We love this place (my family and I ) and are regulars at this point whenever we visit LA, but there’s some ongoing things I noticed that I would change. 1: closing the pool at 7 or 8pm is a bummer —it’s really fun to night swim, it doesn’t have to be open for all night parties but 10pm seems reasonable and it’s what a lot of hotels do. Also, last call at the bar was 10p, maybe 11 or midnight would be better. There’s a boutique party vibe to this place but the party was ending quickly this time. 2: There are clearly always children here so a kids menu would be great, PLEASE!-so much less food waste that way! 3: I saw a lot of signs of the hotel slipping—black tape holding our window shut, our tv did not work, their “custom” box water replaced with plastic bottles midway through stay, shorter hours in the restaurants or restaurants not open at all. It’s good deal for what it is but always has been, and these signs are only recent. The exorbitant “resort fee” should cover things like this. I hope you’re doing okay hotel fig, we love you but the changes I noticed have me a little hesitant about returning again.

This is a historic hotel (1926) updated very tastefully to preserve the character of the building and the period and it has an amazing vibe. We booked one of the rooms with two queen beds. It was surprisingly spacious for an older hotel. The beds and pillows were nice and the bathroom was tastefully updated. We enjoyed the lightly heated pool. It is great for adults but maybe not for young kids because the shallow end starts at 4 ft deep and extends only a couple of yards. The pool area felt like an oasis and we didn't hear the traffic. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast in Cafe Fig. They also have a beautiful dinner restaurant called Deme overlooking the pool which we hope to try another time. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the Crypto arena and convention center so super convenient if you attend a concert like we did.

Loved the location in relation to the convention center and Crypto arena. Unfortunately one of the two elevators went down making things difficult - especially being on the 11th floor. Beautiful old hotel. It reminded me of old Hollywood. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We loved every minute spent in the hotel, the staff very friendly and understanding. We plan to go back and our stay will be at Figueroa Hotel.

Very nice charming and glad service team. Clean rooms, bathrooms (room and common areas). Hotel Decoration is superb on any aspect, elevators, floors, pool, bars etc. Honestly my party of 4 were positive surprised with how he Figueroa experience.

Hotel is beautiful. Lots of art and updated features. We did have a problem with our window shades, and the shower and sink didn’t drain very well and drains smelled. Staff were nice though. Our room wasn’t cleaned the last day we were there, so we didn’t get our $30 worth of boxed water, but cleaning before was very thorough. Would stay again. Neighborhood was near ghetto, but was safe. We walked to a couple places at night, never felt unsafe. Generally a good stay.

I would have given this five stars but for two issues. One, know that your room might be very small. The building is old and has so much charm and beauty! But the tradeoff for that in our room was that the frosted glass door for the bathroom was right at the foot of the bed. So when it was dark and one person turned on the light in the bathroom, the light was right in the other person's face in the bed, even though the door was closed. Second, we were quite disappointed that on night one, our bedding felt cold and damp, like it had come out of a dryer too soon. We checked in very late at night and were just too tired to complain and wait for this to be fixed, so we slept in a damp, cold bed that night (night two was perfectly comfortable). I didn't say anything until checkout and received only an apology (I did not ask for more). But everything else about my experience here tells me they would have jumped to fix it if I had spoken up sooner. Overall, I would stay here again. We also enjoyed Cafe Fig in the hotel. I have also stayed at another nearby hotel with comparable pricing, and the staff at Cafe Fig was noticably more warm and approachable.

The staff from top to bottom was great. Hotel was clean, well organized and convenient to many activities. Unfortunately, the assigned room was the size of a broom closet -- hitting shins just trying to move around. No dresser drawers, no table. They were kind enough to bring up a small fridge-- we had to put it in the closet!

When you’re paying almost $500 a night, you expect there to be more than a dingy lamp, that’s far from the door, to light the entire room. The room was cramped, had no sound barrier between it in the hallway, and there wasn’t even a proper bathroom door. Poor value. The only reason to stay here is the convenient location and the amazing shared space on the ground floor, which is beautiful, and well suited to working in. That said, if you want a good cup of coffee there? Don’t bother.

This hotel is very comfortable with watm decor throughout. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The one downside was the bathroom. We had a standard king room, and the bathroom has no storage for Toiletries. I suggest a small shelf at the very least.

I recently stayed at Figueroa Hotel located in downtown LA. The location is undeniably convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The building itself is nice, and the room I stayed in was spacious. However, my experience was impacted by a significant issue: the in-room A/C was broken, and they had placed a portable A/C unit inside. This really ruined the ambience of the room. The exhaust was vented through the window using a large steel plate that covered half of the view, which felt clunky and out of place. Inconvenient times and rude staff. No proper welcome or information provided at check in, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Check in area is filled with flies. Website says bar is open until 10pm, was told very rudely that bar was closed when we went for a drink at 9:30. The valet staff were very nice and efficient. Overall hotel was overpriced and with an additional 40$ tacked onto our bill for visitor fee. Most hotels will include dinning credits or daily ‘free’ drinks to make up for this inconvenient and unnecessary fee. Our 2 weeks in California were amazing with great accommodations and friendly people, until our stay at this hotel unfortunately.

The Hotel Figueroa in downtown LA will be our go to hotel whenever we are back in the area. Its central location makes it easy to get to wherever you need to go in the greater LA area. It is a short walking distance from some of the best eating venues in the city. The staff is the best from parking the car literally next door to moving us quickly to another guest room for AC issues. We highly recommend a suite room for extra space. And, if you are in LA during a small earthquake, like we were, you are in a sound building structure. Even on a higher floor, just a slight creek and almost undetectable movement! Congrats to your architect, engineers, and staff. Thanks for a memorable stay!

This was a junior suite. We added a day for the night before (last minute) in a 2 double bed room (also 5 stars). I give 5 stars as a thank you to the staff. When I was checking out, the woman at the front desk asked how my stay was. I was very honest about noise throughout the night - she said there was some type of project happening on my floor in the area at the time and refunded one of my fees. That level of customer service reinforced how really awesome this place is for this area. Coming back - 100% (kiddo loved the pool)

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY IF YOU ARE A YOUNG FEMALE. I MEAN IT. This property scammed me out of $750 for a one night stay, and will not respond to any of my calls or messages. My friends arrived at the property without me around 2pm last week, I had called ahead the day before and had my friends name put on the reservation so she could check in while I picked up our rental vehicle. Upon arrival she was immediately told she was unable to check in without me present. Weird but okay. Fine. We check in and all is well, we are maybe in the room for an hour or 2. We are then out for the rest of the night only back to sleep and check out at 12. Upon checking out I was not questioned or informed that I would not be receiving my deposit back, nor the fact that we had allegedly smoked in the room which was another $500 charge. The man at the desk was kind and asked if I wanted a copy of my receipt. I said emailed, we left. No problems. I finally checked my statements on monday, to see a $980 charge. I looked for the receipt I was supposed to be emailed and it was no where to be found. I had to manually visit the Hyatt site to find my itemized receipt and see where the $750 was coming from. Furthermore, no one in my party is a smoker? I have called 3 times and left 2 voice mails, all of which is being ignored. I stay in 20 hotels a year and never have I been treated like this. I have disputed the charges with my bank, what a god awful property. SCAMMERS!!!!!!

The hotel is perfect for location if you are attending anything at Crypto.com arena. Very walkable to LA Live. Hotel felt secure, looked well kept and had nice decor overall. With many hotels nowadays they did have a lot of fees and deposits, but it’s expected in many hotels like LA. Overall I would stay again if needing to stay overnight for an event in downtown

From the very moment I walked up to the building, the staff were friendly and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable! And it was so close to the convention center and Crypto Arena, as well as a short walk from the metro stop. If I ever come back to LA, I will stay here! Even if I'm not going to the convention center or arena, I will book a room here!

Great stay at the Fig! We enjoyed our four night stay & got to try out all the restaurants & the bar. Had lots of tasty food & drink, amazing service (everyone was super nice) & even had a pool day, which was so lovely on a December day. Liked the amenities upgrade to the citrus forward Banho Claus Porto toiletries. They give you little lotions & soap, and the shower has large refilled bottles of shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. We appreciated the empty fridge for our leftovers & tasty espresso with a convenient machine in the room. Also had tasty self serve coffee in the lobby every morning until 11am (or later). Beautiful space & comfy bed = happy travelers. A few notes: bring ear plugs for street noise if you’re a light sleeper like me, and the drapes weren’t blackout, so might need a sleep mask & make sure you don’t have an adjoining room for quiet. We could hear every word & giggle from our neighbors the first few nights, but thankfully they were quiet at night. There aren’t any robes or slippers, which was fine by us, but just an FYI. Can’t wait to get back for another wonderful stay.

The artwork and art books around the lounge were exceptionally nice. The background music in that area was sort of loud. Deme was also very loud. The food at Deme was delicious and beautifully presented, and the pool courtyard lovely. The staff was very nice and friendly.
