We stayed in a quadruple room. The building was further from the hotel. The receptionist took us there and helped with the luggage, really nice. The staff were incredible, friendly and trying to accommodate with everything. Great location to be based to explore the area, steps away from the station. And steps away from the best beach in the area. Would definitely go back and stay here again. The breakfast was very nice, the room where it was served was very cute. The decorations in the room were really pretty.

Wrong name, correct name is a’ cu’ du Gigante, Expedia! The property doesn’t have all the rooms at their location. They are spread out near and around the office within walking distance to office and beach. We had Gigante room and it was big (by European standards) hence for the the name. Breakfast was nice on property. They offer you beach towels too. Claudia the receptionist was wonderful! The room was cold. The balcony was lovely. And yes it is around the corner from the Giant attached to a side of a castle or home on the mountain side. Easily visible when you turn down the street to the office. Our room was one block over up hill up stairs. There is no lifts or elevators. One suggestion maybe an outdoor shower head or hose to rinse before going into room would help the cleaning crew from having to pick up the sand in our room. We did rinse off at beach but that just wasn’t enough. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay. The breakfast crew was wonderful too!

We booked a suite that said sleeps 4. It barely slept 3. Our suite was quite far from the main Hotel and up a hill and then many stairs. There was no bellman or porter to help withe bags , which made it very difficult to check in and out. I would not recommend this property for people that are not very physically fit.

Our view was amazing of the sea and mountains. Our room was in an offsite property from the hotel's main building that we were not aware of until check in; that required a rather difficult hike up a steep road and lots of stairs, made further difficult by our luggage - we should have been forewarned. The hotel employee that we first encountered was lovely, welcoming and helpful; not so much the second individual that escorted us to our room.

We love every little detail of the hotel Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy. We had a great time there. Claudia was very nice!. She gave us towels for the beach after we checked out and we were able to shower.

What an amazing place! It truly felt like someone’s home but with all the comfort of a hotel. It was intimidate and spacious at the same time and then location is perfect. A huge plus is their shower available in case you need one after you check out. It was very handy to keep enjoying Monterosso on my way leaving town.

Our room has a porch and a view of the ocean, so it was great! But the downside is we had to walk several flights of stairs to get to the room with a view. Overall the hotel staff offered great service for our short stop at Cinque Terre.

The room itself is very clean and comfortable. AC was working properly and got very cold. There was plenty of towels available and the host would switch out fresh beach towels daily. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room itself is a bit small for 4 if you are not in gigante and it’s a big bed with bunk beds so would not recommend for multiple couples or for people who don’t like sleeping in bunks. The area around is very beautiful and a quick walk to the train which takes you to all the over villages. The only caveat is if you are staying in the other building it is about 5-10 minute walk uphill and LOTS of stairs up to get to your room. There is also no luggage service so you will need to take your own luggage up and down or hire a company to bring your luggage to you.

Despite not staying in the main hotel and alternatively having to climb many steps to the room and with luggage it can be hard the room itself was a joy and a treat. Decorated tastefully in the locale flavor and the view of the sea and having the large patio was nice. Breakfast was very plentiful. service welcoming and very hospitable towards all the guests to make sure the stay was pleasurable.

Please be aware that this hotel doesn’t have late check in. There was a train strike the day we went and we didn’t get there till almost 10. Even though the staff did manage to leave a key for us and gave us video instructions, it was stressful getting those info from them while dealing with the train situation. The room is clean and the location is good. Very close to the train station and very walkable. But we hated the room itself. It is small, windowless with a musty smell.

Our bedroom and bathroom were small, but clean, organized and well kept. The location was very convenient and near the beaches. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the food was fresh. Our hostess was helpful, very cordial and gave us information about the area and where things were located. A very pleasant stay.

Despite its favorable location in Monterosso, the hotel exhibits signs of disrepair and age. The rooms are small, and the furniture is outdated and worn. The room was also plagued by an unpleasant odor of humidity and mold. The shower appeared to be outdated and in poor condition. Furthermore, we were compelled to shorten our travel plans due to an unforeseen national train strike. Our attempts to resolve our sudden issues were met with indifference and lack of assistance from the hotel’s customer service. Despite our efforts, including writing to the establishment, we received no acknowledgment of our emails. This situation is deeply disappointing.

The room was nice as well as the terrace and view of the water. Our room was a 5 minute walk from the actual hotel and breakfast. It’s in a great location, the room was very cute.

Our room for 3 (traveling with our adult daughter) was clean, with comfortable beds. The only drawback was the size of the room - very small for 3 adults and no where to open luggage. The proprietor was very kind and accommodating and the breakfast every morning was a very nice and so convenient.

Front desk lady assisted us to our room. The hallways were so hot. She gave me a tour and showed me the remote to control the air conditioner. After she left, we tried to turn on the air conditioner, but it would not turn on. We saw mosquitoes and it was very hot inside that it felt like a sauna. There was no way we'd be able to sleep comfortably. My father went to the front desk. He asked if we can have another room with air conditioning. She stated there were no other rooms available and the reason why the air conditioning was not working was due to a storm that happened a few days ago. Went in a second time with myself present. I requested a refund. It was listed in the booking that air conditioning would be provided. If they knew that it was not working a few days ago, why were we not informed about it ahead of time? Why was it not fixed? They lied and did not mention it was not working in the first place. They didn’t want to refund me. Why not? We didn't even stay one night. We literally just walked in to no air conditioning and mosquitoes. When I went in, she asked us to stay one night in that room with no air conditioning to resolve the issue the next day! This was unacceptable. I did not want any further services from them. Thank god, we ended up finding a different hotel room that night with air-conditioning and was half the price.

We had a great stay here! Only things were that the fan didn’t work, and neither did the A/C. The Wi-Fi also stopped working. However, we were able to stay comfortably without these, and the provided breakfast was amazing! Great location close to the beaches and everything Monterosso has to offer.

The location was great, the room was clean and air conditioning was awesome in the August heat. But what stood out the most about this hotel was the hospitality. The hosts of the hotel absolutely took care of us. They helped me out with a mistake I made on my booking, were classy and welcoming at the lovely hosted breakfast, and assisted us in saving money with the Cinque Terre card. We also left a special keepsake behind, and one of these fantastic women went above and beyond to make sure I received it back. Their hospitality is unmatched.

Our visit got off to a bad start. Our room was not very close to the office area. We were told to park our car at the end of the road, & then carry our luggage up a small street to our room. It was very hot outside, so we left our car there for 10-15 minutes while we dropped off our luggage & changed so that we could go swimming in the downtown area. The hotel does not have any parking, so all guests park in the downtown lot. While unloading our car & changing to go swimming, we were given a $35 parking ticket. We were surprised & disappointed by this, but more shocked by the manager’s response - too bad, we can’t do anything about it. Some suggestions - tell your guests to drive up the small street & park in the apartment’s parking space while unloading; give a temporary sign for your customers to place on their car for the police to see for 15 minutes while they unpack; call the police & let them know what happened in this case & have the violation dismissed - after all tourism is kind of important to this town; lastly, pay the $35 fine. The incompetence of the managers at this hotel was 10/10. Our rating would have been 10/10 if not for the parking incident and the hot weather. Due to the heat (which the hotel cannot control) & the lack of fans in the hotel room (which they can and should!) brings the rating down to 8/10. But the lack of help from any of the managers brings the rating down to where it belongs. Not what one would expect when paying $300/night!

Claudia was a lovely hostess, checking in and recommending area spots to visit. The hotel is perfectly located steps from a beautiful beach and restaurants. The room is small for 3 people but the warmth of the hostess makes up for it. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious with again the grace of Claudia hosting you. The hotel is wonderful about the check out day offering luggage storage and shower and towels for post beach. HIghly recommend this in the most beautiful towns of the Cinque!!

Absolutely charming little hotel at the end of the new part of Monterosso. Very tastefully decorated with a comfortable beach house style. The place has a wonderful peaceful feel about it and a great place to return at the of a day travelling the Cinque Terre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much Claudia. We originally reserved for 2 nights, thinking we would move on to another location on the Cinque Terre. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we extended our stay for another 2 days and used this as our base in the Cinque Terre. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable room with a good view of the Mediterranean. The daily breakfast is really nice, lots of variety and all fresh. Due to a train strike we had to take an early taxi to La Spezia..we were provided with a light breakfast before regular hours. Can't say enough about the staff.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Claudia greeted us with such warmth and hospitality that we immediately felt like part of the family. The hotel itself is stunning, with all the amenities conveniently located nearby. I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. The staff is incredible! They were so helpful, kind and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They provided us beach towels and a restroom to use after we checked out so we could freshen up. They even kept the buffet open for us one morning when we were running behind. Highly recommend. It also is a great location!

The hotel is well located on a quiet street near the beach in Monterosso al Mare. The property is very cute with a nice room for breakfast on site. Our room was located in another building a short walk from the main hotel, where all the ocean view rooms are located. The view did not disappoint. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Monterosso al Mare was the perfect home base to venture out and explore the beautiful coastline and quaint villages that are the Cinque Terre.

This location was perfect as it was away from the busy part of town. Quiet. It was totally walkable from old town and the beach. The staff is outstanding. Breakfast is also outstanding, with so many options including protein. Great shower which is important to me! We would stay again!

The room had great views to the Mediterranean sea as advertised. The owner is very kind, flexible and responsive. The location is excellent. However, the "ocean-view" room is not part of the main hotel, but a 4 minute walk from the real hotel. It appears to be a makeshift converted apartment. I was expecting to find a proper hotel as I was booking from hotels.com and this was a surprise and I do not like such surprises, nor do I like Bed and Breakfasts. I certainly did not like walking through another person's private living room and kitchen, nor did I like the multiple key arrangement to get in the apartment and then into my room. The breakfast was my worst breakfast experience in my 7 day Italy trip. It did not have any non-sweet options, no eggs and I found it hard to find things to eat which will not cause a sugar spike as I am a diabetic. This is an excellent bed and breakfast with a great location and should not advertise itself as a hotel. The high prices also are not reflective of the quality of room and the service.

Adequate room in quiet area. Facility clean. Breakfast targeted at sweet baked goods lovers. Overpriced for season and offering.

The hotels is wonderfully. Very intimate and few steps from the Mediterranean Sea, you can hear the waves crushing when you open the windows. Our room was amazing with a cute balcony and a very comfortable bed. The lady that greet us every morning was very kind and polite, she made us feel at home and gave us ideas for day trips. Good breakfast. Would totally recommend it.
