Clean! Friendly staff! Relaxing. Conveniently located. Deck over the canal/bay offers loungers, tables & umbrellas. We had a light breeze with no bugs! Watched boats, fish & dolphins right close. Highly recommended!

Owners and staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and everything worked great. Great wifi in each room. Being on the water is very relaxing and their deck area is fantastic, especially if you like to fish or just watch nature.

This motel has a great dock area adjacent to the pool. There are chairs and tables. Fishing is allowed. The deluxe king was large with an updated bathroom and small balcony. There are a couple places to eat in walking distance. I think it was a good value.

The boathouse is charming and convenient. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of where we currently live. You could even rent a boat for the week and docket at the motel, which makes it very convenient. I will definitely be staying there again.

Everything was great! Nice decor, very clean, great bed, luxurious towels, friendly staff, parking right in front of building, nice outdoor pool.

Wasnt aware of hurricane damage by pool/deck. Small pool area. Very quaint, and comfortable!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It has so many amenities that chain hotels neglect to include- real coffee mugs, a comfy seating area, fridge and freezer, space to eat, multiple pillow types, ample closet space, reliable internet…plus there is a charming outdoor mall with cute shops just steps away. We can’t wait to stay here again. Staff was very friendly too!

The rooms were very clean and roomy. The parking was free and you could walk to several restaurants. Family owned business. Great place to stay.

The rooms were kept nice and clean. There was no elevators to get to the 2nd floor. It wasn't an issue for us but if you have issues with stairs I recommend asking for a 1st floor room. The staff was friendly and was in walking distance of a couple great places to eat!

We greatly enjoyed the Boathouse. Our unit was roomy and well appointed. My favourite aspect was the common outdoor space on the water. Spending time on the large patio/dock relaxing, cooling off in the pool and watching boats and wildlife was so lovely. I highly recommend.

I booked The Boat House through hotels.com based on the ratings and because the site stat no pets, (exception made for service animals), taking into account my daughter\'s dander/mold allergies/asthma. After booking, I saw the Boat House mentioned "ALL PETS WELCOME!" I left a message for The Boat House, stating my concern and wishing to cancel due to health concerns. They never returned my call, so through repeated attempts, someone finally answered and I was told they would not allow me to cancel, no pets have been on the bed we would be in, and there would be no pet smells in the room. Clearly she does not understanding how pet dander allergies work. Because I couldn\'t afford to lose the $1,200 for 3 nights, my daughter and I arrived in good faith, only to be greeted with an overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals. We settled in, sitting on top of the bed covers to watch tv and unwind after having been awake for 21 hours due to travel. We opened the back door and turned the fan on high to air out the overbearing smell, but as time went on, my daughter\'s breathing was becoming labored and she felt like her throat was closing up. I pulled back the covers and smelled the sheets, which reeked of toxic chemical fragrance. Having only been in the room for less than 2 hours, I knocked on the property manager\'s door to let them know we could not stay in that room, as the fumes were overwhelming. We had to pack up all our things and quickly find another hotel 25 miles away.

This might be the cutest and cleanest old Florida hotel we stayed in our entire 3 week trip and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or kind. My only regret is that we only spent one night. I can't wait to spend more time there.

The property was clean. But everything we might need was in the room. An older property, but no issues. The price was perfect particularly for a one night stay especially great for fisherman. The check-in process was easy and Melanie was very pleasant. Our only criticism would be that there was a very strong Lysol-like odor. I assume it is being used as a disinfectant. However, waybtoo much is being used and the scent is not pleasant and it never dissipated. Same odor in the check-in area.

Stayed 3 nights & had a blast! Comfortable, clean, quiet, convenient to restaurants & beaches! We shall return!

Sand fleas in the bed and on furniture. Floor was not clean. The air conditioner is noisy coming on and off. Kept waking us up! After the first night they moved us to a different room that was much better except for the noisy AC. The location on the water is nice and the deck is really nice.

If you like old Florida you may like this place, but it is ancient. Mold in the bathroom, ants in the bathroom sink, loud appliances, TV that wouldn’t completely shut off so there was a lot of light all night. Plus there was no one there to check me in when I arrived even though I arrived during the specified window. Would never stay here again.

Clean and spacious room, easy parking, great value for Marco Island.

Great location and friendly staff. We had a room that had a very comfortable king bed but the queen bed was horrible so my sister and law and I ended up sharing the king bed. Had it been someone that wasn’t comfortable sharing or 2 couples then the queen bed would have been a real problem. It is an older motel and could use a little renovation however it is well maintained and clean.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. It was very roomy with 2 comfortable beds, 2 TVs, dining area with microwave and full size fridge. Check in and check out was a breeze and staff was very friendly. We saw dolphins from our deck.

Great location, clean and friendly service. My only complaint is they need blackout curtains. The room stays bright at night from the outside lights.

Great affordable option in a perfect part of the island and completely updated rooms, but a classic vintage hotel feel

The property is a throwback in time, which would be nice if it was properly maintained and appointed. The kitchenette has no sink (so, washing dishes and getting drinking water in the bathroom). The screen door to the small balcony needs maintenance and the small balcony needs a chair or two (though it doesn’t feel very sturdy, so maybe that’s why there aren’t chairs). There are no convenient hooks for towels and wash cloths in the bathroom. The main bedroom has two small bedside lights but it really needs at least one overhead or bright stand light to be able to see after dark. There are two televisions mounted to the wall with a few feet of one another, so it’s not possible to have them both used simultaneously. The air conditioner sounds like someone scrubbing the floor with a Brillo pad when it’s running. There is no recycling. The drain cover in the tub is loose. The staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly.

Room was and felt very clean, big space with kitchen area a dining table and even a small porch. This stay exceeded our expectations. We arrived late to check in but the staff made it extremely easy and smooth to arrive. 10/10!

The office closes at 4pm so check in is a bit confusing. The place has “been around” but is clean and quiet. All in just what I needed

We liked that it was in a very walkable area. We enjoyed the patio area and the view. Had very loud people next to us but my husband called the management the second night and they took care of it immediately. Workers started Jack-hammering at 8, which I thought was pretty early Overall, a good stay

We booked a last-minute one night stay at this motel, and the location was perfect for our needs. The room was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Parking was free, and coffee was available in the room (this is huge for me!). Office hours are limited, which is understandable because this is a family business, so we checked in/out outside of office hours. Although we didn't interact with staff in person (only once by phone), the key and detailed instructions were readily available and we had no issues!

We staycationed here one night for a quick weekend getaway. Everything was as described. The room was clean, fresh, spacious, and had everything we needed (they did inform us beforehand that we would need to bring our own toiletries). We were within walking distance to the Snook Inn where we had dinner and drinks. We came back around sunset and enjoyed the spacious rear deck where there are fishing poles available and even cut/wash stations for guests! Such a charming, cozy, tropical hideaway off the beaten path. We highly recommend The Boat House.

Excellent location with several small restaurants within walking distance. Clean, spacious with a king bed, small table, plates, silverware, ample towels; they seemed to think of everything a guest might need. I would definitely stay here again.
