Very helpful staff who obliged all reasonable requests. Comfortable lounge for dining and chatting. Great location near the beach and boardwalk. Would recommend staff-led meet and greets, and maybe trivia contests to facilitate communication and unity amongst the guests. Definitely recommend this property.

So this place shouldn't be slept on. Booked this place after cancelling a slightly more expensive place. The rate you in book is the rate you pay. Pretty straightforward just don't trash the place and you won't get an incidentals charge. You can pay seemingly any method just need a major credit card for the incidentals charge supposing you damage something. I guess you could consider that the "deposit" except they don't hold anything on the card. Stayed for one night, woke up and took full advantage of the free Continental breakfast. Its free, basic and decent. Bagels, tangerines and toast are offered. They provide butter, cream cheese, little jellies and peanut butter. They have tea, hot cocoa and coffee as well, coffee is instant if that matters. They also have creamer, sugar and sweeteners. Im a big guy i had a top bunk and it was sturdy and comfy. Pillows are pretty small but not a deal breaker, blankets and sheets are provided and do the job to keep you warm. Definitely coming back. Good service from the front desk, bathrooms are clean, toilets and showers work well. They provide towels and wash cloths also.

Way better than I expected. For Venice, location couldn't be any better. Rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. Easy to get to and from by bus if you do not want to take Uber.

I couldn’t sleep. So much noise, music, people… there’s a party right down the building. There’s no parking available how says here, you need to pay for it. The staff is super cute and amazing, the room was ok, I liked that have a private bathroom (I stayed at a 4bed woman), the bad is not the best but even if it was, I couldn’t sleep because the noise. If you’re traveling for party, I think it’s ok, if not, don’t stay here.

Sadly the pictures don't match with what I got, I had DRY BLOOD on my sheets, very bad isolation on the rooms, no ladder to get up on the bed so if you're tiny good luck getting up there. Very disappointed. There are 2 types of hostels; and even if the location is absolutely perfect, I can't say this is a good one. Pretty expensive for what you get, save yourself sometimes and look elsewhere !

The location of the hostel was very nice - right on Venice beach! It could get a little loud at night with people outside playing music but it's to be expected when you're so close to the beach. I had an amazing stay!!! First time in a dorm setting and loved it. Still slept great and was so close to the beach and restaurants! I would definitely recommend this place and can see myself booking again in the future!

I rented room 316. The room is modern and everything worked perfectly in the room. Plenty of fast hot water for the shower. Check in/out persons were very nice. All of the other persons renting rooms, I met walking up/down the stairs and in the breakfast area, were extremely friendly. Samesun is a totally FUN place to rent a room. I plan to rent a room again in the future.

Rented room 301. The room was simply outstanding and very modern. Room had a window over looking the Venice Beach boardwalk. I really enjoyed my stay at the Samesun Venice Beach - Hostel. Plan to rent a room again, when I visit Venice Beach again.

Didn’t like anything about that place I’ve never felt so mistreated misheard and mis understood! Front desk Gus was rude lazy and paid no attention to my requests and complaints, non working fan, no screen on window, heater didn’t work, no towels, complimentary soap to wash our hands none, no air conditioning, I will be letting my work friends, personal friends, and entire family to stay away from that hotel. Was so surprised and appreciated that there was toiletry and a limited free breakfast..

Bring your shower shoes. This is my first trip staying at a hostel. It was on my bucket list lol and this location was so fabulous. I could not pass it up. Overall, the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. Bedding was clean. Breakfast was decent. Bathroom and showers are shared so bring your shower shoes and you will be good to go. If you happen to be staying here on a Sunday at sundown, I step outside to see the electric light parade of bikes lit up and music blasting it is quite spectacle.

Place was amazing! great staff they maintained a safe environment while makeing everyone feel comfortable and welcome! A few people usually meet up at lounge area and go do activities together definitely a great place to meet friends and members of opposite sex. I had an amazing time and left with new amazing friends! Fresh breakfast every morning! Best hostle experience by far!
