The air conditioner quit working, the coffee maker in the room didn’t work and the elevator quit working. Electrical issues. I called the front desk twice and no one answered. I reported to front desk, Beatrice, and she refunded the parking but couldn’t refund to hotels.com nor Expedia. I’d like a refund. Your customer service number nor email customer.service email is working.

Very unique hotel. Waterfront on the Harbor. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops in the historic area of Galveston. Long term parking for cruise passengers and free shuttle to cruise terminal.

With what they charge for a room they shouldn’t be charging you $15 to park your car.

Nice and clean hotel. Safe and secure parking. Within walking distance of shopping and places to eat! Only thing I didn’t like was having to pay an additional 16.24 for parking in the hotel lot.

Stayed here day before a cruise the staff was so helpful and friendly the property is clean and rooms very spacious the parking for the cruise was also very convenient!

Good location for the cruise terminal, it’s walkable but not great with lots of luggage. The hotel had a bus pick up to terminal for $7 each person. Room was a bit worn but sufficient, bed was good, walls are thin so could be a bit noisy. Seafood restaurants and The Strand was nearby.

Great place to walk to shopping and restaurants. They also had complementary bikes you could ride. Great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

We found bed bugs but manager upgraded us to another hotel and took care of our cruise transfers. Plus refunded our money.

For the price of the room I expected a clean room and some more recent updates to the facility. The air conditioning unit was so dirty you could see a thick layer of dust through the vent. The area around the windows and the bathroom door was sloppily repaired (simply painted over). The faucet in the sink and shower were corroded and were unclean. The tissue holder was chipped. There was what appeared to be mold around the bathroom mirror. For > $300/night I was really disappointed and would not stay there again.

We discovered bed bugs in our room. Thankfully we had not opened our luggage. Once found, management quickly moved us to a different room- but for my own sanity I needed to medicate myself to sleep with Benadryl.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and nice location.

Room wasn't very clean, night desk attendant seemed super annoyed with any interaction or question, bathroom sink had trouble draining, there was an ice bucket but couldn't find the ice machine

Excellent location for an overnight stay for a cruise. You can park your car during the cruise at minimal cost. Reasonable shuttle cost to port, however close enough to walk. Front desk staff friendly. Negatives: front desk didn’t respond to multiple complaints about moisture in the room. All bedding was damp, rug was damp and the floor had a constant state of moisture. Almost fell multiple times. Shower nozzle moldy and overall general moisture damage to many fixtures in the room.

The location was perfect. The property smelled like mildew.

Everything was great except the Air Conditioner in our room rattled all the time, and it was loud. It was way too hot to turn it off, so we stuffed our ears with tissue and made do. However, the hotel was very nice otherwise and conveniently located near everything.

Room was great and the view of the harbor amazing! We loved watching the boats and dolphins. Dee provided excellent customer service. Only complaint was that the walls are thin and it's incredibly noisy. We will definitely be back!

TVs aren’t smart, air conditioning wasn’t great in that room

I do not recommend this place. We paid extra for a Harbor View. I can’t see any water unless I’m standing at the window that doesn’t open.

Someone checked into my hotel I called prior to my 2hr drive to make sure they had my reservation now they won’t refund my money n i wasn’t driving 2hrs to get my money either ill either dispute it or file charges on this hotel for allowing someone to check into my room n the front desk lady was extremely rude barely wanted to help. If you’re going to have an attitude do not work for customer service and do not work at night. The property is nice just wish for better out come

Great location and great hotel. Best part was the staff, we arrived very late with only the night staff present to check us in. He was so lovely and friendly which was really nice after a long travel day full of delays. Great eating and shopping just a short walk away. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was perfect along with the GREAT customer service provided by the sweetest staff member at the front desk, Dee! She makes the guest feel like family, 10/10 stay! :)

Awesome pre cruise Hotel next to the Cruise Terminal and the Strand District. Dee is one awesome Hostess

It was clean and close enough but I didn’t care for the man with earrings who worked there that night. Rave reviews of hospitality but I felt like I was bothering him to ask about the shuttle and crappy plumbing. The shuttle service is heavily advertised as a selling point of staying here so I wanted to know how that would work the next day he was like the terminal is just right there and pointed backwards. Ok. I checked in he asked for my debit card I told him I paid in full (my receipt didn’t mention a hold nor does the blurb on here but fine) but he was snarky like “yes we still need your card like any hotel” geez sue me I’m single, I’ve never cruised and I’ve been in traffic all day. I tried to just avoid him and prayed someone new was working when I departed. That person thank God was Ms. Dee sooo sweet and was asking me why I was trying to walk 7 BLOCKS when the shuttle could get me?! Geez I didn’t know smh. She immediately called Reggie (nice man) and in 10mins I was on my way. Traveling can be so awkward and it was my first cruise I was nervous and I felt the first guy just didn’t feel I was worth much thought. Dee and I are both black women so she understood I’m just trying to get where I need to go w as little hassle as possible. She’s a treat yall treat her well I would only stay again on her watch.

Dee at the front desk made this trip start off the best!! She went above and beyond to accommodate us making our stay the very best!!

Harbor House Hotel and Marina at Pier 21 is my go-to spot when cruising out of Galveston. The location is ideal, rooms are clean and fitting for the harbor setting, and the staff is always friendly. I was recently in a vehicle accident right before check-in, and the manager and team went above and beyond to accommodate me, helping me sort everything out so I didn’t miss my cruise. Their flexibility and compassion meant a lot. I’ve stayed here several times, and it's the great service, location, and fair rates that keep me coming back. Highly recommend!!

Close to everything and peaceful. If you’re hitting the strand or coming in early for a cruise it’s a great place to stay. Staff were all great and can’t beat being beside so many good places to eat and grab drinks.

This was our 3rd time staying at the harbor house. The location is excellent. Property is maintained very clean. Rooms are large, with views from every room. Highly recommended.

Four of us stayed here for two nights to enjoy Christmas scene downtown Galveston and we were very happy we chose this property. There is no better location than this one. It's a few minutes easy walk to downtown main area (the strand) and there are shops and restaurants all over. Even though we were close to downtown, it is very quite inside the hotel and that gave us a good night sleep. The breakfast is continental so don't expect too much. We knew it was continental so we were totally fine with it. It gave us enough energy until lunch! We definitely would come back here should we visit Galveston again.

Everything was ok. I was surprise to find out when I arrived that there was a $15.00 Parking charge if you park in the Hotel parking lot, however the Hotel do offer free bicycles to use which was outstanding. The room was large and nice, but the breakfast they offer was below average.

Staff was informative and helpful. Room was modern, clean and spacious. Breakfast area was small but they had plenty of options including waffles. Transportation to and from port was excellent

Room was clean & good size. En-suite well stocked. Breakfast was very disappointing. Individual serving pack of cereal. No hot options very limited choices & seating. Tables dirty & when they were cleaned they were wiped onto floor. Don’t book this hotel for the breakfast. Expensive for room only

We loved staying overnight before our cruise, only issue that I thought of was there was very little breakfast offered.Small fruit platter in plastic containers,hard boiled eggs,milk,juice,cereal and yogurt.Coffee but has no options for you to make hot tea in the morning. So that could have been better especially since the price is always higher for us cruisers the night before we sail away then goes way down when ships are not in port.

It’s definitely the place you want if you’re cruising. It’s close enough to shops and restaurants! Only complaint is the price you pay you’d think your parking would be included but it’s not. And a hot breakfast would’ve been nice to be offered. They had bagels, cereal, orange juice and coffee.

For the price point of this hotel the breakfast should be better. Everything else was good.

This was a great hotel. We stayed one night pre-cruise. Te arranged shuttle to the pier was wonderful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast provided was wonderful.
