Had a good stay. Easy access to beach and restaurants. Pool area could use update. Needs more chairs an shad, Staff works hard to keep clean.

Quiet & close to everything but away from all the congestion. Pool was refreshing & enjoyed the fireplace.

This motel is a safe, quiet place to stay within miles of Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island. The pool is very clean, and we enjoyed that amenity very much. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The King-sized bed was very soft and uneven, and that was difficult on our backs. Furnishing is sparse. One bedside table with a very dim light, or bright ceiling lights. On the other side of the bed was a refrigerator with a freezer unit and a coffee maker. Nice-- but not convenient for the person sleeping on that side, as no place to put glasses, a book, etcetera. The bathroom needs work. The toilet was "shimmed" in place with wood, the "step-in" shower was only about 2" deep, and the shower curtain didn't reach down, so there was inevitably a wet, slippery bathroom floor after every shower. Parking right outside the door -- ice available to purchase by the bag -- close to dining and shopping (and of course the beach) I've stayed here many times over the years, and these were new owners to me -- but I like all of the landscaping, picnic tables, grills, etc., they've added to the property. We will definitely stay there again but will ask for perhaps a queen bed or two double beds that are not so back-achingly soft. I don't know how long these owners have had the property, as it's been some time since we had a chance to get to Rhode Island. I wish them well and fully expect the room "glitches" will be upgraded, most likely off-season.

“Pool view” room we paid for was overlooking a parking lot as were other rooms. Not a view you’d want to look out at. The pool was across the parking lot. We saw an old pair of socks and T shirt adjacent to chairs, like no one was caring for the pool deck. Looked like they were there for a while. It was the only place we could find and we had to be in that area, but paid over $750 for 2 night stay in what was truly just a motel. It was clean enough but sparse. No hair dryer. No clock. Not even a continental breakfast at that price. Bed was comfortable though. Location right on Post Road was convenient. Overall, we were disappointed at what we got, or did not get, for the steep price. Definitely overpriced.

The staff is great, the grounds are wonderfully quaint with a little waterfall and and fish! Not for everyone, but, I love this place! Always affordable, always clean, and everyone is always respectful and welcoming!

Looks like owners had put some real work into a small outside area. I had nice picnic tabla, a fire pit, and a beautiful waterfall river. But lots of half done areas accessible and visable, felt unsafe. And as a dog friendly hotel, there was no real area for the dogs other than right by the road. Not ideal. Would stay again for the price, but would NOT recommend for a family vacation.

We enjoyed the pool immensely. It was sparkling clean and nicely located in the sun. We went for a night swim and it was lit up with different colors. The shower and tv in the room were nice. Room included a mini frig, micro and mini coffee maker. A better brand of coffee and larger coffee maker would have been good but I brought my own coffee. The make up removing wipes were a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioner nice and cold. Curtains kept out light. My party slept well. my kids played wiffle ball in this beautiful grassy area. Price was right for the rooms and drove to the state beach each day. No issues except a small leak when there was a torrential downpour one night.

It was wonderful. Is a fireplace a goldfish pond and very beautiful grounds. The pool was delightful. I truly enjoyed our stay..great tv. Owners were friendly and helpful..we ate a Havershams.. delicious and was highly recommend

Very nice staff. Clean rooms no one being too loud or bothering you, respectful guests. Would absolutely stay again!!

Sheets were dirty and the bed was sandy

Everything was clean, loved the pool area, kept very clean, they could use more loungers. Away from all the hustle and bustle of the beach but close to it all

Some updates and new finishes but poorly done. Stains on bedding and towels. It is clear that effort is lacking in rooms. Landscaping did appear to be very nice.

The room was so dirty we did not stay our second night. Bed sheets all were stained, stains on floor, bugs everywhere, brown stuff dripping from ceiling in bathroom. Very unhappy.

The hotel itself is pleasant. Nights were quiet and the pool was never crowded. The room was clean when we arrived and housekeeping the next morning was fantastic complete with nicely folded towels and mints on the bed. After the first day housekeeping services went downhill. I accidentally spilled ketchup on the sheet and it was never changed. I had to ask for towels every other day and the bathroom was never touched there was sand in the shower that remained there when we left. The floors were laminate and covered with sand and general debris from going in and out and they were never swept. I try to be accommodating for the house keeping staff by putting the trash all together and they would empty the trash and leave no bags to replace the ones they took. I tipped them every day in hopes of them stepping it up a little because I know everyone is over worked but they really didn’t do much to help keep our room clean and we were there for 7 days.

Spacious internally and externally. Tranquil and quiet. Pool facility was enjoyable. I didn’t like that insects were in the room.

The room needed updating on the furniture. The room was located facing the road so we had to deal with traffic’s noise. The room was adjacent to their storage are and in the mornings workers went in the area and they were loud enough we could here them in our room.

This place is a gem! It's small, private, quiet, and suited our purposes very well. The bathroom was updated and pristine, and the bedding and linens were fresh and comfortable. We were there mid-October and the pool was closed, but the pool area and grounds were charming. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The only reason to ding it -- and I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could - is the wifi connection. It worked sometimes, but I often work while I travel and it wasn't reliable enough for that. Sometimes it took 4 or more tries to log on and forever to buffer; the second night when there were more patrons, I just couldn't log on. If you don't need wifi, it's perfect.

It was a solo getaway so wasnt looking for anything special. Room with king bed was simple. Bathroom nicely updated. Disappointed that even though the place was pretty much deserted, they put someone in the room right next to me. People in the room were loud and immediately started smoking pot which smell came through to my bathroom. Luckily, they were only there the one night. No hairdryer in my bathroom. But overall, happy with stay But

Room 111 :The TV did not work . I did not sleep well because he heating /ac unit was very loud . the exterior was door did not close will and had a gap that let the cold air in .

The room was clean and appreciated not carpeting in the room but the ac unit needs an update. Feeling of added humidity to the room throughout the night.

This is a very basic motel experience. It was clean and no frills. Basic bed and bathroom. I only needed it to sleep so it was fine. The TV was a mystery. When I asked the front desk she said I had to unplug and then plug it back in every time I wanted to use it. This worked but was a pain in the ass and really should be fixed.

Very comfortable stay for the Rhythm & Roots Festival 10 minutes away. We alerted Aquastar Inn that we were arriving late at night, so they have a great system with a lock-box for after-hours check-in to get your key - and they texted the instructions and room number hours before our arrival. Did not use the pool, but it looked nice. Got a nice breakfast about 2 minutes up the road at Sunny Side Up.

Wonderful stay. Close to everything nearby especially beaches and Watch Hill which was so convenient. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Rooms are simple and clean. Only downside they have is a 3:00 check out then proceeded to call me 3 times while I was at the beach with my family asking if we could basically hurry up and get back sooner. I feel one call was sufficient. When I said wee would be out by 3:00 as told that should have been the last call. No need to bother people when they are on vacation with their family. This wouldn’t change my opinion on staying here o just felt it was rude and made me feel rushed on our last day.

For starters. In the day we were to check in I called At about 8:30 that morning to ask about an early check in. The posted check in time was 2:00. I was told I would get a call back regarding it. At about 10:45 I got a call from the motel and they informed me that they had my room ready and if I wanted to check in early it would be an additional $25. I’ve stayed at motels and hotels with some frequency and this was a first. Actually I was coming from a hotel where I got an early check in at no additional cost. We requested payment at time of check in when we made the reservation. They ran the card we used to secure our booking hours prior to check in. When we got there reception told us that’s what they do with all reservations. The reservation was for 2 people. The room was tiny, about 200 sq ft. but clean and the pool looked well kept. There was only a shower, no tub. We got 2 bath towels consequently first thing the next morning we hooked up with housekeeping, which was the bright spot of our stay, and she took care of us. When I went to look for ice I found a locked ice cooler behind the office with the price of ice posted on it. Needless to say even though we travel to this area frequently we will no be staying here again.

Upon check-in we needed to change rooms and they were very accommodating. Nice room, comfortable beds and a beautiful looking pool. Unfortunately, it started raining shortly after our arrival and into the next day so we never got to enjoy the pool 😕

Quiet spot a couple miles away from the beaches clean well maintained .mattress could be a little better but not horrible . staff excellent sunshine was great

The room quality and cleanliness was exceptional; the beds are very comfortable. The location of the Aquastar is ideal and easy to find.

The property is next to the airport and on a busy road, therefore noisy. Nothing for breakfast, just a coffee machine. I did not find the grounds very appealing but it’s a nice clean place and 10 minute drive to the ocean and downtown Westerly, which was very charming.

Deluxe room was newly updated and clean. Conveniently located not far from the beach. Reasonable price

Great location near to all routes highway and main roads we love westerly downtown, also Charlestown, south Kingston , matunak and finally we went to the ferry to block Island .great location. The only down part out room wasn't clean or detailed.. we were able to solved it the manager in charge that day tele care of it .... Family friendly

There is an amazing little breakfast spot down the road called Sunny Side Up, which was delicious and close to the hotel.

Nice motel, clean with a pool. Not many restaurants around.

Convenient location to beach , golf and restaurant (Nordic). Pool was great to hang bye. Would recommend a stay there
