The staff were great and inside the lobby/bar/pool area is nice. I did not realize when booking that some of the rooms had outside entry. It was raining when we arrived and got quite wet trying to get to our rooms. Also, there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage or older members of your party, as we did, you will want to request a room on the first floor.

Pros: Very clean, excellent service and helpful employees. Cons: The parking was pretty terrible as they had an event there. The AC made really strange noises when it kicks on and off. I had to put a sound machine app on my phone to drown it out.

Under construction but doing really great upgrades. Pool area is AWESOME! There wasn’t any breakfast despite being advertised. Staff was super sweet and gave us complimentary water. We will stay here again it was great!

Old but nice property in a quaint area of town with a decent golf course. Anthony’s is close by with great dining and Julep Room is a cool place for drinks before or after. We went right after a Hurricane hit, so the pool was a little murky, but I’m sure it’s cleaner other times of the year. They really did do a nice job with this property.

We enjoyed our one night stay. The room was clean, the coffee provided was very good. The only thing I didn’t like was the lighting in the room (room 141). It was extremely dark. Also, there was a private Mardi Gras ball the night we stayed so we were allowed to go to the lounge that afternoon. We would have liked to have known about the private party ahead of our visit. The beds were great. Toiletries smelled amazing. Overall the hotel really was a great place to stay.

We had such a great time!!! First time here - and we loved it! Very clean and loved the decor! The pool was amazing too! And the pool by the bar had a fun trivia night and the best Old Fashion ever! We had a great time! Friendly staff!

Be aware that there is no elevator. Outside staircase only. We are 74 years old and they could not move us to the first floor. It was very difficult to carry suitcases up the stairs for us. Will not stay again because of this!

This place is the peace and quiet you need. The room was very clean and very stocked with linins and other essensials. The rode to the hotel is not what you'll expect but lets you know its going to be quiet! It has Beautiful scenery and gives you the opportunity to not even leave the property. Italian resturant and bar right across the driveway. And i say bar but there is a golf course so thats the crowd. Definatly will be back

Very nice pool and outside areas. Unfortunately we were assigned a room upstairs and there was no elevator. We were unaware that the hotel was being renovated so there was construction just next door to us. We stayed 3 nights and our room was never refreshed. We verbally requested that it be done after the 2nd night and it wasn’t.

Do not stay at this property until the remodeling is completed. Rooms were very dated, dirty with mold and mildew. Carpet was stained and even had old hornets nests embedded in the drapes. Staff was very nice, but rooms look nothing like whats advertised.

Quick overnight visit to Ocean Springs didn’t allow for time to explore the property, although very lovely. The pool looked very inviting. Comfortable bed and nicely renovated room. The only thing missing were bedside plugs for electronics.

We enjoyed our stay at Gulf Hills. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Everyone was very nice. We traveled with dogs and there was in a great area to walk them. We were in the process of moving and had a Uhaul with us. It was a very safe area. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was pretty but the service and cleanliness were trash. They sent us to two different rooms that were not clean then had no one to help at the desk. Waited for awhile then finally another clerk assisting form another property tried to help us. They set her up for failure with dirty rooms, no housekeeping, and no staff. I also had booked a king room and was not given one. This clerk ended up cleaning our room herself. Delays everywhere…and I get that things happen but come on. Beds were not comfortable at all, the only thing worthwhile about this hotel was the one clerk and the drinks at the bar. All the renovations in the world do nothing if your service sucks. Also there were children running everywhere due to this also being the clubhouse for the gold community….lackluster at best

This hotel is almost 100 years old and is in excellent condition. Lobby, meeting rooms and pool area as well as the rooms all have been completely renovated and everything looks so nice. I stayed here before any of the renovations had been started and while it was a little outdated, it was a nice clean place to stay. The transformation has been amazing.

The history and charm of the property was great! However, there was not enough electrical outlets especially by the bed. Only one bedside table. The side without the bedside table had an outlet on all behind headboard. The headboard was bolted to wall and made outlet unusable! No place to charge phone near bed for second guest. Lighting was very minimal. Made getting dressed in bathroom difficult.

Initially stayed in room at far end of hall from office, and wifi would not work. Hotel staff were very helpful in switching me to a room closer to office with good wifi connection. Hotel is in a lovely, unique setting right on golf course, but a little hard to find in the dark. Older hotel that is being intensively renovated, but current open rooms are quite nice. Convenient location close to ocean springs downtown and short drive across the bridge to Biloxi and Golden Nugget casino.

Loved staying there. Staff was great. No dining facility but a descent bar. Rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. Only one Bedside table for a king bed. Bathroom was cramped and the door didn’t stay closed. The “barn door-style” door was about 4” too short. Looked like great renovations in main areas and refurbished in the hotel bedrooms. All that being said I would stay there again. Great city and great people. Quiet

Design of room pretty strange. Limited space for hanging clothes and shelf space, etc. do they really think we’re going to steal their hangers? Barn door on bathroom looks nice and unique but doesn’t really work well to keep out light at night or provide privacy

You treated us differently because we booked with a 3rd party. Who knew? Does it state that on your website? I requested a downstairs room so we could easily access a green space for the small dog. I was told you couldn’t do that because I booked with a 3rd party. I walked past 6 empty downstairs rooms this morning at 7:00. Yes, blinds were open, beds were made.

Love to stay here, and the upgrades in the past 9 months are FANTASTIC. Only 3 issues. 1)One of the 2 glasses in the room was uses/dirty, 2) while getting a drink at the Sunset Lounge, the catering/events manager(s) kept pulling the bartender away from her guests, 3) Front desk couldn't/wouldn't print me a receipt because I used Expedia, and told me to get the receipt from them, but they are telling me to get the receipt from the hotel!

This hotel is undergoing renovation, so there were some initial reservations upon first seeing it; however, what this hotel was lacking in a few aesthetics, the staff more than made up for with their friendliness and willingness to go out of their way to make us comfortable. There was a personal touch at Gulf Hills that has been unmatched in any hotel in which I’ve stayed. We also caught a peek of the renovations, and it’s going to be a beautiful place! We would definitely stay here again. Quiet, clean, and convenient to everything you’d want to do in the Ocean Springs/Biloxi area.

The stay was excellent. Had a problem with the first room but the people at the front were very responsive and helped me move to another room. It looked like the rooms had been recently renovated and I really like how the had everything done. I was able to do my morning walk around the grounds in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood

This was really a hidden gem. The property was a bit dated but the rooms and beds seemed updated. The air conditioner was noisy. We wanted to use the pool but umbrellas were very limited. Free coffee was nice. There are no restaurants within walking distance but only a few miles away you can find lots of places to dine.

My wife and I spent only one night at the hotel, but we liked it very much. The room had a simple, tasteful elegance, and the toiletries were high-quality. The staff, especially the room service, was very pleasant. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Ocean Springs, yet close to the beach, where I recommend going for a walk at sunrise and sunset. Highly recommend. Friendly, convenient, very clean and affordable. Restaurant was friendly, great service and food. Only thing I would have like is a microwave in the room but would not let it stop me from staying there for our year trip. Will definitely be staying there again. Thank you to all the staff.
