Easy access, free parking, kitchenette so can do own cooking, close to central city but not walkable. An affordable place to stay. Have stayed a few times.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was a good hotel, and we had no issues. There is on site parking, the wifi had a strong signal, and the room was comfortable, clean and had a nice comfy bed. The spa mentioned when we booked was not working and the laundry dryer worked, but not the washing machine. All the staff we dealt with were polite and helpful.

Best shower pressure ever. Loved having a fully functioning kitchen with the works. Beds are comfortable but a little firm. Loved the spa bath unit! It’s massive and the lounge chair is too good!

They let us check in early the parking was a bit tight if you had big vehicles otherwise it was a great place to stay

Manager was veery helful . Did have a sign in office stating Pool spa was not operating . This should be put on the booking site as well as people need to know before arriving .

The bathrooms, remotes and toilet were dirty and need a deep clean.

The room is clean and equipped with everything we need. The kitchenette was very convenient and the bedding was very comfortable. We had a restful stay. Thank you!

This property would have been lovely back in the day but it was run down & very unclean! Three bugs on our bed, marks & filth on the sheets made us question whether they had been washed. Layers of dirt & dust behind the drawers. It pays not to look. Reception smelt of a mix of garlic & cat wees. Cats feeding outside the reception

Was a lovely and clean room with everything in it we needed for our nights stay.

The property is well maintained, shows well. The room was spacious enough for two people. Our problem was that the room smelt of cat urine. We went to the store to purchase room spray to mask it. The next morning we realized that the owners cat wonders around the property and sprays/marks it territory. We were able room #1 that was closest to the office. They need to rip out the carpets and clean the walkway outsides the door as you can see staining from the urine.

We could have given a higher rating if the beds had been better. One bed was hard as a rock. The other was a marshmallow. The most important thing in a motel room is the bed!

Excellent stay! Loved the spaciousness of the room. Check in was so quick and easy and it was great being able to check in at 2pm. Bed was super comfy and we had a great sleep. We loved the jetted spa bath in the room, it was a great way to relax at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall, a nice Hotel. The room i had was super spacious with full kitchen and a MASSIVE bathroom and GIANT bath.( so good) The room i had also had the best single seat lounger EVER!!!! So yea, nice hotel😁

For what we needed it was perfect however cannot connect to wifi to do any work so keep in mind if travelling for business. Beds were so comfortable and shower is excellent. Kitchen facilities were great. Clean & basic, warm and cozy. Dish soap and hand soap so watered down though. Very strange. Overall good stay but wifi needs an overhaul.

Shower mixer unsafe water to hot got burnt, only a small amount of cold water. Very dangerous. Shower rose arm broken.

Could clearly hear people coughing & talking in units either side. Definitely need better sound proofing. Bed very hard, difficult to sleep on.

The hosts were kind in changing our room due to maitenance taking place. The road noise is very loud. And we felt the room definitely needed some love with curtain pieces hanging, paint drops in places.

Rang to say gonna check in late. Awesome service said he will leave the key in our room. Beds were comfy. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed a few nights, it was okay, but there is definitely room for improvements. 1: found an old pizza box stashed under bed 2: the laundry room was abit dirty, the dryer especially was full of lint, paper and had a dirty band aid inside it did not look like it had been cleaned in a while. 3:alot of times there isn't anyone at front desk reception, buzzing the bell doesn't do anything, so you will need to call their busniess number to contact the owner otherwise you will be left waiting around like a fool. 4: they do daily cleaning, i believe they only cleaned our room once, to be fair, on one occasion, they came to clean and we were getting ready, i asked him to come back when we leave, several hours later we came back Late in the evening and nothing had been cleaned had ask for new towels 5:the shower was abit difficult to work with, the water would just seep under the glass door and onto the bathroom floor had to constantly mop it up after every shower. The price we paid i felt was abit steep, For all the above mentioned. Especially that this motel is abit of a mission into town, its very costly for a taxi and wait times are horried, they do not have uber, there a some buses but we didn't use any buses unfortunately. What we did like, Upon arrival, the young lady at reception greeted us very nicely and helped us with our luggage, she also allowed us to keep our luggage before check-in as our flight was pretty early in the morning. Which we appreciated.

Stayed overnight on 2 separate days for only the nights due to the time frame of my itinerary. The management staff were lovely, very helpful and accommodating due to my late checkin times. Only had the opportunity of visiting 2 attractions in Whangarei. Loved every minute. Would like to see more if I come to New Zealand for another holiday.

Location close to city centre, good veriety food options nearby. Easy to find from out of town.

I needed accommodation near Kamo this was ideal. Stayed 2nights and will book again

Off the road a bit so not too noisy. Easy access and good parking, also good price

Probably the best one I've been in yet. Based on a 4 night stay. House keeping done daily, very clean and tidy rooms. Easiest check in yet (prepaid of course) Quiet and easy access to main highway. Probably just needs more utensils in kitchen and extractor fan over induction cooker. Will definitely come back if in Whangarei again. Weldone!

We used the motel as a base to travel the area and we liked the location.
