Room was clean and spacious. The bathroom tiles needed some love and there was some paint touch up needed. The gym had some decent equipment, but there was a musty smell and sorry I notice stuff like this, but it appeared that the wall behind weight rack had been painted, but not the area directly behind the rack, so the paint didn't match. Nothing major just minor stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful. The gentleman behind the bar was awesome and did a great job of serving the drinks and food in the evening. The food was very good as well, I ate there twice during my stay.

Hotel was very nice. But a little worn. Was excited to go to the pool but it needed cleaning. Walls and bottom was covered with algae. Was sorry to see some kids swimming and playing in it. Needed a good swimming pool company to do a thorough cleaning. Needed chlorine and brushing. The lobby was nice with a bar and restaurant. Restaurant smelled good but didn’t see anyone eating but there were people eating at the bar. We reserved thru Hotels.com and not sure if we get the same level of rooms. Our room was nice. King bed with a couch and a desk with fridge and coffee maker. It was a nice room but the lamp shade was broken with some cracks. Didn’t look very professional. The headboard was covered in Naugahyde. It looked like someone had cut it with a knife and then scratched off the finish. I noticed that when I put my hands behind my head while watching tv that my fingernails scratched the finish and had residue under my nails so I guess that was why it looked so bad. They should either replace the lamp shade and repair the headboard or don’t rent the room. We were there for the John Fogery concert and the hotel wasn’t busy at all. We should have got a nicer room but I always feel like using hotels.com we always get a room at the end of the hall and one that is t quite as good as the others. It is right across the street from Tanger Outlets and there are tons of restaurants within a mile or so. Right down from the Top Golf facility.

Loud parties in the lobby on two of the nights we stayed there until 2am. Zero sleep. Elevator not working. Understaffed. Unclean.

The elevators need to be serviced as they dont provide for a secure experience

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The beds were ok. They are still waiting for new headboards for the beds and it has been two years and still haven’t been replaced and noticeably are all scratched. However the pillows were super comfortable. One of the elevators was bouncing when you went up. The rooms are nice and cool, but the rest of the hotel is super hot. We really went for the outside pool! That was a huge disappointment. It looks like it had not been cleaned all year. Water was greenish color, the bottom of the pool was yellow and disgusting. We only went in for 5 minutes and got right back out when we saw poop in the middle of the pool. We will not be back.

Pictures on Expedia need to be updated. Not awful…clean, nice looking interior… front desk area…………. ( service great)…. But no fire pit couch area… ( that doesn’t exist) and the pool is closed”…. So annoying.

Rooms were very spacious and staff was nice. One elevator wasn't working so plan some wait time for that.

Lovely property close to the airport with reliable airport shuttle service. We picked this property because of their very early shuttle service and were very pleased with how nice the hotel was. Definitely surpassed our expectations and we highly recommend this hotel!

Two family events that dominated the common area well into the early morning hours. Very loud and active, with people in halls all night. One of two elevators out of service our entire two day stay. Bathroom was dangerous. Stick tub and floors. Cost not in line with services.

I primarily stayed in North Charleston for a concert at the Coliseum (after staying in downtown Charleston for a few days). Well, the staff, including shuttle drivers were very nice and helpful. The room though... fairly icky. Not necessarily unclean, but the rust and water stains on the ceiling and bathroom made everything seem gross, and the musty smell was pretty bad. The cushioned headboard on the bed looked like it was ravaged by wild animals. The bed itself was fine though. And the A/C worked great. I only stayed one night so didn't complain, figuring most of the rooms were like this, and they were all booked anyway. Oh, and booked for the pool, too, but it was very uninviting, and scorching hot that day. The breakfast service was a total mess so I left before even getting a table and walked to a restaurant. I wouldn't book a room at that hotel again.

I didn’t like the fact that the rooms were so outdated. When we 1st walked in the room we instantly noticed dust all over the counter and mini fridge…also smears everywhere like housekeeping didn’t clean…went into the bathroom it was a huge rust stain on the outside of the tub…the people were extremely nice but the room unfortunately not so much…cleanliness is huge for me and my family

Just not totally clean- finger prints on various fixtures and items left in the sink.

The pool was filled with bugs making it enjoyable my husband was stung by a bug in the water. As well as staff tried to enter my room with the do not disturb sign out while I was in there.

The staff at the front desk and bar were excellent. Very kind and polite. The rooms unfortunately were very poor quality. Upon entry into both our rooms there was trash. There was a sticker from a swimsuit or underwear liner on the floor. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom had tissues stuffed in them. And the shower head in another room was broken. The towels had a smell to them so we bought our own new towels.

Family was staying one night here. At first look, the room appeared to be clean. A late night bathroom break resulted in being fully awakened by a large cockroach quickly crawling on the bathroom floor and walls. After killing, I turned on all the lights only to find something else crawling near the ceiling. We called the front desk and an employee brings us a bottle of what he described as a peroxide mixture. We were unable to comfortably sleep and we had a long drive in the morning. Also, it sounded like there was a large gathering in the center of the hotel. Very loud laughter and talking until 2am. I am very disappointed in this Crown Plaza Hotel.

Underwear found under the bed. Plastic shard on the rug/ clearly not vacuumed. First room they gave me had a flood in the bathroom by toilet. Hotel needs updating and refreshing!

This is an old property that definitely needs an update. The furniture in the lobby was old and worn out and the bathroom in our room was disgusting.

Although our room was clean. The public areas needed attention. Our a bathroom was horrible. The shower curtain was missing 4 rings, there was mold and rust on the walls and any chrome fixture. The exhaust fan did not work. The door to the bathroom was broken and hot water only trickled out of the sink.

The was very clean and spotless [only complaint was the long time frame for bath sink to obtain hot water. Overall the staff was very courteous and professional.

This property offer free Wi-Fi or our Wi-Fi is not working and no one seems to care. Also we had to move from one room that was extremely cold to another room that has no Wi-Fi.

Great location. Cool lobby with fancy bar. Love the fresh fruit-water in coolers as you walk in. Rooms need updating. TVs manufactured in 2010. Furnishings are all 10 years or older.

The location of this hotel is central to what we wanted to do while visiting Charleston. Easy and free parking and the staff was friendly. Other than that, the hotel is subpar and needs a complete overhaul. One of the elevators was not working. The toilet in our room leaked. The mattress was uncomfortable. The headboard upholstery was scratched up. There was mold in the shower. The door handle on the shower door was broken. We would not stay here again I am sorry to say.

This was a very clean and nice hotel. The bar stayed open till I believe midnight and was pretty noisy and can be heard from the roots. Our second night stay the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and woke us from a dead sleep, we struggled to fall back asleep and the front desk offer to no explanation, just that it was a false alarm.

The rooms were clean. They need better lighting. My wife couldn't use the desk for getting ready. The shower head needs help. Low water pressure and you couldn't make the head stay adjusted. It just drooped. The ice maker was inop on our floor. Only one elevator was working. I think there was some renovations happening. All around it was a good stay.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Lots of dining & shopping options nearby. All rooms front an open courtyard that overlooks the bar area on the main floor, which means that it was extremely noisy every night until midnight. Bring earplugs if you are staying here!!

My only true problem was the wifi I could not stay hooked up for some reason. Lucky the 5g in the area was good enough for me to get things done. Everything else was done just fine

The lower floors are exposed to noise from the lobby and bar area of the facility.

Comfortable beds, bathrooms could have been cleaner. Breakfast was an experience. Was advertised as breakfast cook to order but the waitress tried to argue with me and told me they don't do that when they are busy. She wanted me to eat the breakfast bar. The lady sitting next to me had to go through the same thing until finally the waitress agreed to take our order. They had a menu at the entrance for cook to order options but the waitress was trying everything not to allow us to order. That was the first day around 9am. The second day at 10:15 she went into the kitchen after we ordered and loudly started to complain about how late we showed up and placed an order. Breakfast is served from 6 to 11 am. This was the same waitress both days. I would advise not paying the extra $16 for breakfast it's definitely not as advertised. The good was the location we quick and easy access to interstate and you can walk to Tanger outlet and walmart both are within the same business park. The ladies at the front desk.

Mixed Experience with Service and Amenities My recent stay at this hotel left much to be desired, though there were some positives. At the restaurant, I waited 40 minutes to be seated despite being the only person there. I was told I hadn’t been seen, even though it was the same staff member who eventually sat me down. While I received a small discount for the meal, the overall experience was frustrating. After dining, I had to wait for my bill, which was mistakenly brought to me twice. Additionally, when a glass of water and ice fell to the floor, it took 15 minutes to clean it up, which felt unnecessarily delayed. Throughout my visit, I noticed wait staff using their phones and front desk workers eating in front of customers—both unprofessional and distracting. On a positive note, Brandon and Minnett provided exceptional service, going out of their way to ensure a better experience. The shuttle driver also deserves recognition for quickly stepping in to take me to the airport after an issue with my appointment not being documented. The room was clean and comfortable, but the layout lacked convenience due to the absence of a full-size mirror, which would have been helpful. Overall, while the hotel had some bright spots, the lack of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail in the restaurant detracted significantly from my stay.

Every time I stay here the staff goes above and beyond to accomodate me. I will definitely be back!

Check in was very easy and attendant was super sweet. Very clean and comfortable. Check out attendant was not very friendly but I did interrupt her breakfast so I guess maybe that’s why. Only 1 elevator was working.

Tanger is literally across the street.

This location is amazing! Everything you need is literally within walking distance. The staff is great the rooms were really nice. Definitely would stay here again!!

Only the main enterance doir worked, unable to use side doors, where you had to park. Paid for the "made to order breakfast ". Was a Holiday in type buffet! Don't buy the breakfast!! Old mattress and garage around the building and parking area! Very disappointing

Very nice hotel located in a great area and about 24 mins to downtown Charleston. The lobby/ bar area was very beautiful and the staff was super helpful. My only complaint was that the phone didn’t work in the room and I had to use my cellphone to call the front desk. Still 10/10, will stay here again.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Crowne Plaza Charleston Airport. The hotel has a very nice exterior, interior of hotel is nice, and it is directly across the street from the Tanger Outlet Mall. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful at both the restaurant and front desk. However, the only complaints I have is that the restaurant needs more staff in the kitchen, and the menu offerings need improvement and a wider selection. One night when I walked into the restaurant, I was told that that it could take a while before receiving my food because there was only one person working in the kitchen. I left and went up the street to Bonefish Grill. Also, the lighting needs to be improved in the hallways, and several of the common areas like the lobby, room doors, meeting spaces, lobby columns, and banquet areas could stand some small paint touch-ups in some areas. Not a big deal, but you can tell that it's time for this type of maintenance to be done. . Finally, my headboard was damaged, however the hotel left a very nice note explaining that the hotel was working to get this resolved, and there was a delay on receiving the new headboards (probably due to the tariffs). This will hopefully be corrected soon. Once again the staff was very nice and professional, and the room was comfortable and inviting.
