Alplodge Interlaken - Hotel

We had a great stay. The guy who checked us in was friendly and the view from our room was incredible. For the price we would absolutely book this place again. However, the hotel was a lot older than we were expecting and the staircase is extremely loud. The walls are thin so you can really hear every time someone walks up and down the stairs to go to the bathroom etc. Also, the shared bathrooms are individual bathrooms that you can lock but they aren’t specified for men or women so I was a little uncomfortable using a toilet and shower that guys were also using. It was all kept clean though and really we were very happy with our stay. We even were able to use a free street parking spot right out front during the night. And the location of the hotel on the Aare River is absolutely stunning and made for an unforgettable stay.

O hostel é mt bem localizado, com uma bela vista. O quarto e o banheiro são em bom tamanho, limpos e com mobiliario bom. O espaço em comum é bem equipado e também limpo e organizado. Os funcionarios prestativos e atenciosos. Pagamos pelo cafe da manhã e valeu mt a pena, maravilhoso! Pq é o mesmo café servido no Hotel Bellevue.

Very good location. You can find signpost easily from Interlaken center. There are 2 receptions at property, one for Hotel Bellavue and one for Alplodge. Bed was ready with clean bed Lenin when you arrive, also there is good size luggage locker (without lock). Nice shared kitchen with plenty of seating. On down side, room is small for 6 people and bunk beds are very squeaky. Less toilets mean you've to queue at times.

Stay was wonderful. Got a single room and it works just fine for 2 nights. My only complain is that in the shared kitchen, they dont seem to maintain it. No dish washing soap and the sinks were all clogged for a hostel. No one seems to care about it.

I had a great experience at this hostel. The atmosphere was very social, and I enjoyed sharing and speaking with the other guests. The kitchen and dining hall were lovely, fully equipped, and became the main place where people spent most of their time. The key card system was also fantastic. My only minor issue was that there was often a queue for the showers, so a smoother system there would have made the stay even better.

God beliggenhed tæt på alt. Ok i forhold til pris. Og bestil morgenmaden også, det er pengene værd! Dejlig tagterrasse hvor vi spiste vores convenince food. De delte badeværelser fungerede fint.

Old building, small bathrooms and rooms, beds are very unstable

Very old building with what seems like original fixtures that need replaced. Sink drips, lights are very dim, floor creaks with every step of yours and other guests around you, spiders/bugs everywhere. No person at reception or signage telling you where to go to check in, even after checking in online still had to go through a tablet based check in that I already completed. Cost per night is ridiculous for what you get.

Overall the accommodation was good - the room was a good size and the place was clean and tidy. Although it would benefit from better pillows and aircon or a ceiling fan during summer. Our main issue was the shocking experience we received from one member of staff at check in - a fairly young asian lady. We rang the bell not realising we are required (not optional) to use the self check in. When she arrived her first words were 'Is there a problem?'. We responded there was no problem we just wanted to check in. She then said 'Yes, so whats the problem?'. We didnt understand and her response was 'It is self check in and unless there is a problem with self check in then there should be no problem'. Weve never experienced such poor service and she continued in this tone until we pointed out she should probably actually greet new arrivals and explain things as if they havent been there before before going straight to this kind of tone - which is still unprofessional and entirely unacceptable. The poor attitude continued as she checked us in and we didnt bother coming back to reception to ask for advice on activities, which was one of the reasons we chose this accommodation. Overall poor review due to the shocking first impression given by one staff member.

First of all i did not expect to have such a beautiful view on the mountains and the water in a hostel. The room was clean and they cleaned it everyday. And the other traveller where very friendly. The place is very well located and not that expensive. I would recommend.

the property is clean and in a good location. the wifi signal is quiet weak and unstable in my room, hope this can be improved in the future. other than that, the property is nice to stay.

Hospedagem na Suiça é cara e em Interlaken, mais caro ainda. O hostel é um prédio bem antigo, mas cumpre bem o seu propósito. Só faço ressalva com relação ao colchão do quarto em que fiquei, que estava muito ruim.

Very convenient location, but ceilings were very thin and floors very squeaky. Pillow also very flat, almost Non-existent

It’s okay for a single night stay for someone on a budget. Hostel rooms have bunk beds that not comfortable.

It was a good spot for interlaken. Very accessible but away from busy area. If only the room has AC units during summer. Otherwise the stay is pleasant

The Guy at Check in on 23 December made me wait for 30 minutes before he dealt with me. He was serving two Swiss locals with Cocktails and talking to them, knowing that I was waiting. The Check in tablet was not working and he had to check me in, in the end. Terrible service. He needed a good shake and a kick up the derrière. Gormless, totally useless. Outside of Alplodge is old, dated, needs painting white again. It's a dirty grey colour at present. The Hostel room itself was small, crampt and with 6 people in it, it was overcrowded. Very small, Felt like I had stepped back in time to 1980. I wish to complain about one of the Owners Rui who refused to refund a two unused nights due to a family emergency. This was very unsympathetic. I have raised a Chargeback and my Bank will simply take the funds from Alplodge's Bank. I am happy to cancel the Chargeback upon receiving a two night refund from Rui.

The hostel is in great location. Close to everything and the view is beautiful.

Für meine Zwecke total in Ordnung. War viel unterwegs und sonst gibt es die Möglichkeit mit dem Hotel.Für Frühstück ect.
