Stayed 5 nights

Tucked away behind Moo 4, The Khao Lak Palm Hill Resort is a hidden gem. Don’t expect beachfront chain hotel luxury but do expect rustic charm and a warm, friendly welcome. Far enough away from the main road to be peaceful and tranquil but close enough to access everything that the area has to offer by way of shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. The hotel has 49 large rooms, all surrounding a lovely pool and with the forest as a backdrop. There wasn’t one day that we didn’t get a sunbed and we didn’t have to set our alarms to get our towels on early. The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient for our needs but, the main asset of this lovely resort are the wonderful staff. Everybody is helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much problem. The owner and her family live on site and couldn’t have been more helpful with any queries or issues (we had no issue but did have a couple of queries which were dealt with instantly). Nang Thing Beach is a 10-15 minute walk and these is a 7/11 3 minutes walk away. Bang Niang Night Market and The Tsunami Memorial are a 200THB taxi ride and there are enough bars and restaurants in the locale to occupy every taste. We will definitely be booking here the next time we visit Khao Lak (which will hopefully be soon)

Stayed 7 nights
