The Aurora building has no working elevators! I would have canceled our reservation if I had read the fine print. If you have lots of luggage, groceries, ski equipment etc because do not overlook this detail! Our room was good, we had a two bedroom unit with the kitchen. A couple things didn’t work like the blinds in the main living room. We were missing a remote to turn on a fireplace in the main living room and one of the bathroom doors got jammed and stuck, and we couldn’t use it. However, besides that the room was well-maintained and in good shape. The common areas of the resort were not as nicely maintained. The Parkade is very dirty and dusty, the halls need a fresh coat of paint. They’re very dirty and marked up. The pool area is not great, we went once and didn’t feel the need to go back again.

Property was tidy and close to amenities. Nice little cafe in the lobby. Pool was small and hot tub jets were weak. Also only 1 elevator in each building making it faster to take stairs then wait for elevator.

The chairs in the living room are worn and all the leather is peeling off. The living room fire place didn’t work. The bathrooms constantly smelt of urine from the minute we checked in and the pool water was green and reeked of chlorine (make your eyes burn) For the price of the rooms other selections will be made next time.

Parking was very full. Room had a great layout. Loved the full sized table for our family. Loved the patio. But the blinds need to be better. Didn’t stop sunlight very well. Especially in common area. Otherwise we thought it was one of the nicest condos in the area. The pool was a huge disappointment. Way too narrow and small. For such a nice resort, we couldn’t believe the pool. Not for kids at all.

Very nice one bedroom unit. Kitchen was very well equipped. Kettle, French press, wine fridge and top end appliances. Washer, dryer. Two fireplaces and a shower with multiple heads and jets. The pool and hot tub were very clean and pleasant to use. We would stay here again.

Pros: Easy remote check-in process, large condo, modern style, nice location, great underground parking, nice indoor pool/spa. Cons: Nobody on-site for troubleshooting. Had a wine fridge, but no corkscrew. Missing remote for fireplace (couldn't turn on). Would have been nice to have someone onsite to fix/help with such issues.

Elevators were not working they should not book 4 story rooms when elevators are not working I saw a asthma patient sitting on stairs Parking lot Is full and if you park on road you get a ticket No intercom service in room Gym opens 9 am when most visitors are out Swimming pool need renovation

The aurora building elevator was not working so we had to take the stairs each time. Also, check in for the property in the beginning was difficult since there is no front desk and wanted like me to take a picture of myself prior to check in which could not upload on the Expedia message. Email did not go through whoever agent was asking for it for check in and the lady at the other end of the line barely spoke proper English.Also, the Spa is not “connected” to the resort, it’s its own separate entity even though it’s right there next to the resort. you need to pay extra for and took a rather long time to sign up. However, the pool and hot tub come with the resort and was rather nice

Great location and lovely accommodation. We always like our stay at the Solara. Having said that, our room was a little tired, the ice machine was broken and both the pool and cinema were closed which was disappointing. We did, however, love the market on site. Perfect for picking up snacks, a little groceries or just a fresh coffee.

We have stayed here in the past and loved it, this time we found the suite very worn out. The furniture and carpets were in need of a good shampoo, the fake leather couch was peeling, the chair in the bedroom was completely peeled, bathroom sink was cracked. The throw pillows had stains on them. There was coffee but no filters. Quite disappointing compared to past stays. The rooms are quiet and a wonderful size though.

Bed was not clean. Found bugs in the sofa bed. We tried contacting staff for two days, no one returned our call. On day of check out, I was told to contact the manager. Left a message, but no one returned my call. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it.

Terrible stay. Dirty room. Huge bodily fluid stains all over the pull out couch matress. I cannot believe they would not get rid of that. Cigarette ash all over the balcony in a non smoking room. TV broken. Gave us the wrong room number so i disturbed another guest trying to enter my room. Scary dirty halway and slow elevator. I would rate this place lower than 1 if i could for cleanliness.

The check-in process is painful. The elevator didn’t work. No one really explained how to check in or check out of the building. They say they sent stuff via text message that was never delivered. The building is very dated and rundown fixtures were ripped out of the wall in our room. The carpet is ripped and dents and dings in the wall. Fingerprints on everything. I went to wipe a mess off the floor and was disgusted with the black color of the cloth Indicating how filthy the kitchen floor is. This is a property in desperate need of a renovation and way overpriced for what is there? I would not recommend staying there and I would never stay there again.

The size of the room was nice, however after walking in the room for 10 mins, our socks were filthy. Which shows that the floors were not clean at all. The halls need a huge deep clean as well. Along with proper lighting as it seems very dark both in the hallways and in the room itself. Otherwise it was ok. Nothing remarkable and definitely shouldn't be rated as highly as it was online.

We’ve stayed at the Solara many times and have always enjoyed the living area and full kitchen. However, this stay was disappointing. The unit showed noticeable wear on the furniture and carpet, and overall cleanliness made me feel inclined to wear slippers the entire time. It was also quite noisy - we could hear neighbours, vehicles, and ongoing construction. The lighting in the unit was very dim, especially in one of the bathrooms. Our self check-in experience was frustrating, as we didn’t receive the proper instructions. The phone number provided in our email didn’t work, and we eventually had to ask a random person for help to get the correct contact information. We’re both tech-savvy, so the issue wasn’t due to user error. Apple AirPlay didn’t work on the TV, which was another inconvenience. On the positive side, the location is great, and several restaurants are within walking distance. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub this time. Overall, though, we left feeling disappointed with this visit.

For what you’re paying here you’re not getting “luxury”. While it’s not a terrible place, it is dated and old. You will get a Mountain View in the right rooms but from behind another building likely. We encountered a few broken items in our room such as the microwave, wine cooler, refrigerator door handle, washing machine doesn’t drain appropriately, the bathroom door didn’t shut without force past the toilet in the washroom.

Internet shuts down on people in the evening because they don't have proper internet for streaming. Once everyone is back in their room and on their devices, the internet either bogs down or stops working altogether. The televisions don't work either due to the connectivity so if you plans on staying, make sure you download a bunch of things beforehand. The rooms are dark (poor lighting) and the mattresses are not very comfortable. The walls seem to be thin and you are able to hear neighbors. Particularly if they are above you.

For a 6 person condo they only have 1 parking pass And in order to get the parking pass you need to check into your room and they did not accommodate another parking pass so they ask you pay in the parkade The entire place is poorly marked and is a giant maze and there is no front desk to help you. And they did not reply to my messages but will call you asking for a credit card even though the self check in online didn’t let me add one The pillows are super thick and uncomfortable and the mattress is stiff and hard to sleep on. The room was 1000 degrees and said temperature was adjusted but nothing changed. Not worth the price

Our room was located on the main floor in the bow lodge. There was a ventilation system right outside our patio. We could not sit outside on the patio which was part of the room. The thermostat could only be set to 20 degrees. Could not open the window due to the noise outside and window latch was broken. The hairdryer was also broken with exposed wires…fire/electrical hazard. Will not stay here again. Blackstone Mountain lodge is way better!

Exterior and main lobby area were modern, but rooms themselves were dated. The shower door in our bathroom could not close all the way (it kept scraping the bottom of shower) and our sink leaked the second day we were there.

This place was a bit dated, dishes were mostly dirty. The wall had a giant splash mark of some liquid that seems to have been there for a while. King bed was just two twins pushed together which was disappointing because you would sink in the middle. Staff was knowledgeable and provided really good parking directions. Obviously views were great with the mountain view side, but the place it self was overrated and lacklustre.

Beds were too soft for my comfort. The two bedroom suite was lovely, but rather over priced for off season. If you're wanting something close to the town, be prepared to walk 20 minutes to reach the centre. I had no opportunity to use the pool or other services, so have no comment. The room itself was very clean and the view of the mountains was nice.

Terrible experience. Requestwd a top floor months in advance them again at check in. The check in girl flat out lied to me and said i was onnthentop floor. Arrivded to the room and quickly flund out there was somoene above us. Really noisy and poorly built resort. The place is way past the need for renovations. Poor cleanliness. Parking is an absolute joke. The elevator is insanely slow. Would never stay here again.

Front desk staff was rude, rooms weren’t ready until 5pm for check in so we had to wait an hour in the lobby, and then rooms were not clean, elevators super slow, impossible to find anything in the hotel - you had to go through the parkade to get to different levels and to the pool and to your car.

No front desk staff pathetic. Girl at front was rude. Barely spoke english. Left the area when others beeded helptold us all to call the #....luckily found out to go to grand rockies for help they were very friendly and helped us out. Unsure why they have 2 staff to help customers out and solara has none. Wont b back. Not our first time here. Our 3rd time.

room clean but the communication with the hotel was frustrating and the phone number given had a full voicemail. There were very loud occupants across the hall and no one to contact to intervene. Parking was awful and we received a note on our car saying we were not allowed to park in the hotel even though we were staying there.

Check-in and maintenance issues with the unit. There is no front desk staff so all issues require calling and being on hold several minutes and having to call back several times trying to get issues resolved. Would not stay here again.

One bedroom condo style unit. Liked the upscale kitchen appliances and the two fireplaces. Very clean. King bed was comfortable. Washroom had tub and stand alone shower with jets on three walls. Lots of room in the hot tube. Good location. Would stay there again.

Fabulous apartment, about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Canmore. Spacious living area, a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Also had washer and dryer. We didn't have a mountain view but since we were out and about all day, this didn't matter too much! The Stay Well initiative which allows free use of snow shoes and fat wheel bikes (and more) is a brilliant idea. Enormous hot tub was great after a day in the mountains but the pool is small and often busy. Would definitely stay again!

Great views! Large, clean suites. The pool and hot tub were closed. No restaurant in hotel - meat and cheese market only - sandwiches. Market not open evenings and kitchen closed on Mondays. Not tons of choices for food in area.

Great place to stay. Super unfortunate they don’t have an outdoor hot tub as the indoor one gets loud and echos. Great location to get to downtown if you don’t mind taking a 20min walk. We enjoyed it tremendously! Close to other amenities too if you aren’t wanting to walk downtown.

Liked that the suites have a full kitchen (with cooking pans, plates, etc) and Washer/Dryer. Though the dishwasher could use a replacement. Bathrooms have a rain shower & side jets. Pool is small but the hot tub was a good size. We went on xmas day so the lodge restaurant was closed but there were lots of restaurants around Canmore that were open. Location is close to a grocery and the town. Property facade gives you a cabin feel. Amazing view of the mountains from our room at the Bow wing.
