Very nice little lodge and it’s located cross road of ocean in route 1, easy walk to restaurant and cafe , cozy room with nice electric firewall , check in is easy and smooth , great choice if you want to reflex in a small ocean town.

The staff was friendly and attentive but not available after 6pm or between noon and 3pm check in. Room not ready after check in. Booked the “deluxe” king with ocean view. Window filthy with bird crap and film. Warm weather but no AC so kept windows open to horrendous traffic noises. Fireplace fired on automatically with a loud bang then shut off after a minute, after office hours.No buttons to control fireplace. Cigarette smoke from units below waffled into windows early am. Refrigerator needs defrosting. Overall facility in need of remodel. Cold water faucet handle loose. Exterior grounds are not well maintained. Overall impression is management/ ownership is absent. Not worth $250/night. A rip off.

This motel is a little dated. Room was mostly clean, the fireplace/heater was very efficient. The bathroom, sink and toilet was all in one room, which is not preferable. The shower, no tub was dated.

My room was bright, airy, and welcoming; super clean, cozy, and comfortable. Lovely view of both river and ocean. The "fireplace" was an unexpected bonus. Parking area is laid out well, somewhat hidden from the street by shrubs in the property, and the spaces are large. Becky (on-site manager) was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Totally professional, but with a warm personality. She was very accommodating when I discovered I'd inadvertently double-booked for the night! But I ended up wanting a second night, so she worked it all out. This is a great place and I would driveline stay here again!

We felt so welcome at check-in and through the stay (love the faux fireplace). Easy walk to great restaurants and the market. The list of recommended restaurants was so nice to have too. It’s also rare to have the ice machine work so great!

Especially enjoyed the one and only King Suite .although its upstairs ( and no elevators ) , the room itself has quite an ocean view . and yes Pets are Welcome !!

Nice Inn across from an inlet and the ocean with *free* parking! Beds were comfortable, shower was good. The instructions for the TV were way out of date (for when it was Satellite dish instead of the current cable box) so we couldn’t use many features. No food onsite but great restaurants close by. The Azul Cove was great, though service was so-so. Food was excellent.

Great stay with Gualala Country Inn. They offer contactless check-in if you are coming in later at night and are pet friendly! The room is very cozy and super clean. We had a great view from the window and microwave and fridge are included. The Inn is also conveniently located next to the supermarket as well as lot of restaurants. Would definitely come back again!

We were very happy with our stay. The room was lovely. It was very tastefully designed. I have one suggestion: the carpets were quite stained and not pleasing. Perhaps a deep cleaning is in order or better yet fresh carpets. Keep up the good work. We will mostly likely be back.

No complaints. The center lamp was not plugged in, which I did by reaching under the bed to the outlet. Feel free to put me on the payroll for it. We did not need the picture fireplace near the window. Appreciate the table and chairs. It took a while to get the TV off. Going to the bathroom at night wasn't helped by the outside light flooding into the bathroom and extending into the bedroom area. Maybe a shroud across that little window with a pull cord to bring it down and avoid the night lighting.

This was such a cute little inn! Absolutely charming and would stay again. It was a great price and they upgraded us to a water view room. Slept with the windows open and breeze coming in off the water. That was magnificent! My only suggestion would be that it is time to invest in some new beds. I slept fine but I am can sleep just about anywhere. I could feel some poking springs that would definitely drive some people crazy.

Caltrans is running a generator from dusk till dawn powering lights right outside the King Suite window, the room we were in really shouldn’t be available right now due to all of the noise. It would be a nice place otherwise, a bit dated but a beautiful view of the ocean, some other reviews mention the same thing about the generator and nothing has been done to remedy the situation. You can’t have the windows open, it’s crazy loud, and even with the windows closed it’s still a generator humming along all night.

The photos online don’t do this place justice. We stayed in the ocean view room, and it was stunning! Bed was comfortable, staff was very welcoming, and the room had all the amenities one could need. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful check in with Becky, The Manager. She was very informative with everything. What an asset she is to the hotel. The hotel is nice, quiet and clean and has a great view of the ocean. Hotel property is in a convenient location. Would definitely stay again.

Property Manager Becky is a rock star! She went out of her way to find a couple of extra pillows for our one night stay! Rooms were clean, comfy & everything was in good & working condition. The 2 queen beds were quite comfortable also.Had everything we needed for a good night sleep! Would stay again! 4star rating on property condition only because it is a little dated but they are in the process of updating the lodge.

The Inn was perfect for our overnight stay. It was quiet, clean and the location was great. Our room had a partial view of the ocean which made for a great stay. The couple problems were minor - water trickling out during shower but this is in a very rural area. There were some Expedia computer complications w/ getting the date of stay correct. Other than that the stay was fine. The manager was able to correct everything for us. Thank you!

Wanted a quiet getaway for my partners birthday. We had never been to Gualala and this property was perfectly located to walk anywhere we needed to go. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, cute little fireplace and bistro table and chairs. The view was fantastic. The property was quiet and clean. Perfect for our getaway.

We felt so welcome at check-in and through the stay (love the faux fireplace). Easy walk to great restaurants and the market. The list of recommended restaurants was so nice to have too. It’s also rare to have the ice machine work so great!

Nice Inn across from an inlet and the ocean with *free* parking! Beds were comfortable, shower was good. The instructions for the TV were way out of date (for when it was Satellite dish instead of the current cable box) so we couldn’t use many features. No food onsite but great restaurants close by. The Azul Cove was great, though service was so-so. Food was excellent.

A very cute inn at a reasonable price, this is exactly the kind of stay that makes a road trip down the coast so fun. The room was comfortable, cozy, and had a lovely view. I was initially concerned since I was going to arrive after office hours and couldn't get ahold of them with the phone# on their website, but I needn't have worried; they texted some time after the office closed with late check-in instructions and even provided helpful restaurant info. The whole process was very easy, and the woman in the office when I went to check out was very kind.

Very nice, cozy rooms. The service was very helpful. No breakfast is available, but there is a good Mexican restaurant/bakery within walking distance, in the same building as the nearby supermarket, where you can get very good breakfast burritos. They open at 6 AM. The only issue was the low water pressure in the shower — it worked for me, but it is something that should be checked. I would recommend this place and would stay again.
