Holiday Motel

Easy to find, good parking, the gentleman at check in was SO sweet. Room was clean and comfortable, nice and quiet; I didn't hear anything from the rooms around me. The tv remote wasn't the greatest of working so I just found a channel on the box and stuck with that all night. Bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser, a desk and chair. Several outlets. If you come with any children who may wonder thru drawers...there were flavored condoms in the drawers of mine so maybe check that before little ones can grab them. This was super close to a work training event, and if I ever go back I'll definitely stay here again!

You get what you pay for, it was quite and they accepted dogs, only negative is the pillows sucked!

The room was utterly gross, stained matress, dirt inside the drawers, and clumps of hair in the bathtub. The smell of cigarettes was the cherry ontop.

I kind of had a feeling of what to expect based on reviews, but being I knew it was a less expensive motel and I just needed it to serve the purpose of being at an event I thought “how bad could it be?” It seemed the room was atleast tended to. Bathroom looked like it was clean. The room smelt like strong cigarettes and old furniture. Bed coverings were gross and had cigarette burns in them. There were Marks on it as well. Walls have marks all over them and pillow cases were faded and discolored. Outside smells like there are clearly people who have not very good hygiene and they most likely live in the motel. I figured based on the area being very rural and isolated, and it being close to the venue I was going to it would be something to settle for but, the low ratings are for a reason. I can’t imagine how much more money it would be to invest in painting some walls and doing an overhaul on getting new blankets sheets and pillow cases. So please do that. $80 a night it not even worth that stay given the area. I’m sorry, but please take care of your business and customers.

This was the worst place I've ever seen. I don't know how it is permitted to operate. Blood, what appeared to be feces, long hairs on the bed sheets, pillowcases and bedskirt. Liquid splatter on the walls, families living at the hotel. Owner did refund our money after we looked at two rooms and refused them both. He was very nice. I don't understand why this is an acceptable standard of conduct for his business. We travel a great deal and this was the worst hotel by far, that I've ever seen.

The room was beyond filthy. Walls were stained with food and other liquids that were never cleaned off. Spiderwebs with bugs on the walls on floor. Even though we were in a smoking room and the sheets had burn holes, we also had sheets that were blood stained. You can hear mice in the walls. When I spoke to the front desk, he said there was no way they had mice and that I was expecting too much for a place that wasn’t a 5 star hotel. Stay far away from this motel!

The room base board, walls was dirty, old diplated furniture, chairs i didn't want sit on. When pull covers back on bed , there human hair,stain spots on linens. No breakfast was available, as stated. Good price for a quick overnight stay, but definitely needs a modernized make over.

This place is a real dump...dirty, old chairs in the room that are dirty and torn, floors are not clean furniture not dusted. Needs a major renovation

Despite some negative reviews, I decided to book this place due to it's proximity to Newton, which I had to attend for business. Overall I was very happy with the experience. The building was older but clean and functional. The heating system and bar fridge seemed very new. The bathroom was clean and the tub/shower were in good shape. I was there from Sunday to Thursday and it was quiet the while time. I would return.

Rooms are small and wifi goes in and out all the time and the bathroom wasn't really clean

Kids shot off fireworks all night and yelled outside door no Kleenex in room and sheets had stains

I was in town for the island drags. This was the only place in a 20 mile area for under a 100.00 dollars at 97.00 total. Like it’s said you get what you pay for! I got the lowest price room not a 200.00 room. That being said good bang for your buck! The room was ok fairly clean bed was ok ac worked good. The only things that I did not like the towels were dingy looking only one face towel and it looked like one of my shop rags. The bed pillows needed replaced no shape and flat. Good shower very hot water not great pressure but it got the job done. So again for the price what do you want? I would stay here again but next time I will bring my towels! lol the check in was ok and the front people were very nice!

No place to hang clothing. Bedside lamp cannot be turned off from bed. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Bathroom was clean and pretty modern. Bedroom was clean but the bed mattress was awful and the linens and pillows were terrible. Would have been passable if they had put in a good mattress and accessories. We stayed one night and and were refunded for the second night.

This hotel is a good value for short stays. Comfortable bed, quiet, courteous staff. That’s all I need.

We came up for the Camp Crystal Lake tour. Hubby and I are horror fans. Not a lot of places to stay near the event. The Holiday Motel was conveniently located in Andover about 30 minutes from the camp. It's not fancy place, but the owners were awesome, they showed us how to turn the heat on, and October in Northern NJ heat is a must. Room was clean, beds were comfy, fridge and microwave in the room. There was a diner up the street, Andover Diner, just amazing. I'm glad we stayed. Fun trip.

Had to wait for someone to ckme to office at 6 pm. Overall check in was ok. Quiet nigjt not best motel around,but only one i stay at when i come here. The people who run it make it nice to stay.

This place should be razed. Rude staff, absolutely filthy room. Dead bugs everywhere, dirt, grime, stains, clogged sink, air filter for heat/ac unit was completely clogged so air didn't get through, broken locks on door, the list goes on. Room looked like it hadn't been serviced in many months, if at all. Better off sleeping in your car.

This was an unexpected trip but they came thru. Price was great. They called me to remind me of my check in and even upgraded me from a queen to king when they saw I had my kid with me. Very kind. It was only for one night, but if im ever back in the area I would definitely stay here again!

THIER OFFER to accommodate me at checkin was to tell me there were other hotels available, just time them $20 cancelation charge and don’t come back. I was so tired I worked something out with the credit card, just so I could get a few hours sleep! So you live & learn

tHE MANAGER ASKED MY HUSBAND HOW MUCH HE PAID FOR ME, THINKING i WAS A PROSTITUTE. We were deeply offended by that, since Im his wife! The room had gray filthy towels in the bathroom, the comforter had a hole in it right on the top- the pillows were flat and we had to ask for more. the walls had human fingerprints on it by the door and lightswitch, no coffee pot at all, only one reading lamp by the side of the bed, the air conditioner ran all night and never cooled the room off.

Best price in area by far! Super-easy access to hike & bike rails-to-trails paths. Downside: restaurant choices close early in this area.

Owner is very friendly and helpful. We had questions about the wi-fi and he personally came over to our room to help us out. While it's an older property, there have been a number of renovations and upgrades - for example, our bathroom was very new and modern. We would stay here again for the location near hiking trails and I expect the place will be much nicer if the owner continues these improvements.

For a one-night stay, this motel is totally worthwhile. Clean, safe, and quiet. That’s all I really need for 8-10 hours. There are not a lot of choices in this area, and this 20-room motel is half the price of the nearby major flag hotel.
