The Tribute was the best course I've plated. The hills make for a picture perfect scenery. Very large swimming pool...not heated though. All in all a great place to visit and play golf !!

Very difficult to find where you check in at. Large geographical area within a golf course and condos. Couldn’t find the signs where to check in. The rooms where in a building where anybody can go in and out of. That was concerning for security reasons. The bed was comfortable, but the bath area although clean, was very outdated. When I asked if I could stay 1 extra hour past the check out time, she confirmed nobody is checking into that room later, but wanted to charge me $40.00 for 1 extra hour.

Otsego is great! Staff is friendly. Such a cool little slice of heaven! Outdoor firepits, giant indoor fireplaces in the ski lodge, beautiful views of the slopes from the restaurant. We stayed in the loft rooms this time. Super cute!

I was up here to play in a golf outing. The course is amazing, beautiful views and terrain. the location is great, only a few miles at most from downtown, My rooms, and the grounds haven't been updated in decades. It was very clean, and I felt comfortable. I have to say, my bed was super comfortable and the sheets were very soft. For the price, I was very happy.

This is a good property that, especially in the winter time, will provide plenty of entertainment for those who are skiers. However, the property looks run down, with chipped painting on the outside of it's lodges. The main building doesn't have convenient parking and isn't well marked as to what is the golf pro shop and what is the overnight lodging check-in. With some maintenance/upkeep - this can be a very good resort that will compete with Treetops and other northern Michigan facilities.

It is a beautiful location!! The views are amazing. I was traveling with a pet so in order to accommodate that, I could not get the Expedia rate. I actually paid $100 more. They have special rooms for pets and I guess they don’t think your room should be nice when traveling with one. One bed sagged so bad it was hard to get in and out of. We killed numerous spiders and there were other bugs flying around. The building needs a paint job. The paint is pealing and flaking. I was very disappointed in the overall condition of the place.

This is a beautiful property. The buildings are older, but well kept and charming. We did have some loud neighbors, but that’s why I travel with earplugs. The only reason I gave less than 5 stars is because the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped and the air conditioner was very, very dirty. While trying to figure out why it wasn’t blowing the coldest air I could see food, a thick layer of dust, and some random screws on the inside ledge of the unit. I woke up with sinus issues and a puffy face from the air quality. Otherwise, the beds were super comfortable, the views were amazing, the water pressure was great. I would love to stay there again, but the air conditioner issue makes that impossible for me.

The room was horrendous, black spider widow in the dirty bathroom, linens were not cleaned and looked used. The safety latch on the door was broken. The overall condition of the room was poor and not cleaned at all, it’s as if they tried to make it look like they cleaned by reusing everything from the previous guest. When we complained they said we had to go through Expedia as this is how we booked.

This is a picturesque area with a quite surrounding. This property however, is beyond needing repairs. No sound barriers between rooms, few outlets, no rail on steps to loft, no ice machine, no buffet breakfast or any food for that matter and just overall run down. This could be a beautiful place if repairs would be made.

This place was totally amazing. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. With all of the “corporate” one-size fits all hotels out there, it was a refreshing throwback with all of the personality without being “funky”. LOVED IT! Would be a great place to go with a family or group to enjoy golf, skiing and just plain good old fashioned relaxation!

Golf course looked nice. Would have liked to have had time to play. Close to the downtown area for shopping and dining. Would like to come back to play golf or ski. Only an hour from Mackinaw

The location was perfect. The neighbors however, were beyond extremely loud and disruptive. There must have been 12 to 20 young men next door, constantly coming in and out and very loudly slamming the door, music extremely loud as well as their shouting and yelling voices. After waiting 30 minutes to maybe quieting down, I called the front desk. 40 minutes later the maintenance man knocked on their door, telling them there were too many in the room, quiet down and turn down the loud music. About 20 minutes later it did become somewhat peaceful.

Friendly staff, excellent food. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The room we stayed in could use a bit of updating (replace broken floor tiles in the bathroom, new carpet in room, some cosmetic updates). Otherwise it was a beautiful place to stay!

Bait and switch! Reserved King rooms (2) got rooms with 2 beds each. Wasn’t told about this at checkin. Desk was closed by the time we finished dinner at their restaurant. Contacted Travelocity and they tried to contact manager several times, no call back. Color tour for party of 6 and dinner for party of 7 was great. Cement walkway to rooms is a hazard at night. Rooms are dated and hallways are rough looking. Hotel begs you to leave good review at checkin. Had issue with key, didn’t get to see room until after desk was closed for the night.

Was not notified of additional charge for pack and play when I emailed them prior to stay, nor at check in when I requested. Went to bar to get apps and drinks in evening, (duck blind) a 2 tables with group of guys other tables empty, sat for at least 30 minutes and no one ever came to take our order. The grounds are beautiful and so clean. Conveniently located to town. My only complaint is that we asked for an extended checkout and the maid service banged on the door shortly before regular checkout, waking us up. Then someone walked in over an hour before we were to check out. In addition my husband asked about the restaurant on site and the kids (very young girls) behind the desk said they were closed that day. They were actually open for dinner. Again the grounds were very pretty and clean, but the staff left a bit to be desired.

We liked they notified us that our room was ready early. Also, we got a great room and loved getting a recliner chair and spacious bathroom. The grounds are spectacular, the views outstanding, the food and drink excellent and the staff friendly and genuine.

We did not end up staying. The first room was overpowering air freshener and husband was stung by wasp with nest above the door. They gave us second room and the door broke. Did not feel secure. Asked for a refund and only gave us credit for 1 night. Not happy. But the receptionist was nice. Not her fault and she tried to help us. Never did speak to the manager even after multiple trys.

The room was clean and the front desk service was good. The thermostat seemed to be non-functional, we had to plug in a wall heater and it ran all night to warm up the room. The buildings were just worn out. The paint was chipped, the cement steps were broken, the wooden steps were worn down. The location was good, just outside Gaylord. It had a golf course and ski runs which we didnt use. If you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night it will be okay just keep your expectations in check.

Very difficult to find where you check in at. Large geographical area within a golf course and condos. Couldn’t find the signs where to check in. The rooms where in a building where anybody can go in and out of. That was concerning for security reasons. The bed was comfortable, but the bath area although clean, was very outdated. When I asked if I could stay 1 extra hour past the check out time, she confirmed nobody is checking into that room later, but wanted to charge me $40.00 for 1 extra hour.

I was up here to play in a golf outing. The course is amazing, beautiful views and terrain. the location is great, only a few miles at most from downtown, My rooms, and the grounds haven't been updated in decades. It was very clean, and I felt comfortable. I have to say, my bed was super comfortable and the sheets were very soft. For the price, I was very happy.

The location is absolutely gorgeous! The main lodge, bar and restaurant are stunning. Good (expensive) food and drinks. We stayed at the Blue Spruce Lodge. Although clean, VERY outdated. It had an 80's grandma vibe. Some of the other lodges looked updated from the outside, but ours was peeling paint all over the outside and had rotton wood. Bed and pillow were as old as the room, but ok. Would stay again, but in one of the other lodges for sure.

This is a good property that, especially in the winter time, will provide plenty of entertainment for those who are skiers. However, the property looks run down, with chipped painting on the outside of it's lodges. The main building doesn't have convenient parking and isn't well marked as to what is the golf pro shop and what is the overnight lodging check-in. With some maintenance/upkeep - this can be a very good resort that will compete with Treetops and other northern Michigan facilities.

This property has so much potential. You walk in to a grand entry with huge windows overlooking the changing leaves over the ski hills, but there were no lights on and the windows were filthy. We ate at the Duck Blind restrestaurant. They didn't have a table ready by the windows and tried to sit us in the dark corner. When a few guests left, we asked for their table. They cleaned it off and gave it to someone else. So we just sat at the bar. We ordered the boneless chicken wings. They came out looking like a cheap bage of Tyson chicken nuggets. When we paid for our meal we did not leave a tip. We later checked our card and found a $16 added charge. This place was a terrible experience to our beautiful weekend. What a shame. We are at trestrestaurant

Friendly staff, excellent food. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The room we stayed in could use a bit of updating (replace broken floor tiles in the bathroom, new carpet in room, some cosmetic updates). Otherwise it was a beautiful place to stay!

Was not notified of additional charge for pack and play when I emailed them prior to stay, nor at check in when I requested. Went to bar to get apps and drinks in evening, (duck blind) a 2 tables with group of guys other tables empty, sat for at least 30 minutes and no one ever came to take our order. We ended up walking out

Older resort but has a lot of charm. Because it's older the lobby has that older smell to it when you walk in. Parts could be updated to some of the buildings. We rented an economy room with twin beds and a bunker up top in the Lodge building. The room was clean and cozy with comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom, table and TV with mini fridge and coffee maker and closet with ironing board . The grounds and view were gorgeous. We ate at the main restaurant and it had a cozy feel and pretty good food overall. We would for sure stay again.

Amazing experience even though it was only for 1 night. The view from the Duck Blind restaurant is gorgeous. Our room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I used to live in Gaylord, but I have never had the privilege of staying at the resort until last month.

Otsego is great! Staff is friendly. Such a cool little slice of heaven! Outdoor firepits, giant indoor fireplaces in the ski lodge, beautiful views of the slopes from the restaurant. We stayed in the loft rooms this time. Super cute!

We were put in a terrible building that was being refinished looked like it should have been torn down. Our room was filthy!!!!! Carpet filthy!!!! Ordered a burger from restaurant wasn't edible. It was nothing like we saw online.

Pros: Staff was kind and helpful. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Cons: Rooms and lounge are starting to get run down. Room was dusty/ dirty with cobwebs and stains. Comforters were lumpy. Pool is closed for the summer. Smell outside from the smoking lounge was aweful. Smoke alarm was torn off the wall in the room. Conditioner dispenser didn’t work in shower.
