The Bower Inn

Excellent, friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Food is fantastic & good value & there is always a sausage for the dogs at breakfast.

Lovely place with really helpful staff and good food. We stayed ofernight to meet friends and celebrate a birthday. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced and breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is a good choice of food on the dinner menu. The rooms were good for the price and breakfast was included. There is a nice deating area in the bar and a separate dining area and a small but pleasant garden at the front with tables etc. Plenty of free parking on site. A great place to meet up and we will be returning in the future.

A lovely country pub with rooms and a great restaurant. We enjoyed our stay here. Staff were really helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying again.

It is in a lovely location. Very convenient for visiting family nearby. Nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of dining areas. Very friendly staff who will alter the menu to suit. We will always stay here when visiting Bridgwater. This is our second stay here.

Stayed in room 12. Super comfy. Extremely roomy with a separate kitchenette loins area. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and all handmade. I stay in lots of hotels for business and consider this to be a real gem and will definitely be staying again.

A lovely suite. Great living/kitchen room if you wanted to be independent. We just booked one night. Comfy bed, clean throughout. By the management's own admission, the bathroom is due a redecoration in the NY. But otherwise very pleasant. Had trouble with main building front door and they immediately called in locksmiths to sort the jamming. Superb breakfast.

Older property so not your standard hotel room, with limited space for suitcases and clothes. But very clean, staff great, food very good and no issues for parking.

Clean facilities and very friendly and professional staff.

Our bedroom was immediately behind the cow field. Not only did the whole hotel have a strong smell, but opening our bedroom window filled the place with flies. Toilet was dirty which was a shame. Otherwise stay was very good, nice breakfast, and comfortable bed. Wouldn't stay again however based on the negatives

Amazing room and hotel. Luxury room with a bathtub in was amazing. Staff friendly and hotel spotless. 5/5 would definitely stay again. One slight criticism but nothing much was the pillows were uncomfortable, could do with firm pillows. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Whenever I’m in the area for work there is no question as to where I will stay, it’s always here, lovely staff fantastic food and very clean and tidy really great place to stay.

On arrival at the pub I was a bit dubious as the entrance was shabby with peeling paint and the stairs to my room had a very dirty carpet. However the welcome from the staff was lovely. The room was great. Quality tea, cafetiere and ground coffee, homemade shortbread biscuits. Lively toiletries , I think the brand was Bramley, a local company. The dinner was just ok. The beef was not cooked medium (as stated)and the potatoes I think, were re heated. They were very, very crispy. The restaurant was very comfortable. The breakfast ( Eggs Royale) was excellent. I would definately return.

The building is very welcoming as you drive into the carpark. Staff were very friendly and food was delicious. Unfortunately, although the room was very spacious and the decor was tastefull, the bed was very uncomfortable and meant we both didn't sleep well.

A lovely night stay - I was impressed with the spacious room I was allocated and the quality of the furniture and fittings. The room was lovely and warm. Breakfast menu was fantastic and a very good choice of items provided. The only downside was trying to find it as the postcode took me to a housing estate and I got very lost!

Very busy pub with rooms. Have stayed here before but food not as good this time. Very strange dinner menu choices. Waited half an hour for our order to be taken. Food not very good. No check back by staff either. At breakfast food very poor. My scrambled egg not very hot and not much of it either. Served on top of a slice of toast with a pat of butter at the side . No cereals or pastries or even toast and jam. Won’t be using this place again

Our gps took us a weird way and we werent thrilled with the residential location until we turned the corner and saw the building; it is a perfect little countryside inn. We has delicious food, great service, and a comfortable stay. The man who checked us in was especially helpful, and the dinner and breakfast service were great too. Overall a wonderful stay for any price, but it was also really good value.

Everything was good apart from trying to find the inn on arrival. We were informed that Bower Lane was closed and spent 30 minutes driving around the local housing estates! Breakfast service was very slow, but found out the pilot light in the kitchen had gone out. Room was great.

Nice spacious room set a quiet location. My only complaint would be The doors need soft closes put on them as they slam shut if you’re asleep they wake you up. Have to go back to Bridgewater in a couple of weeks unfortunately I will not be staying as they want £180 a night. Bridgewater is not central London.

Easy going establishment, friendly staff . Quite clean , thought breakfast could have been better quality. Improved coffee , back bacon instead of streaky, scrambled eggs not liquid eggs . Thank you

Room ok. Pillows not great. Food looked better on the picture's. Had a burger what was warmed up. Very dry and very disappointing. Stayed in room 5. Bathroom door catches on toilet doesn't open in fully. Would not stay here again.
