Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Gainesville

The stay was amazing I had a business trip I had to attend to .. the hotel was nice and clean beds was comfortable.pillows was awesome.. the only down fall to this is they hold swim lessons on Sunday and that's when u want to swim before leaving and heading back home.. but will stay there again.. just need to trade days for swimming lessons

The room/bathroom were both clean and nice. The gym was awesome and the breakfast and dinning area were great!

Location of the property was the primary factor for us, being conveniently located to Lake Lanier and the Gainesville area. The hotel met our needs for a one night stay, but additional conveniences, amenities and services would be nice for longer stays. The hot breakfast was appreciated but selections were somewhat limited.

The pool is closed for private swimming three days a week They do not offer housekeeping services on multiple days because according to the front desk, "we're very short staffed" The building is so loud you can hear everyone and their TV next-door people walking above us all night. This should be more like a super cheap budget hotel.

Breakfast was good. People were helpful and friendly. Exercise room was decent and helpful. Room was a little tight. The folding bed only had room for one person, so we had to use the cushions from the couch as a mattress for the other person. Was not happy about the toilet in our room getting clogged and not fixed until the next day. We were offered another room, but it was after 9pm, and we did not want to gather our stuff up at that point.

Not much to say after discovering mold on the shower curtain liner.

We had a good experience and enjoyed our stay. The shampoo and condition ran out and no one came to service our room. The family enjoyed the breakfasts.

Great free breakfast, late check out and convenient are benefits. The only thing could be a negative is that the floor we were on smelled very musty; however, room did not.

Tv wasn’t working when we wanted to watch.

Loud noise from the Ballroom underneath kept us awake.

The room was perfect. No Complaints. And thanks to the guy that got me a wheel chair — I went to ER bc I had gotten food poisoning on Friday night. (At a pizza place in Gainesville!). The staff was very helpful at the hotel. We will stay there next time we visit our friends.

A great stay and the staff were outstanding.

When going down to get breakfast, we walked in to eating area and the kids went toward the food. They grabbed a bowl to begin pouring cereal when the girl in front of them finished. The worker running the breakfast area walked up to the girl that had already been there for a minute, yelled excuse me and snatched the lid to the cereal container from her hand. She then nudged the little girl with her shoulder and said “give me ya damn bowl” I, along with everyone else, stood in disbelief as this woman proceeded to stomp back and forth slamming stuff, walking up behind people yelling out excuse me, making rude comments behind people saying “ if you’d get out of the way I could put some more out” I went to the front desk finally after about 10 minutes of watching this and the lady at the front was super amazing however she wasn’t in a position to really handle to issue and assured me that she would pass it along to management. The lady at the front desk was was a true angel and a reminder that good people do exist because when I left my wallet in the room after check out and called panicking, She told me she would go check and she had to have run up to get it and had it secured and labeled and waiting safely for me to return and grab it!! She is the only reason I am giving the 3 stars. Had it not been for her i would have given no stars. Whoever you are that works the kitchen, you should be ashamed of yourself and management should be ashamed to know of your behavior today!!

No cleanup of our room or service for the three days we were there. They told us at the front desk that we had requested that our room not be serviced by the maids when we made a complaint, but we never ask that our room would not be serviced even after the complaint no one came

Check in was horrible. Me and another gentleman arrived around 10pm and waited for over 20 minutes because whoever was on staff had some personal issue and just left the front desk unmanned. If not for Cheyenne, from a neighboring property and who is FANTASTIC, I’m not sure what would have happened other than me calling Expedia for a refund and leaving. Cheyenne needs a raise for handling the situation as well as she did. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic.

We chose to stay here as we were visiting family in Dahlonega. The room was very clean. The temperature was a little warm but the a/c unit worked well and the perfect balance was achieved. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was fresh with a good variety.

The room was nice and clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff were very nice and friendly. I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street and I would return to the Fairfield in the future.

The check in was smooth and friendly. Being recently updated, everything was clean and smelled fresh. The room was well laid out and comfortable for our family of 5, even with the sleeper sofa opened into a bed. The only negative was the woman serving breakfast the Saturday morning of our stay (9/2/23). My husband took our girls down at 8:30, and many items were out or low. When he asked about it, the woman said she had put out bacon but it got eaten too fast and she wasn't going to put any more out. When my son and I went to eat shortly after 9, there was very little bread for toast or bagels, milk, eggs, etc. She did bring some additional items while we were there, but considering breakfast is until 10 on the weekend, we were disappointed by how little was available. I don't mean to dwell on that 1 negative. Other than that, our stay was very nice. Every other member of the hotel staff we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The property is very nice. We felt safe. Everything looked and felt clean. Plenty of restaurants close by. We would definitely stay again.
