I like the hotel. The location The staff, but the parking situation is a total joke. Its always a struggle. This time i sat in my car for an hr until someone left carpark. This was 13.30.in the afternoon. You would expect it to be empty

Standard chain hotel, modern clean rooms, great location, however extremely limited parking, I had to park 10 min walk up a steep hill

Nice bolt hole if visiting Newcastle - but get there early as parking on site is limited.

Little disappointed that’s it’s advertised with car parking. Spaces are limited and we ended up parking elsewhere with an additional parking fee. The car park was already full when we arrived pre check in time leaving us no option but to find additional parking

The hotel suited my needs in that it was near to where i needed to be to conduct the business I was in the area for. The food was rather limited in the restaurant and bar and service at times was very slow. The hotel was clean in all the public areas and in the room. Unfortunately the rooms require some upgrades. Parking spaces are very limited considering the hotel has 200 rooms and 37 parking spaces and what I thought was an excessive charge of £8.50 per 24 hours.

Good hotel great location for walking over the millennium bridge for places to eat. Parking is poor. Nearest car park once the onsite 30 spaces have been taken is a good 8 minute walk up a steep hill.. Im glad it wasnt raining.

Had a good stay only problem we had was on the first night the lifts weren’t working and as I’m 75 and my niece had a bad back we had to walk up to the 4th floor. Next day only one of the lifts was working.

Staff were mostly lovely. Fairly quick check-in but key didn’t work so had to go back down to sort. Reception area was clean and modern but can’t say the same for the rooms unfortunately. Very dated. Bathroom was small and very old. Limescale on the sink and black mould around the bath. There was lots of hair in the drain before any of us had even had a shower or bath, just gross. Very little toilet roll left so had to go and ask for some. Beds were comfy and the view from the room was fab. Towels changed but gave us less so had to go and ask for another one. Doors slam shut so whenever anyone on the floor leaves their room you hear it! Big downside about this hotel has to be the parking. Very limited on site at £8.50 per night. We couldn’t get in either of the two nights we stayed. The car park next door - Baltic, is expensive at £1.50 per hour. There’s another one about half a mile away that they recommend at reception but with two kids and luggage it’s not ideal. Especially if you need to come and go. Reception advised us we could park on the single yellow lines and loading bay between 6pm and 8am so I ended up doing that and moving it at 8am. Didn’t have to pay in the hotel car park for just the morning which was nice. Lovely walk across the bridge into Newcastle so locality is good. Overall a little disappointing and wouldn’t recommend because of the parking situation and dated rooms. But if just using as a base to go explore on foot, it’s worth it at a reasonable price.

The room temperature was very comfortable and the room was spotless.

I booked this Leonardo after staying at the Leonardo in Belfast city centre in 2024. Belfast was phenomenally clean and updated, this one feels a bit tired and with that, a little less clean, but generally okay. The bed and bedroom were clean, it was just the carpets and bathroom.

Lovely staff on reception, clean public areas. Disappointing bathroom cleanliness in the room, dirty marks on the wall, no toilet brush, black gunge around the tap areas. Carpets in room had marks and were threading in area’s.

No housekeeping. Room was not cleaned during stay

Tired looking hotel, room felt very dirty and the smell in the bathroom was like a Saturday afternoon at a football ground toilet!!

Rooms could do with some paint an possible replacing some parts. The bed had rips in the head board and bathroom walls were needing a clean.

Room was dirty and small for 2 adults and a baby when you need to have pram and cot in the room was unable to move about. Very dusty in the room hasnt been cleaned properly at all. Limescale on shower head, dirt behind tap, tiles dirty, hole in carpet and pillow case. I only notice the pile of dust behind the chair the night before going home and figured out why i had to take my allergy tablets.

Nice view of the Tyne. Given an inferior room type. Walls dirty, marked and chipped. Shower gel smelled wrong. Floor didn't seem to have been hoovered in a while. A mile away from what the photos promised.

Convenient location Rooms were clean functioning but warm at night. Air conditioning doesn’t blow cool air so got uncomfortable at night. Maybe should have asked for a fan.

Great location not far from town center, room was ok only two sockets to charge phones and tablets Bathroom clean but a bit tired Limited parking

Rooms feel really outdated.

Easy Check in unlike Premier Inn who are awful. Room pretty much standard for this type of hotel. Bed was clean when I checked the mattress so no need to get the dust mite spray out. Bathroom was nice and when I pulled the shower handle towards me got the shower to good temp first time. TV good but no BBC Red button services. I always like to look at the news and sports results last thing at night and in a morning. Lifts work well no need to use door card to get them to work. Breakfast. good all hot food was warm sausages only thing really hot. but that is the infa red lights too hot things dry up. Some potatoes that were very nice as well. Thick bread for toast as well as bagels and crumpets. Two coffee machines. so one of the better breakfast only down side brown and tomato sauce in bowls to help your self rather than the small sachets put me off from getting some brown sauce. Staff was nice and had a nice chat to Charlotte in Reception Who is a top receptionist. would defo stay there again. And it is near the Sage or Glasshouse as it is now known.

Lovely room with a great view and close to where I needed to be. The air conditioning made a funny noise so had to keep off and hairdryer didn’t work. Very clean room and hotel though. Comfy bed too.

Room was big with a comfy bed. Sound-proofing in the rooms not very good and the whole room shook of somebody else shut a door. Bathroom fine but water stains all over the wall. Nice view of the river and handy location for quayside

For superior room awful very tired decor and bathroom

Room was cold even after heating had been on, key didn’t work on our return had to go back to reception then had to call from phone at the lifts as still didn’t work, carpet had numerous stains on it and there was marks on the wall where something had thrown at wall and had been dripping down it

Shocking customer service not helpful in the slightest. Manager was argumentative and not intrested about complaints even from other guests. Wouldn’t honour the vip 20% off food and drinks and made such a hassle about the room upgrades.

Arrived late on Friday 28th March at around 9.15pm was met with a rather curt stressed gentleman at hotel reception that was after a long wait for him to arrive at Reception,Then asked him the quickest way across the river to which he replied sarcastically "Over the big Purple Bridge".Clearly a man not enjoying his job or day. As for the room it was clean and well presented however the room and bathroom showed signs of age and in need of a spruce up decorativally speaking,Bathroom door was shredded and so was the bath panel walls a little grubby and in need of a new coat of paint.Other than Mr Happy on Reception had very little interaction if any with remainder of staff during our 2 night stay. Lastly we could not park in Hotel Car Park Parked in Private Car Park next door which cost me £57.00 from Friday Night at 21.15hrs to 11am on Sunday Morning which the Hotel Could have advised us on but did not.Which was very disappointing.

Our second visit here and again the service was exceptional. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the wheelchair accessible room was spacious, perfect, the hotel is spotless, the food gorgeous and the bar staff entertained us.

The reception staff and bar staff are soo helpful. I have been a few times and normally visit as the rooms are great if working, comfortable beds. And the staff look after you, they even upgraded me to executive room which I’m grateful for when wanting to work.

I asked for quiet room and that is what I was given , so that despite it being a Friday night and a very busy one I had good night’s sleep in very comfortable bed. Hotel very well situated for Glasshouse concert Hall, easy walk and also easy to get bus into town if needed. As an older woman alone all that was very important and I will certainly stay again.

Room was clean every member of staff was helpful and courteous.

Appalling cuatomer service by one particular receptionist. I was parked outside reception closest to the exit barrier (sharp 90 degree turn to get out). Car next to me was really forward to unable to exit without climbing the kerb and risking damage to the underside of my car. I explained this to the receptionist and her response was "You shouldn't have parked there if you can't get out..!". I then spoke to a manager to see if they could locate the owner to which I got told that whilst they take car registration numbers for guests, their systems don't have the filtering ability to find the owner and the only way was to check every single booking by room...suffice to say they refused to do this. Thankfully I managed to get out without damaging the car or exit barrier but did so with what felt like a 6 point turn. Won't be returning to this hotel and some retraining or a dressing down needs to be given to the member of staff.

We had a problem with our 1st room, if i hsd been on my own i would have been stuck inside it as there was no handle to open the door. I spoke to jess and shaun who were on reception in the morning, they didn't just help they went above and gave us another room and upgrade

Excellent location with a fantastic staff. Right on the river with lovely views.

Lovely staff - very helpful. Outside areas are under development so very derelict with lots of waste ground. Nice tidy room but some communal areas needed a bit of attention (dirty windows). Great location in the riverside.

We really liked the location along the quayside, easy parking at or near the hotel. Safely away from the noise across the river. Would definately stay there again 👍

Right on the quayside a few hundred yards from the millennium bridge with easy access to the bars and restaurants beside the river. Clean and comfortable and a great breakfast, and can't complain about the price.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Glasshouse, which was great for me.

Great location if you’re are attending the glasshouse. Hotel rooms basic but clean and bed comfortable. Nice bar area and friendly staff.

Leonardo Newcastle Quayside is in an excellent situation, a short walk across the Millennium Bridge to a range of restaurants and bars, and on a frequent bus route to the city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, and my room was quiet and clean. I particularly appreciated the ability to regulate the heating/aircon to suit individual preference.

Enjoyable stay, clean and very good size rooms, friendly staff. Only quibble was meal on first night was rather poor, although meal during final night was so much better.

My stay started of fine but went down to dinner on first night and was told i couldnt eat in restraunt as they had a bus group staying said this wasnt acceptable as i was also a guest. I was then told member of staff made a mistake but 2 separate staff members said the same. Then on last night a gentleman asked for a table for 1 and was told he had to eat in bar as they had a bus party I told staff i heard this again excuses were made.

Breakfast could do with improving.

Hotel easy to find, clean fresh looking staff all efficient and friendly. Rooms clean and have everything you need Hairdryer tea making flat screen tv Iron and board, good working showers, working free WiFi Parking £8.50 for 24hrs Bar area and restaurant nice and cosy, outside seating for nice days, Didn’t have breakfast but ate in restaurant at night, food was poor the only downside 4 of us had different choices but was very basic and uninspiring,

Rooms good breakfast and drink too expensive

My only problem was with the breakfast, not enough options for the hot breakfast and £16 was extremely pricey for what was on offer

Pretty decent for the price with not bad facilities. Breakfast is quite expensive for what you get, but otherwise it’s clean, comfortable, quiet and if you just want one night at a reasonable price then it’s perfect! Nice setting on the riverside too.

Good stay, lovely view across the Tyne from my room. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.

We had a excellent stay only negative I could say is that we went for breakfast Sunday morning at 10:30 and there wasn’t much food left and they serve breakfast till 11 we had to ask for certain items which we got. Just suggest that if you serve breakfast till 11 all items should be available
