Great place to stay. Park at the Q park for Eyre Sq around the block from the inn and make sure to get a discount with the front desk. Front desk and staff are extremely helpful. 5⭐️ location!

Adjacent to Eyre square. Room had aircon, plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. A little difficult to find if you are driving. Traffic in the area is atrocious. You can just hear the bass from the pub band so, not too good if you are a light sleeper. Reception was great and showed me on Google maps how to get to the validated parking. Enjoyed my stay there.

This was a great little hotel and centrally located. You do have to park at the mall down the road for 10 euro a night and the bar/restaurant is quite loud til two am which you can hear through the walls. We still got some good rest as the beds were cozy and they put a chocolate on our pillow. The lady at the front desk was always so nice and full of energy

It is a very nice property in front of the Eyre Square. Lots of shopping and pubs right out if the door and around the corner. O’Connel pub is across the Square and it is the best pub Galway. Staff is super nice. Parking is nearby with the shopping center. Very close and not a big deal at all. Room is very nice and very quiet despite the bar and restaurant downstairs. I had a great stay.

This is a great boutique hotel right in the middle of Eyre Square. It is walkable to all kinds of shopping restaurants bars and the riverfront. Parking was a nightmare but it will be for any place in this area honestly. They did validate so it was about half price to park. The room and interior had kind of a Hollywood feel to it, which wasn’t bad but just a bit odd. Everything was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The best part was the attached bar. It stayed open late and had a live musician until 10pm. Prices were also very reasonable. They also provide complimentary earplugs in the rooms but I didn’t need them. Highly recommended. Just mentally prepare for the parking and traffic challenge if you’re driving. Other than that a great choice!

Nice room and very comfortable, be aware this is a pub with events going on nightly until 2AM. But the only noise we heard were some room guest having a bit of trouble getting back into there room after the pub. Overall very nice with parking right around the corner at Qpark with a discount offered by the hotel currently $10 euro a day.

Lovely comfortable room, facing the christmas market which was nice. One drawback is npise but the room has ear plugs and your advised of noise upon check in. Car parking is in qpark and you pay €10 for 24hrs with a validated ticket from the hotel

The location can't be beat. It is literally on Eyre Square in the heart of Galway, right next to 10 Euro a day carpark and 2 minute walk from the Train station. The breakfast was huge and tasty. I will definitely return. The part that stood out was the customer service! From reception to the dining room to the cleaning staff everyone was so nice and went above and beyond the usual. They didn't just help. They took the time to chat and offer advice. It was so welcoming. WELL DONE TO ALL!

Fantastic location in an historic building, which shows some wear and tear around the edges, but the shower was super hot and strong. The bathroom was modern and spotless. The bed was comfortable, even if the linens weren’t the softest. It was very cute, trying hard to be boutique. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Amazing. Great value.

Great location but photos misleading. Its really a hotel next to a great pub, with rooms over pub and music until 2 am. That all was manageable but when i pulled back the curtains in our tiny room, the insides were covered in mold and the air conditioner also was. I dont know how this hotel got high reviews.

Fantastic team working there. Everyone was grand and friendly. Hotel was clean and loved the colors and uniqueness of the hotel. They had to deal with an unfortunate and out of their control issue regarding the water supply but they had a great solution in place and handled it fantasically. I hope other people were understanding and kind to the team onsite because they handled everything greatly.

We were delighted with our stay at the Skeffington! The location was perfect, staff was so attentive, friendly and responsive and the room itself was spotless and comfortable. Their signage made everything very easy and the extra amenities: bottled water, chocolate, biscuits were all an unexpected treat. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay at the Skeffington Arms in Galway. We had 2 rooms for a family of 4. The beds were comfortable, and there was air conditioning in each room. One of our rooms' air conditioning units was not working properly, and the room was a bit warm, but not bad. We were located in the back of the hotel, so we were not disturbed by the music in the pub downstairs. We immensely enjoyed the musician at the Skeff Bar. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The building is a beauty, but old, so all things considered, they have nicely kept the old building updated with modern amenities. I stayed in many hotels throughout my travels in Ireland, and this hotel has, by far, the best water pressure of any place I stayed. It was amazing and worth the price of the stay! I would stay here again when visiting Galway.

Fantastic location and stay! The facilities were excellent and the guest room spacious and comfortable. The entire hotel were warm and accommodating Our welcoming guest service agent Niall was a superstar , who did his utmost to look after us by offering genuine hospitality. I was a hotel GM for over 20 years and this man has a real future in the business and is a real asset to the hotel.

From the time we walked in the door until the day we checked out, the people at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay the best ever. They were awesome!!! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Additional we loved going down to the bar to listen to the live music. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you ever get a chance!!!

The hotel was very charming and in a wonderful location - walkable to everything with a restaurant attached. The staff, especially Niall was absolutely incredible. Top notch service and extremely helpful in navigating the city. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a car outside hotel. I told the young blonde girl I had 2 rooms reserved, but was there early. I told her I’d like to hold my bags at desk until room was ready. My friend was there and would check bags. . Where should I park? She told me she had no parking. She Suggested parking nearby. I left. Then my friend AGAIN told her we were checking in. Ahh she said, we have recommended cheaper lots. Well.. would be nice to know. I parked in E24 lot when she had E10 lot only available to hotel guests. I was very clear I was a guest with 2 booked rooms. What a bad listener she was. I am educated American with no accent. I speak clearly. She didn’t listen. You have a Great hotel. Wonderful room, amazing bar. Terrible desk clerk. Get better help please.

Great location for exploring Galway! 5 minute walk to the train station and the pick up for Galway Tours. Clean and comfortable room and reasonably quiet considering the bar downstairs.

Adjacent to Eyre square. Room had aircon, plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. A little difficult to find if you are driving. Traffic in the area is atrocious. You can just hear the bass from the pub band so, not too good if you are a light sleeper. Reception was great and showed me on Google maps how to get to the validated parking. Enjoyed my stay there.

Property location is PERFECT! In the heart of Eyre Square and all the pubs, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The Skeff Pub was awsome for any time of the day. Also visited the adjacent coffee shop NERO quite often for early morning and afternoon coffee. Great little spot!

It is a very nice property in front of the Eyre Square. Lots of shopping and pubs right out if the door and around the corner. O’Connel pub is across the Square and it is the best pub Galway. Staff is super nice. Parking is nearby with the shopping center. Very close and not a big deal at all. Room is very nice and very quiet despite the bar and restaurant downstairs. I had a great stay.

This place is ground-zero in the center of Galway. Parking is off-site, in your choice of huge city parking garages about 10 minutes away. The hotel is old, but has been renovated. We found the place a bit odd, and the parking issue was the last thing we needed being challenged by driving in Ireland in the first place. The big surprise - the hotel is next to probably the nicest and liveliest bar and restaurant in town. It is another operation of Skeffington, and we spent every night there - just a walk-thru from the hotel. Breakfast? Excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Aran Island Ferry dock, which worked out great for us. Book your ferry ticket in an office about a block from the hotel.

This is a great boutique hotel right in the middle of Eyre Square. It is walkable to all kinds of shopping restaurants bars and the riverfront. Parking was a nightmare but it will be for any place in this area honestly. They did validate so it was about half price to park. The room and interior had kind of a Hollywood feel to it, which wasn’t bad but just a bit odd. Everything was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The best part was the attached bar. It stayed open late and had a live musician until 10pm. Prices were also very reasonable. They also provide complimentary earplugs in the rooms but I didn’t need them. Highly recommended. Just mentally prepare for the parking and traffic challenge if you’re driving. Other than that a great choice!

The room decor and lyrics on the ceiling was a cool touch. Live band and attentive staff made a great stay. The fact that there could be a link (maybe not) to skeffington in Leicestershire. Really good food, disappointed we could not make the quiz as it sounded brilliant.

Great location to get the bus to Aran Island ferry and to get the bus to Dublin Airport. Breakfast was very good as was the service. It is not a luxury hotel but none the less we enjoyed our stay.

The room was nice and neat, a little dark with the dark painted wall and a small window, but the restaurant/bar makes up for every possible tiny thing you might be annoyed at. 10/10 for the connected restaurant and bar.

The location can't be beat. It is literally on Eyre Square in the heart of Galway, right next to 10 Euro a day carpark and 2 minute walk from the Train station. The breakfast was huge and tasty. I will definitely return. The part that stood out was the customer service! From reception to the dining room to the cleaning staff everyone was so nice and went above and beyond the usual. They didn't just help. They took the time to chat and offer advice. It was so welcoming. WELL DONE TO ALL!

Fantastic location in Eyre Square! We enjoyed sitting out the front of the pub with a Guinness and watching the world go by. We had a twin room which was spacious and had great a/c. The room was really well thought out. E.g the shower taps are not under the shower head (you can turn it on without getting a wet arm!) and there is a clear sign to find the hair dryer!! Friendly staff. Great pub with music downstairs. (You can hear the music in the room as they above the pub, but we just drank enough to not hear it!!)
