it was great to be in Chinatown on Christmas Day, when lots of places elsewhere in the city are closed. Highly recommend this place, especially for all the delicious food very close by.

The Hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. It's right in Chinatown so it can be overwhelming for some. Would stay here again without hesitation. The coffee in the lobby is very good and they served fresh 1/2 & 1/2. Score!

Loved staying here! Very clean, great neighborhood, great staff. Our only complaint was that there was no coffee maker in the room. It was available in the lobby but nice to not have to get up and dressed to get a cup. Otherwise perfect stay!

I booked it for a Friday night because we like Chinatown and dim sum. Boutique hotel, clean, comfortable room. Had no issues. Best water pressure in a shower I've ever experienced. Great location for Chinatown and Little Italy or if you're in town for state or federal court (a block away). No restaurant or "services" but for a place to stay it's pretty good.
