Staff was wonderful! Rooms were clean but could use some repairs. Rear exterior door did not lock. There appeared to be some long term residents staying at the hotel. All in all good value for money and most importantly the room was clean! Loved the snack bar area in the room.

The staff were SO incredibly kind and helpful. This is clearly a family owned business, so they care deeply about their guests. They were helpful, kind, and very friendly/social! I think many people would enjoy staying here, it just was not for me. I have a very high expectation of cleanliness (it’s a flaw of mine, even at home), and while the room was clean, a few things just need updating —like the carpets. The lock on the back door also did not lock, so that made me a little weary.

Staff are very friendly. Check in is fast. They allow dogs which is hard to find. We have stayed more than 1 time in the family suite that is very roomy and is a very decent price. Definitely will stay again!

Don’t let the outside fool you! The outside definitely needs help and I hate saying that but I was a little worried when we pulled up. The inside is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Everyone at this hotel was amazing and the rooms were large and clean.

Stayed a few times now as it's dog friendly and got to know the proprietor and staff who are always welcoming helpful and friendly. Two people in a king sized bed great air con , good bathroom , with breakfast for under $70 . Bargain.

Everything was great! I stayed in #214. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. You can tell she really cares about your stay. I had a small dog with me and that was not a problem. Although this is a pet friendly hotel, it was quiet when I was there. No excessive noise from pets. The breakfast consists of bread / bagels, yogurt cups, Jimmy Dean microwavable sandwiches, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee. There is cream cheese, jelly, peanut butter, and butter. Basic but good.

Very dirty, the bed was old and there were bugs in it that bit us. After returning home, we still had problems with bites on the body of us and our child. I do not recommend this place for rent. The price doesn't match the quality!

The bed was very comfortable. The shower (although the showerhead was tiny and thought it would sting) was nice and refreshing - could rinse shampoo/conditioner out well and it was high enough to shower (I’m 5’8”). The guy at desk was friendly and even remembered my name after several hours. The breakfast was continental so no waffles/pancakes or sausage etc. (hot stuff). I heard it has new owners so probably upgrading yet - there was a musty smell when I first got there but it dissipated - couldn’t crack window open but I had air freshener along - I think new carpet could be a remedy. All in all it was close enough to where I needed to be and I’d stay again.

Stayed here while visiting a friend. The family running it was so sweet. The rooms were clean, quiet. The only issue i had was the pillows were smaller (the full size instead of King or Queen size), but i am a pillow snob and usually bring my own for overnight and forgot.

Despite the property name that sounds vaguely like a chain hotel, I found out later that this a family business and I am so glad to have stayed here for that reason alone. The owners are a delightful couple who are attentive to their guests and work very hard for the success of their business. I made a reservation online at the last minute so when I arrived only a short time later, they didn't have the room linens ready for me. To allow me to check in immediately, they offered me a different room and I very much appreciated it. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. I was only in the area for two nights, and this hotel was the perfect home base for my activities. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast here due to my schedule, but I got a cup of their brewed coffee from Ember Coffee Co. each morning. I had great conversations with the owners (and other staff members as well) who helped me learn about the area and make plans to visit the wildlife refuge that's just north of Big Lake. These personal interactions are what make this hotel so special.

Breakfast bar was hardly a breakfast. Both juice dispensers were empty. There were no protein entres. Two cold cereals: corn flakes and Raisin Bran and packaged Hostess type sweet pastries were all there was besides coffee. Room had two TV remotes, neither of which was I able to get to work right to access more than a couple of channels. Room did appear to be clean.

The check out fellow was in his pajamas, not friendly. I had to buzz to get in front door after going out to load my car. Sign on soor said ipen at 6 a.m. it was 6:15 a.m. then he came to front desk in pk's. Breakfast was at 6 a.m. they only had coffee and hostess ding dongs and cinannuns. 1/4 of a container of corn flakes and milk. Not any fruit or anything else. Very poor selections.

Really nice front desk staff. Unusual to feel at home in a hotel but they made it happen. Comfy beds, clean rooms, great breakfast given the small breakfast area. Didnt have the tv ton cnn or fox! THANKYOU! Had WCCO, a local happy news station on. Nice change!

Having to make a last minute booking is always a gamble. This one paid off--it was everything I was hoping for and more! Sure there were some things that most hotels would do or have that they didn't (AC wasn't on when we arrived, breakfast was just cereal and Twinkies, shower and shower head were older), but I didn't need all that. I turned the AC on myself and the room was fine after a few minutes,the breakfast was sufficient to get me to another place to eat, and the shower pressure and temperature were amazing. If you can get over expecting the frills of most hotels, while still having a clean and comfortable place to sleep--this is the place for you! If I am ever in the area again and needing a place to sleep, I will DEFINITELY be looking here!
