We had a great weekend with our family in New York. Check in staff was great, she let us check in earlier since we had kids, a dog and a show to run in the early afternoon. All the staff was super friendly. Roof top also with great food and staff. I would definitely come back!

The Hyatt staff was wonderful. Very polite, accommodating. My roommates and I were very grateful for them being so helpful! It got us through a difficult weekend. Thanks again Hyatt Herald Square!

Rooftop terrace is wonderful! Rooms are larger than I expected. However, the architect that designed the rooms must not have stayed in a hotel before. The frosted glass bathroom door is stylish, but turning the light on in the bathroom in the middle of the night floods the room with light. There are super bright night lights attached to the base of the bed that do not turn off, so I had to use the extra pillows to block the light. For some reason, the blackout curtains are attached to the wall next to the windows, for esthetics, but not functionality since the actual curtain rod stops before even getting to the window, so what is left is a window shade that does not block the light. If you are light sensitive, you will not be sleeping well. Even if you can sleep through the light, the beds are hard as a rock. But the pillows are nice. Its a shame, because it's truly a beautiful hotel, the rooms have a lot of flaws.
