Holiday Inn Express - Tullahoma by IHG

I came to this location and the pool was not open. The pics of the rooms were misleading of what i got. I couldn't get a refund on stay or transferred to another location. This is the first time that i have stayed in a holiday inn express that i wouldn't give a five star to.

The area was ok. Limited parking in the front but easy access from the back. All I wanted was somewhere to sleep and a good shower while traveling. I checked in and they failed to share that their pump was broken and there hadn’t been HOT water in 2 days. The next morning I woke up and had no way to take a warm shower. I called the front desk and the operations manager deduced to inform me then, instead of the staff giving me the option to stay or find another hotel the night before! When I checked out he offered me 1,000 points. What the heck is that supposed to do to help???? Don’t do it. There is a Hampton Inn right around the corner!

Nice clean hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great location in Tullahoma. Construction around the property, but not a noise issue. Friendly, helpful staff! Would definitely recommend! Kudos to Lisa at the front desk!

I want to say upfront that the staff was great, and that they graciously accept large commercial vehicles. There is room for one or two in the back parking lot. This was helpful to me, as I am a professional driver. The only negative part of my stay is that the walls are thin and evidently were not built with any effort in sound muffling. I heard the voices and conversations of three adults, two men, one woman, and one child. I was not eavesdropping. It was as if I was in the room with them. Unfortunately, I had to leave very early the next morning and desperately needed to sleep early, so I put soft music on the radio at my bedside, set to low volume, to distract from the conversation that continued in the room next to me until 12:30 AM., fterwhich, the coughing and snoring began. I was not upset with my neighbors. They have every right to enjoy their stay, and talk as much and as long as they like. The same right as the guests who would like to go to bed early and not have to be kept awake by the conversation and laughter of their neighbors. I am instead disappointed in the designers and builders of hotels who give no thought to sound privacy. Again, the hospitality of the staff was excellent. I would suggest that they might consider filling every other room in the future to mitigate this problem. Of course, if the hotel fills up, this would not be possible. This problem is not their fault. It is the fault of the builders. Thank you for listening. Sorry for the long review.

There must have been construction going on nearby because every morning you could hear the heavy machinery. I'm sure there is nothing that can be done about that though. Otherwise, very nice.

It was a great overnight stop and all the amenities were open and worked properly. Which was a big bonus over some places we stayed on this trip.

The hotel parking lot was clean, The room was clean & comfortable. It had a walk-in or roll-in shower to accommodate a handicapped traveler. The shower was equipped with Dove shampoo, conditioner, & body wash wall dispensers. The sink was equipped with Dove hand soap & hand lotion wall dispensers. The snack room had chips, candy bars, & microwavable soup along with a cold drink vending machine. It also had a refrigerated vending machine with microwavable meals. Staff members were courteous & friendly.

Swim what is very cold they said it was heat it. The bathroom door would not close.

Amazing experience at this hotel. The pool was great and the fitness center was very nice (bigger than expected). The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

Dirty floors in elevator and lobby

This is our second time staying at this hotel. Always clean and great service. Continental breakfast was excellent. We look forward to our next stay.

Given the wrong room, no refund for price difference. Bathtub was old & small, visible mildew. This hotel was built pretty recently, but somehow looks older & more worn out than other hotels in the chain.

My daughter found a bug on her pillow. We reported it and they moved us. Found more bugs on the bedding and floor. So we didn’t stay. They refused to give us a refund. And said that we were going to get billed for Terminix coming out. This was so horrible and very inconsiderate. Just plain horrible and inhuman.

Ants all over the room, shower curtain broken shower curtain would cover ends water went out of tub. No food for breakfast, house keeper vacuuming while trying to get food and drink, emptying vacuum canister in trash can to dispose plates etc in with food around! Check out guy is doing trash comes with trash hands and by finder tips gives me my appear receipt, then uses hand sanitizer!

So, the room was basically clean. There was a 2-inch bit of caulk in the shower/tub that was part of the larger maintenance issue, but the room itself was clean. The hotel was less than clean. The hallways on the ground floor and the floor my room was on could have used a vacuuming. There was a crusty grey ... thing ... about the size and shape of a Cheeto in the pool area. And generally, the place looked like many minor maintenance issues were being neglected. So, it's not up to the brand standards as I've come to expect them. That said, based on outward appearances it might be the best hotel in Tullahoma (and maybe the wider area), with the possible exception of the LivSmart, judging by the outward appearances. It's a small town in Tennessee, not off an interstate, and most tourists to the area don't actually stay there.

We found that the toilet was clogged when we arrived unfortunately with a late arrival it’s too late to do anything about it so our first night was pretty much without a toilet. We had to go down to the lobby level to use the bathroom bathroom they did get a repair person to take care of it, but did not give us any credit on the night without. Very disappointing.

There was some really bad smelly socks in one of the drawers that smelled up the whole room when we opened the drawer, and some stains on the carpet. Other than that, the stay was nice. People that worked there was kind. They had cookies at check in that were delicious. I wish they had them available at checkout too. The breakfast was good. The pool was clean.

The room was nice and clean. However, the refrigerator doesn't get cold, the vanity lights in the bathroom did not work. There are no vending machines in the hotel and not a lot to choose from at the desk.

Everything was great except the handicap bathroom shower. The floor is actually not proper for someone to sit in the bench and shower. Water ran out the door and into the room do the the grade of the footing. Staff said oh yeah we know about his problem and gave me towels to clean it up.

The breakfast was very good but my only complaint would be that on one of the mornings, the breakfast area ran out of coffee and hot food items at 7:30am. It took her awhile to replenish. And also, the hotel is right in front of a busy railroad track. You can hear the trains during the night.

The hotel overall was nice. The bathroom within our room was not quite as nice as it should be. The floors were sticky, the mirror was broken. Some poor patchwork was done. The shower head was leaking badly from the base at the wall. The wallpaper was peeling off pretty severely. When you pay over $230 for a room in a small town, this should not be the issue. Then there was a rowdy crowd in the lobby around midnight (We were first floor) and that when on for a while. Beds and such were good. Overall, it was ok, but not worth the $230 we paid for one night. It’s about a $150 room. Other rooms may be better. I try not to judge an entire hotel by one room.

Bad room. The room we got was right off the lobby. When you ran the shower, there was no barrier and the water ran out into the bathroom, and under the door into the entrance way and down the hall. Total mess and really no way to keep this from happening. Blinds held in place with clothes pins. Not a 149$ room even on its best day Good breakfast and location.

The walls are very thin and we had to listen to our neighbors each night of our visit. Also, with the active train system, it was annoying to my wife. The eggs were a little cool and we had to wait for the meat entrée twice during our four-day visit. Also, one of the two pump creamers was empty the last two mornings of our stay. The staff was very welcoming, pleasant and conversive. Most enjoyable were Theresa in the breakfast room and what a joy to visit with Frank from maintenance each morning. These two blessed our mornings with a smile and their enjoyable personalities. We plan on returning in April 2025 and will probably stay with you again.

Trains go by property frequently so it’s a little noisy, not a big deal to us . My only complaints are the heat did not work in our room and the flip bolt locking latch on the inside of the door was totally broken and ripped off.

The facilities were great and breakfast was delicious. The staff was absolutely fantastic. We were in town for a death in the family and the staff was so hospitable and compassionate. Lisa, Jo, Linda and John were amazing . We will be back next time we are visiting family.

Great rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff

Staying here for my Fathers Celebration of Life service at a nearby State Park. The hotel was clean and nice like the many other times we have stayed here. But sometimes it's just a great front desk staff that makes sure that everything is the way you need it to be makes the place a 5 star!

We enjoyed our stay in Tullahoma as we were touring some of the local distilleries. The staff was friendly and helpful. Th breakfast was very good as well!

Nice place and close to restaurants and shopping center.

The hotel was clean. It was extremely obvious the hotel wasn't prepared for the continental breakfast during our stay. Almost every single item was out when we came down for breakfast around 8:15AM. There wasn't a sense of urgency to stock things that were completely out. The bananas were past the point of no return. Day 2, it was the same as day 1....so we just checked out and stopped for breakfast on our way home.

Nice room. Breakfast was not good. Eggs were burnt. Sausage was black and did not look like sausage. Biscuits never came out. Did not eat any of that. I had a banana nut muffin and some juice needs much improvement

Our stay was excellent except that for the breakfast. There were a lot to choose from but many of the offerings were not replenished. We came down halfway during the breakfast serving time and we noticed that some of the trays are nearly empty and then simply taken away later on.

Room was fairly clean, bathtub needed attention. Went to eat breakfast in the morning and there was no food. It was 7:45 am and breakfast was til 9:30. There were bagels and toast, 1 egg, 2 sausages, and nothing else. No coffee and all the other good containers were empty. They were not busy, they only had 3 other people in the breakfast area. The most frustrating part was that the woman working the breakfast area was sitting on the corner talking on her cell phone. She was oblivious to the multiple people coming down and leaving after finding no food or coffee. The operations manager also walked through the breakfast area and looked at things but never said anything. Not a huge deal but frustrating since we had to pay more for a room with breakfast.

It was clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was hot, delicious and a great variety. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel!
