Flushing Hotel

OK. Toilet did not flush properly & parts of the room looked a bit tatty / worn out. Beware, if you are arriving by car there is unlikely to be space to park out the front & the hotel parking lot is extremely small and you are likely to get boxed in.

The pros were that it was placed close to the 7 train and the flushing Lirr station They have limited free parking which is rare for the area and that it is priced great for the location But the cons were many Hotel was uncleanly room that was labeled as non smoking reeked of smoke the room had old outlets that did not in hold plugs ceiling had water damage and was peeling carpet was not cleaned and we found dirt and old food under the bed the bathroom had mold on the ceiling and on the shower curtains the toilet did not flush properly They offered cereal out of a giant bowl al carte And there were presumably live wires dangling from the ceiling We booked knowing that this wasn't going to be the best location but it was worst than my expectations They do allow early check in before 2pm but you pay $20 per hour you arrive early Ps if you want parking, go early and call the front desk the entrance is on the Prince Street next to another hotel

They have free parking if you drive there, thought lots limited. Pretty clean room and linens, awesome location to walk around and transport if you need.

Elevator didn’t work on the weekend and the drain on the shower wasn’t working. But, overall it was a nice experience.

Overall very substandard hotel with almost no designated parking and very sparse and dirty rooms. The guy at the front desk was nice enough.

I was bitten by bed bugs so terribly during my stay , and I had to switch my room to lower floor ! Hotel owners please give me a reply!

Room looked like it hasn’t been remodeled in decades. There was mold in the shower and fruit flies in the bathroom. Single pane windows and you can hear every plane coming and going from the airport, which is 10 mins away. Aside from that, great location and the staff was helpful and friendly

The staff was very kind but the room was a little bit run down and wooe up with some sort of bug bites on my face.

Extremely old and dirty. Hair around the toilet. Cigarette smell everywhere. Burns in the carpet and sheets. Good location is the only thing going for it.

Room was dusty, windows very drafty, furniture and bedding was very dated, and poorly maintained condition. Room was in need of fresh paint as well. The bathroom plumbing fixtures did not work properly and leaked. Top of the toilet tank was broken and did not fit properly on tank.

BED BUGS. THEY REFUSED A REFUND. We did even stay at the hotel, there were bedbugs. They offered me another room but bedbugs spread so I definitely did not want to stay. The room was gross to begin with, stains all over the sheets and hair covering the bed. I was going to sleep on top of the bed since it was one night only until I saw bed bugs crawling around and it was a big nope and I grabbed my things and ran out. The lady at the front desk refused a refund. I understand it’s not in their policy, but it’s one thing for me to cancel for no reason, it’s another reason for me to cancel due to bedbugs. I ran out before I could take pictures because I was so grossed out.

The Flushing Main Street is right under the air path, which devalues the properties of this neighborhood. But the very nice and affordable foods around will compensate

Too far from Manhattan. Limited facilities, e.g. no cupbpoard. Too much noise, including from air conditioning. Otherwise fine.

The room that I stayed in had no wardrobe and no room refrigerator for drinking water. Also, there was no room service attendant.

I like the price. The area is close to the plane.I didn’t like that there wasn’t enough pillows There was no ice or fridge. The noise came from the outside but when the upstairs got filled, There was a lot of noise and I woke up.

We can hear sounds from other rooms. Room was ok

Manager and associate were not helpful at all. Would not recomend staying here.

Nothing to like about this property.I surprised how Expedia sale this to customer. Front desk people are not friendly at all. They just assigned the room before check that Toilet and wash room is not useable. When we reported they are not changing the room or fix it properly Very rude

Let me keep luggage before check in. Early check in is $40 more. Clean and good location near subway

The hotel is old but this is what you get in nyc for this price range. It was clean and the front desk was helpful they let us leave our bags in lobby area for 6 hours after we checked out

The stay was good. The check in process was great.

Ccccold reception and disorganized long ancient check in process. They photo copy IDs and English is not strong. Pack your patience.

Check in was simple & easy.

Whatever you do, do NOT book this hotel. It’s so shady. They canceled my reservation the day of check in for no apparent reason. I tried to check in around noon, and they told me my room was not ready. I came back after a day in the city to check in around 11pm and they informed me that because I did not prepay for my room, they gave it to someone else who walked in from the street needing a place to stay because “they paid.” Orbitz clearly states that you can either pay at booking or pay on site when you check in. The girl at the front desk kept stating “You didn’t pay” although I arrived ready to pay and well before midnight which is the cutoff for check in. It was awful to feel like I had nowhere to stay and no place to go my last night in New York. I was on the phone with Orbitz for over an hour and the best they could do was send me to another hotel nearby that also gave me an extremely hard time checking in and required another customer service call to get sorted. And I had prepaid for that room and had the cash deposit required in hand. It made no sense. I don’t know what is with the hotels in Flushing, but I’ll never stay there again. They don’t cooperate with Orbitz’s policies. They just do what they want to turn a dollar. Reservations mean nothing and even if you prepay, they seem to not care if they actually give you a room or not. It’s well worth your money to pay a higher rate for more legitimate hotels closer to the city.

Staff was not friendly and was very disrespectful. I never got back the 100 dollar deposite. I’m very upset and unsatisfied with this place.

Central to transportation

After reading several reviews and after already booking my 1 week stay I was nervous to stay here. However when I arrived to my room I was pleasantly surprised that it was alot better than what I expected. Bed sheets were of a really good quality, pillows very comfortable, never an issue with hot water in the shower, toilets ran perfectly all week. They even offer a light breakfast each morning. The area is extremely convenient if you need the subway (4 min walk) or the bus stop which is right outside the hotel. The neighbourhood itself is extremely safe and you can walk safely at anytime of day or night. It is in the heart of chinatown. I stayed for a week with my husband and 4 year old child, it is not going to be like a Hilton property but we stayed for 6 nights without any issues at all. Our room was also cleaned every single day

Best location for commuting to Manhattan or any place by Metro.

Moderate pricing and convenience. Very noisy from flights.

Transportation is convenient, the metro (#7) is a few minutes away. Hotel is centrally located on Main St, so restaurants are within walking distance in Flushing. Hotel room had a musty smell, bed spread needs to be cleaned more often as ours felt not clean, and no hand towel. A few miles away from LaGuardia Airport, it’s convenient to get to LGA via Uber or metro bus! So it’s a no frills basic option, but for conveniences (and price), I would use again!

I like that there was a LOT of transportation, stores and restaurants. Very convenient location, in my case I was going to a concert at Cityfield so it was easy to get there and to the airport as well. The hotel is a place where you go only to take a shower and sleep. The bed sheets were clean but stain, kinda disappointing. The room was ok, nice air conditioning and TV. The shower curtains were cleaned but stain in some places it make you kinda of rethinking to take a shower. First night I wanted a hot nice shower after a long flight and all the sudden the fire alarm start beeping because the water was to hot. No one came to the room to ask me if I was ok, so if I was in trouble I think no one would come, no even a call. I think that if they put nice sheets and clean curtains including the stick that holds the curtain because mine was rusted, it can be a nice place just to put your stuff and go. I like that it was quite and there were only 3 rooms per floor. Not excellent but for what I wanted out of vacation was ok.

OMG Hotel or Motel? The Shower Curtain dirty. The Lamp looks like the 70’s. The bed to noisy. The electricity horrible. The breakfast no egg no orange juice. The entrance to darkness.

Horrible disgusting hotel. Stickers all over the room. Toilet didn’t flush. My room door didn’t even close all the way. Breakfast they serve is bread and cereal. Uncomfortable bed without clean sheets of pillows.

Just a crappy run down hotel with a terrible breakfast. No ice maker dirty everything
