From the moment you walk in to the breakfast display in the morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Clean, affordable, friendly staff, great pool/hot tub/gym. Even love the stuffed wildlife. We will definitely stay here again when we are coming through.

This is a great hotel conveniently located near Falling Waters, Kentuck Knob and Polymath park. It's across the road from a gas station (not directly across, it's just down the road) and the gas station is Sheetz which has grab and go items incase you need a snack for the road. I would have given this place a 5 star review but 1. When I booked they advised they would give me a room on the top floor with a great view. Maybe they felt my view was great and that was the best view, but a view of a parking lot isn't awesome to me and I also don't think we were on the top floor. 2. Their gym is small and not very good. That may not be important to most people but it is to me. Also the gym is 24 hours and it's located in the pool area which is only available from 8:30-11:00 soooo....I had to bother front desk to let me into the pool area to access the 24 hour gym. 3. Breakfast was just ok. I think most people would be fine with it, especially if travelling with kids. They had plain oatmeal which was great - if you don't like plain you can add walnuts, sugar and raisns. I only wish they would have had hard boiled eggs and plain Greek yougurt. So for me the breakfast was meh, but for most it will be just fine. 4. Occassionally I heard noise at night almost as if the people above me were jumping. My sister heard the same.

We thought the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. The only negative was that the spa and pool were cloudy indicating they were not balanced and clean, which was confirmed when my husband ended up with an ugly, very itchy rash around his midsection.

Comfortable room. The beds were very clean and fresh and I didn\'t mind walking barefooted in my room! Not like other places. The bathroom was great. Except for the ring around the bathtub and the mildewed shower curtain. Spots on bathroom floor not cleaned. Other than that, the small kitchenette had everything needed and everything in the room was in order with convenient plug-ins and lights. The pool was very nice and there was a large exercise room. Loved the lobby with all the preserved wild animals and rustic "lodge" theme.

We picked this hotel for the option of a pool/hot tub. Hotel has been beautifully renovated, very clean and offers a wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately the hot tub was not hot during our stay, so we did not get to enjoy it. Beware of adjoining rooms… there is no threshold on the bottom and you hear everything the other room does.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We got a room with a jetted tub and that was amazing. The property was very well maintained. The free breakfast had some great options as well. Only issue, which wasnt a deal breaker, the main hot tub wasnt very hot and the jets didnt work. We still enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Love this place, clean and breakfasts are great. My one and only complaint was the pool water was way to cold for enjoyment!! That is the main reason we stay there, so the kids can swim. That was my only dissappiontment.

The hotel was ok. Beds were comfy, showers were hot. Checked in and got our room, entered and it immediately smelled like wet dog, asked to change rooms. I asked if dogs were allowed and they said just service dogs. Hot tub was luke warm (which is the whole point I booked this one), pool was fine, only three towels and wash cloths in room (we have a party of 4), seems to be common at a lot of hotels which is frustrating. Rooms could have been vacuumed a little more, crumbs were on room floor, Elevator has a weird strong smell, breakfast was ok. Would be nice if they offered regular yogurt verses just Greek. Staff was friendly leaving. Probably wouldn’t stay again just because there wasn’t much around the property. Seemed like a random location. But it was quiet.

Staff was really freindly and helpful. Unfortunately I don't believe our bathroom was cleaned prior to our stay. There were dirty used towels still hanging in the bathrom as well as hair and dirt in the sink and around the tub. Especially cincerning to us with the rise of health cincerns and having our children with us. The hot tub had a large amount of fiam that was brown and appeared dirty to say the least. The pool left us smelling in a wau that immediate showers were a must. Those amenities were are main reason for picking this place to stay and left us disapoiinted.

Loved the pool and hot tub! This hotel was very nice, clean, modern, and well managed. The breakfast was also well run in the morning with several options. The only minor issues we ran into were a few noises late at night. There was some intermittent beeping that sounded like a smoke detector in the hallway that needed new batteries or something. We discussed this with the staff in the morning, and they said they would look into it and wished we had told them that night to address it right away. We also noticed a light fixture was making a popping noise as we started blasting the AC. Pretty sure we just made it too cold too fast and the lamp took a bit to acclimate, since it had been on for awhile beforehand. Overall though, we enjoyed our brief stay!

There needs to be blackout shades or curtains. There was a light in the parking lot of outside our room which made it bright all night long. I was actually awakened by a vehicle parked right outside the window when they left super early and their lights came on.

Nice property but some designer placed “programmable” thermostats in room where prior guests programs couldn’t be over ridden First room was 76 degrees - wouldn’t cool down Second room was set at 26 Celsius !!? Weird Third room was normal. If there was another hotel option I would have left

The check in staff was very helpful. She went out of her way to ensure an early check in and late check out. In addition, after the kitchen was close the staff provided my husband and i something to eat. We were also invited to come back for anoter stay or to just say hello .

The hotel infrastructure is coherent with its price and stars. BUT, what really made it AMAZING was the politeness and willingness to help shown by all of the employees I had contact with. I have been in hotels all over the world, and I think this was the most attentive and cordial service I got. I don´t remember the names of everyone, but Sandy is one that I do and who was great. The staff really cares about you, and not just about their own rules and procedures.

I booked a 3-day stay at this property via Expedia. Little that I knew, my daughter would get covid and we would be unable to go. I contacted the hotel 3 days prior to my stay (via messaging platform of Expedia) to see if dates can be changed given this; no response for 2 days. I then contacted the hotel directly and got bounced back to Expedia via an unfriendly front office person at the property who told me that she just got back, saw my message(after 2 days), there is nothing they can do, and I should take it up with Expedia. Expedia also made several attempts to discuss/resolve the issue, but they went unanswered until the last minute (check-in day). After 3 days of initial contact, I was told that the hotel refused to make any changes. I was surprised by this kind of (lack of) response/service and was disappointed by the attitude and lack of flexibility, given the positive ratings.. yes it was a non-refundable rate and I had all the intentions/desire to be there, but just couldn't due to sickness. Allowing a customer to move dates by 2 weeks would have resulted in a positive customer experience, but this property does not seem to care about that. Will exclude Holiday Inn Express as a brand name from my future bookings, going forward.

I travel once a week on business and interact with hotel staff often. I was completely blown away by the service and attention provided by every member of the staff there. From check in to guy who came to fix glitches in our TV, to all night staff. Could be indicative of the friendliness of the community, but they never hid and always why the extra step!

Incompetence of staff was overwhelming. I booked the hotel for 6 days and due to work constraints had to leave two days earlier. Staff told me that they will not return two remaining days since I’m leaving early. They stated that this is Expedia requirements. I reached out to Expedia and had no issues with them, they stated “we hear it first time”. Expedia was able to get my money back by calling facility and dealing with them. 5 stars to Expedia staff and 2 for facility front desk.

My family was going skiing at Hidden Valley Resort and this was an excellent choice for a hotel! It is six miles from Hidden Valley and 8 miles to Seven Springs Resort. The hotel staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was so clean and the beds and bedding were comfortable. It is located right off of the turnpike and there are quaint shops and restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay there next year! I was very happy with this hotel!

I picked this hotel due to its proximity to Falling Water (Frank Lloyd Wright). We quickly checked in and had dinner at HillBilly Grub n Pub. In the morning we had a nice free breakfast. There is a Sheetz right down the road for gas and snacks and the PA Turnpike entrance is right there! It is only about 30 minutes to the 9/11 Flight 93 Memorial. Highly Recommend!!

This is a great hotel that really has some character and really nice staff. You can find cheaper in the area, but if you can spare a little extra I think this hotel is worth it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is very limited healthy choice for breakfast (adding yogurt and some fruit would fix this) and the hot tub is more like a luke warm tub. I actually got cold sitting in it.

I liked the location and quietness of the property. The hotel was pretty clean. Very good hot breakfast and coffee in the lobby in the mornings. We stayed two nights and there were different options both mornings. The pool was also nice and clean and my family really liked it. The staff was nice. The only thing I can complain about is that we had a family of 4 and only had 3 towels in the bathroom. We brought 4 towels of our own, but between baths and showers and using the pool, it wasn't enough. We called to see if we could get more towels, and were just told the towels were in the dryer.
