Wonderful stay. My family stayed 5 nights in a two bedroom apartment. Short drive to beautiful beaches, short walk to town, but very quiet surrounding the hotel. Plentiful parking at the hotel. Washing machine in the apartment was VERY convenient as we were on a longer trip (you'll need to supply your own detergent - bring laundry strips, or there's a supermarket short drive away).

This was like no other property I have ever visited. Clean, tidy, short uber ride to town, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, fabulous staff, super clean pool. A great stay!

Our apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The pool and pool area were great. It is a 15 minute walk to the town centre and beach, but we thought it was worth it for the quiet at the apartment.

It was very dark and quiet in the bedrooms. Great amenities except that the listing stated there was a washer and a dryer but there was only a drying rack and no dryer. Overall I would recommend this property.

Wasn’t what was portrayed on the site. Very basic - economy suite. Very small pool - you had to drive to the beach. - walkable if you wanted to walk 3 miles. The lights from the hotel shined in our suite and the outside shutters were broken - I could not close them. I didn’t get much sleep in 4 days. Only a few chairs to sit on by the pool ??? We never could get a chair to lie on. They need to invest in more chairs. Also the balcony table and chairs were broken and weathered. Would not recommend sorry.

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. We loved our rooms with a bath and a half, plus, a washing machine. The kitchen was great, but our favorite was the beautiful pool area. So quiet and enjoyable. We spent every afternoon at the pool. We are recommending to family and friends coming in the future.

Wir waren sehr gut zufrieden. Gut ausgestattet, tolles Frühstück, sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Parkplätze vorhanden, Balkon und Terrasse, sehr ruhig, sehr geräumig und wir fanden den Padel-Tennisplatz super. Preis-Leistung war gut ausgewogen. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier. Ein Auto ist zu empfehlen.

I was very pleased we could use the pool and keep the pool towels until we left the property for our flight. Excellent will recommend to all my friends

I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. There is someone at the reception desk til dusk, then a security guard is there overnight. There is parking on site. The suite is large, clean and has a washing machine and a large terrace. The unit has all amenities .. need to being laundry soap etc, again nothing nearby so best to stop at a grocery store before checking in, check time is 4 pm , they don’t let you check in early. Bed was comfortable but tight - was a double. The place is very clean and very quiet, very peaceful .. each morning they are our cleaning the pool area. If you are okay to drive for outings this is a nice tranquil place.

Really queit area with a fantastic apartment. it was large, clean and had everything we need. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. it was great. Only thing is that it was bit far from the large supermarket but you can take uber or bolt and only cost you under 5 euro.

We were booked as a group of 12 and this was our fourth hotel. The other hotels all placed us close together. Since I booked months in advance, it was disappointing that we were spread into 4 different buildings. My room smelled of sewage the whole time we were there. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom and no place to hang towels. I was expecting a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom but it was 1 and a half bathrooms. There was only one shower for 4 of us. The other rooms were nicer, cleaner and had better views so the rest of my family was happy. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

The reception ataff and security staff were very kind, courteous and helpful. The 3 bedroom apartment we rented was very spacious, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the walking proximity to the town centre (approximately 10-15 minutes).

The apartment was very well kept, extremely spacious, and super comfortable. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, a short walk to a little city centre with many dining options, shops, and groceries, and a quick ride away from the beach. We had a great and relaxing time; would highly recommend.

Property was good overall, close to Praia de carvoeiro and all the restos around (17 min walk or 4 min drive). I suggest taking your car and trying to find parking ahead of the strip as it is practically impossible to park on the strip. Only inconvenience was the bed, it is too small (double bed) instead of a queen or a king size. I would also recommend adding more towels.

We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. There were several nice restaurants nearby 5 minutes driving. There are several beaches and the seven hanging valley trailhead within 5minutes driving. The area is very quiet and dark at night. The only problem I had was that gps sent me to a somewhat isolated residential area using the address listed. I reentered gps using the name “placid village” and I found it easily.
We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. Placid village had absolutely wonderful staff! The room was always super clean and a very safe area. Everything is included, there was a kitchen and laundry machine! The staff was so accommodating. We had forgotten to buy laundry detergent and the staff came to our room with a giant bag of it! Will definitely come back again!

Our stay was amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and well stocked for our stay. We did have breakfast included in our stay, it is what I call a European breakfast. Cereals,fresh fruits, pastry’s ect. Walk down to Cavierio beach is about 15 minutes. Great options to grocery stores. We had a vehicle which gave us easy access to the rest of the area. You can’t go wrong with these accommodations.

The property manager and colleagues were very accommodating and kind. The grounds and property were well maintained. A continental breakfast with fresh fruit and breads was a delightful way to start our day. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Located in a quiet area of Carvoeiro the property and grounds, pool etc are kept in good condition. Apartment was well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine etc and AC. All staff were friendly and very helpful. A hire car is useful but Carvoeiro is walkable, but the the return walk is uphill and very steep in places. Cars can be hired through the hotel and the rate we got was better than going direct to the bigger companies. We would definitely return here if we go back to this area.

We were booked as a group of 12 and this was our fourth hotel. The other hotels all placed us close together. Since I booked months in advance, it was disappointing that we were spread into 4 different buildings. My room smelled of sewage the whole time we were there. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom and no place to hang towels. I was expecting a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom but it was 1 and a half bathrooms. There was only one shower for 4 of us. The other rooms were nicer, cleaner and had better views so the rest of my family was happy. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. There were several nice restaurants nearby 5 minutes driving. There are several beaches and the seven hanging valley trailhead within 5minutes driving. The area is very quiet and dark at night. The only problem I had was that gps sent me to a somewhat isolated residential area using the address listed. I reentered gps using the name “placid village” and I found it easily.

Our stay was amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and well stocked for our stay. We did have breakfast included in our stay, it is what I call a European breakfast. Cereals,fresh fruits, pastry’s ect. Walk down to Cavierio beach is about 15 minutes. Great options to grocery stores. We had a vehicle which gave us easy access to the rest of the area. You can’t go wrong with these accommodations.

Wonderful stay. My family stayed 5 nights in a two bedroom apartment. Short drive to beautiful beaches, short walk to town, but very quiet surrounding the hotel. Plentiful parking at the hotel. Washing machine in the apartment was VERY convenient as we were on a longer trip (you'll need to supply your own detergent - bring laundry strips, or there's a supermarket short drive away).

We loved our stay at Placid Village. Ideal for short distance away from the Carvoeiro beach. You do need a car I think to make it easy to move around, the walk to the beach is quite steap and would not recommend. The appartment itself is in a good state, really spacious. Even had a washing machine which we used. Also a large supermarket located nearby, a 5 minute drive.

Property was good overall, close to Praia de carvoeiro and all the restos around (17 min walk or 4 min drive). I suggest taking your car and trying to find parking ahead of the strip as it is practically impossible to park on the strip. Only inconvenience was the bed, it is too small (double bed) instead of a queen or a king size. I would also recommend adding more towels.

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. We loved our rooms with a bath and a half, plus, a washing machine. The kitchen was great, but our favorite was the beautiful pool area. So quiet and enjoyable. We spent every afternoon at the pool. We are recommending to family and friends coming in the future.

I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. There is someone at the reception desk til dusk, then a security guard is there overnight. There is parking on site. The suite is large, clean and has a washing machine and a large terrace. The unit has all amenities .. need to being laundry soap etc, again nothing nearby so best to stop at a grocery store before checking in, check time is 4 pm , they don’t let you check in early. Bed was comfortable but tight - was a double. The place is very clean and very quiet, very peaceful .. each morning they are our cleaning the pool area. If you are okay to drive for outings this is a nice tranquil place.

Nous sommes restés 6 nuits à Placid Village et nous aurions pu rester beaucoup plus tellement nous nous y sentions bien. Tout était parfait, nous ne manquions de rien. Propreté, gentillesse du personnel, appartement très spacieux, équipements au top, petit-déjeuner copieux, parking et piscine… un vrai coup de cœur pour cet hébergement qui a marqué nos vacances. Localisation un peu retirée du centre de Carvoeiro, mais parfaite pour un peu de tranquillité. Merci beaucoup !
Nous sommes restés 6 nuits à Placid Village et nous aurions pu rester beaucoup plus tellement nous nous y sentions bien. Tout était parfait, nous ne manquions de rien. Wir waren sehr gut zufrieden. Gut ausgestattet, tolles Frühstück, sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Parkplätze vorhanden, Balkon und Terrasse, sehr ruhig, sehr geräumig und wir fanden den Padel-Tennisplatz super. Preis-Leistung war gut ausgewogen. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier. Ein Auto ist zu empfehlen.

We loved our stay here. The apartment was spacious, clean, great location & good breakfast. Walkable to restaurants, shops & sights. We were able to check in early which was a perk & lots of parking available. We would definitely stay here in the future & highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay, the area is quiet and appeared safe. The nearest shops are 15 minute walk and you have cafes & restaurants. You are near the beach too & a hiking trail. My apartment was spacious, clean and well looked after. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get information about the breakfast as the Security told me they only spoke Portuguese so it was difficult to communicate. The Apartment complex is well maintained and there is a swimming pool. I travelled Solo but it's also suitable for families. Portimao is about 20 minutes drive away

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The place was absolutely charming...so close to the town center that we could stroll everywhere! We had a car and itbwas just 2min- 3min so its was definitely walkable as well. The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. And honestly, the hotel itself was beautiful, super clean, and inviting. We’d definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our stay ! Large apartment very quiet , nice pool Would say it's a 25min walk into town very undulating We used uber with no issues even 1am in the morning around €5 per trip well worth it !! Loungers and umbrellas around the pool comfortable and great quality!! Would definitely visit again !!

We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay. The apartment was very clean and in a lovely peaceful area. It was a lovely 15minute walk to Carvoeiro town. We would most definitely stay here again.
