Castle of Westeros - luxury oceanfront house, pet-friendly, EV level 2 charger

It's rare to find a STR that lives up to the photos and description. Westeros exceeded our expectations. LOVE the fully stocked kitchen, open floor plan, nice grill, comfy beds, backyard fire pit, short path through the dunes to the beach and especially the sunset views.

Spent 6 days in Ocean Park. House was perfect. Close enough to grocery stores, restaurants, and Long Beach. 5 min walk to the beach. House had everything you would need. Loved the level 2 charger for our car. Nice neighbor next door. Kids loved the ping pong and foos ball.

The house is beautiful and full of such interesting artwork and furniture. The ocean view in the main area and the two ocean facing bedrooms was very nice, but the view from the “crows nest” was stellar. The walk through the dunes to the beach is an easy walk. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions. The grandkids had a blast playing in the sand and the dogs loved digging and tearing around. The host was every responsive and the kitchen is top notch. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet peaceful time - no road noise or lights to interfere. So enjoyable to just sit and listen to the waves. We will definitely return!

This is a very beautiful and comfortable house. So nicely decorated! The beds are very comfortable. Great kitchen with all the amenities. Lots of light and view with the many large windows. Very nice location in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the beach. Loved the upper platform with great views of the ocean and comfortable stressless recliners. Very comfortable seats on the deck with views of the dunes, ocean, birds, deer,… Highly recommended.

NOT SAFE FOR DOGS. The GOOD, BAD, and UGLY. GOOD: The house had very interesting, creative decor. That was fun to see. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, etc. The place was clean and beds comfortable. Ping pong and video games were fun. The BAD: The ocean was only barely visible from the house due to high grassy dunes. The path from house to beach was challenging, and too difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Although most of the house was cleaned pretty well, the coffee makers were not cleaned. A leftover used K-cup was still in the Keurig machine. Worse than that, a whole basketful of used coffee grounds were found very moldy in the Mr. Coffee machine (see picture). The UGLY: the host failed to clean up the smallish yard on the west side of the house. The weeds were prominent, the fire pit had leftover half burned wood and old used cigarette butts. The worse of that was our dog found and ate balls of chewing tobacco left lying right beyond the back steps. We had to call poison control, and go buy products to make her throw up, because that would have poisoned her. Not fun. The worst thing there was the Sea Burrs. They are a pervasive plant growing there, very difficult to see, which have sharp, nasty burrs that immediately pierced the dog's and our feet. As soon as we arrived there, our dog went out and immediately became lame. We didn't understand what was going on because the terrible burrs are so small and sharp. The house was surrounded by them.

We had a great time. The house is very comfortable, well equipped, and great views! The viewing platform is such a unique bonus! Great location for a low key, relaxing vacation. Easy access to the wonderful beach.

This is our second stay 2 years apart. It can’t be beat for ocean views from the comfortable deck and crow’s nest seating area. There is a ramp to the back door for those using a walker and all living, including deck, can be accomplished on one main level. Open living and kitchen to enjoy family time. The downstairs Murphy bed and sofa downstairs were perfect for the gamers to stay up late. Mike was quickly on it when the igniter on the grill didn’t work and saved burger night! We hope to be back.

The house was beautiful and as described and shown in photos. The couches and the beds were comfortable. The chairs on the "second floor" were great for reading and looking out on the field and ocean beyond. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. We played games and did a puzzle on the large "coffee" table. Several of us used the path from the house to walk to and on the beach. We also drove to and on the nearby beach for easier access for others. A bald eagle hung out on a dead tree that marked the house location from the beach. The weather wasn't great but the rain stayed away more than was forecasted and we did get to enjoy one sunset.Would return in the future if in the area again.

Incredible house! Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen! Only suggestion would be hose access. Would be great to rinse pets or feet after beach. We loved the secluded beach!

This is a beautiful home. You have a little walk to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking pans, dishesand utensils. That was nice because we did a lot of cooking. Fun ping pong and foosball. We really enjoyed our time there.

The Castle of Westeros is a beautiful and well appointed home. Check-in was easy and the house was clean and welcoming.The beds were comfortable and the claw footed tub in the primary bathroom was an added delight. We made dinner in the kitchen which had all the tools we needed. The beach is just a short walk away. One of our favorite parts of the house was the "crows nest" seating area up a spiral staircase. We saw a bald eagle on the beach and I\'m sure you could see whales at the right time of year.Thank you, Michael, for sharing your charming home with us!

The house is beautiful with beautiful views. There were something’s that needed to be touched up in terms of loose knobs on drawers and other items, but all in all, it’s a wonderful place to visit.

Excellent host with a superb property. We have stayed at many rental properties all over the US and this was the most enjoyable property we have ever stayed at - number 1. The host, the location, the home design, the furnishings and the cleanliness were superb. The ceiling in the main room is close to 20' yet the home has radiant heat and was so well built that it's perfectly quiet and comfortable. We were warm and cozy the whole time! Congratulations Michael and thank you for sharing your impeccably designed home and wonderful treasures with us. By the way, there was almost no one on the beach and the Peninsula is super interesting to explore - Oysterville, Ledbetter park...we are certain to return for a longer stay. Please pass on our compliments to your cleaning crew. There's nothing better to me than arriving at a rental property and finding it clean to my standards. It's rare and much appreciated. There are two west facing master suites so couples each get a fantastic room with a view. Very well stocked, super clean and just a short walk to the ocean. Michael, the owner is very helpful and responds quickly to any issues. we really enjoyed our stay and plan to book it again.

The house is amazing, complete with everything you might need for short or extended stay. The view is beautiful, large windows, and a sitting area to watch the ocean. Short walk straight to beach. Very roomy, it was perfect for our time away. Host was helpful a d very response to questions or needs. Highly recommend

Five friends and I stayed the weekend here and it was the perfect house for us. Right off the beach, the house had a lovely combo of access and privacy. The views are stunning and each bedroom is comfortable. The two dogs had a blast as well. We had a great time and would like to go back soon!

We arrived and the house did not disappoint. It is as advertised. It is closer to the water than i initially thought, so that was a pleasant surprise. Beds were comfortable and the sound of the waves were a nice bonus. Highly recommend

My grown children and I had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful home. The home is even nicer than the pictures- soaring ceilings, oversized - well everything- in a really delightful way. The whole place is elegant but very comfortable and not stuffy. Very well equipped with everything you need in kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommend.

The house was nice. The setting was very pleasant. Be prepared for cameras all around the house, hopefully just outside. There is a two car garage to which access is not provided. There were over a dozen locked cabinets/drawers in the house. We had a last moment schedule change and had to cut our stay short a day. The owner/host was not pleasant to work with. He didn’t respond to a voicemail left at the phone number in the VRBO app. He didn’t always respond to texts through the app and when he did he was rather curt right at the edge of being rude. Though we rent on the coast several times each year, we won’t return to this property.

this listing actually matched the pictures online and was a wonderful and beautiful home to stay at Michael was really attentive to our needs and quickly responded to any issues we had my kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard and walking down from the backyard to the beach it was an incredible experience. It was really lovely and exactly as advertised and we absolutely loved it. This has nothing to do with the host but the Vrbo email system with the host didn’t work on a cell phone. It was fine and we were able to get in a little early as requested and it was truly a 5 star experience. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Such a great home, clearly very well maintained with everything you will need. Also, just so happens to be perfect location to the Pacific Ocean. Amazing views and amenities. If you’re looked for a quiet getaway for your family this is the place.

We had such a nice time! Lovely house with beautiful views. Easy beach access so we enjoyed many walks on the beach with our dog. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for eating in. Close enough to Long Beach and enjoyed the restaurants there. Excited to go back again.
