The room came with a great shower and deep tub. Dishess and metal cutlery.

Friendly, helpful staff, easy to check in at the bar. Room was clean and comfortable. Charged a $50 deposit for use of debit card for booking - no one available at checkout to collect deposit. Do I contact Grand Hotel directly for refund?

This room was booked on behalf of a family member. They said the room was bare necessities, room itself was ok. A bit hot but that's Northland for you. What really let the place down is the fact that we thought we had scored a deal on Expedia when we booked - $360 for 4 nights. Upon check in, the family member ended up having to pay $520. If you have a room listed on the site you should honour that booking. We were forced to pay more. Very disappointing as the location is very good.

Parking is not free during the day. And it is on street and metered. Big hassle. No waterfall shower. No fan or hair dryer. Located between a bar ( with karaoke) and gambling hall.

I like old buildings so that was cool. Location is great. Only downside is parking is tough.
