Super 8 by Wyndham Saginaw

The floor in the check-in lobby was sticking to my shoes. The carpet in the hallway needs to be stretched out and had lumps large enough that somebody could trip on it. They didn’t want to let us in for one night after seeing the condition becausewe had booked on Expedia. They tried to have us locked in to three nights. They put us in a room that was smelly, and it turns out the smell was from mold, causing me to have asthma issues. In the morning when I went to go take a shower, there was no water in the shower. The shower knob just spun in circles and you could see mold all over the handle. It was nasty. They gave us access to a different room to take a shower. The second room didn’t smell bad and the shower worked, however, the vent in the bathroom didn’t work and there was crickets in it. There were also holes in the walls. The carpet was dirty and made our socks dirty. The back door that was supposed to be locked at 9 o’clock at night, remained unlocked for the whole night. We heard people being loud at about 3 o’clock in the morning. I blew a nut in the morning when I went to take a shower and it wasn’t working and asked to talk to the manager. He did refund our money for the two additional nights we were supposed to stay. How do you not know that a shower is not working in a room? I wound up having to pay $86 to get an inhaler because I had left mine at home. I haven’t had problems in a while, but the nasty mold flared it up. I’m sad for the bad review.

The room was fine, just need some repairs. The door lock to get in from outside didn't work,stays unlocked

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was a good size a comfortable bed. The room was clean. The fridge, microwave and A/C all worked fine. The Internet was reasonably fast and reliable. We had enough electrical outlets to plug in my lap top and charge our electronics. The breakfast was decent. The motel was a little dated and the parking lot had some nasty pot holes but otherwise in good condition. We would stay here again if in the area.

Disappointed with this hotel…already reviewed the property but was told a hot breakfast would be available 6-10….there is NO hot breakfast and when I asked the attendant who locked in Fort Knox (felt like I was getting $$ from a currency place)….this hotel is no inviting at all and I would normally say you get what you pay for but I’ve paid similar $$ for this stay and gotten much better more inviting properties

Stayed here for a night with my kids and sister in law the room was fine minus the slow draining sink. They had a grab and go breakfast in the morning which was fine overall but they lacked options for lactose and tolert people the overall look of the place wasnt very homey. You could barely hear the clerk behind thebhuge barrier at the desk. One guest was telling me hed been waiting for least 10mins for someone to show up at the desk. Overall my stay was fine tho for the short stay we had.

It was fairly disappointing. The fellow at the desk was nice enough but the conditions were really lacking. The carpet was coming up in the hall. Nobody turned on the heat in the room. It was freezing!! Michigan in the winter is cold and that shouldn’t have happened. Probably won’t stay again.

We stayed for two nights because my son had an important robotics competition in Saginaw. The first night we were woken up for over 2 hours in the middle of the night because the fire alarm was going off. They eventually fixed it but we did not have a good night of sleep and my son suffered from it during his competition. We would like some partial refund if possible.

Door was taped open all night. Sink was cracked, blow dryer was broken, hallway carpet was dirty and had lumps in it. Housekeeping never came in on our 3 night stay. No clean towels, baskets overflowing, etc. Not handicapped accessible. Group of people congregating and drinking in the parking lot at night. No decaf coffee available. The card scanner being broken and the door being taped open was so unsafe. Anyone could have come in. Will not stay here again.

Didn't really like anything about the place itself. The hallway had new carpeting but it was poorly layed so it was bunched up. The bathroom fan was connected to the light so it ran whenever light was on. Very annoying! The sink was old & cracked. The tub insert needs to be replaced.Very sloppily painted. Blanket on one bed had a hole in it. The sheets on the other bed had stains on them. I checked closely for bedbugs but didn't see any. Beds were comfortable. Had wall air on/heater. Had to change from 1st room because it made a loud clanky noise. Frig & microwave were clean. We stayed 3 nights because I had already paid for it. The parking lots needs more or brighter lights. The location is very good. Close to stores, restaurants & the mall. There are many hotels around. I chose this one because of the price so its true you get what you pay for!

i asked for clean sheets for the bed! judging the way it looked sheets not tucked, hair on sheets, looked luked the sheets had NOT been chaged!

the room had cockroaches clawing on the headboards We left dirty towels outside room as requested but had to go get replacements because no one brought them even after we called

Room was very clean. Staff was friendly

First when checking in no one was in the lobby and sign said call, the lobby was blocked by windows and metal, like prison guards. Room 320 was very dirty, smelly and bed was too soft also not even. Bathroom ceiling has a 5-6 inch hole and looks moldy, called to front desk and her answer was she is aware of it but no apologies.

Staff were very nice, friendly and well dressed. Overnight staff was out at almost midnight cleaning outside and emptying trash. The room was immaculate. Absolutely everything was so clean and well taken care of. The bedding was nice with no stains or spots. Very pleasant overnight stay. No complaints.

The majoroty of the staff seems to be Indian with very, broken English. They required a $50 deposit upon check-in, which they don't tell you about until you arrive. The bedsheets were stained and dirty...Sani came to my room (220) and changed them twice with two different sets of bedsheets, but both sets were stained and dirty. Sani then told me that he'd let Patel, the Manager know so that I'd receive a discount on the room. When I checked out the next day, the front desk girl told me that I wouldn't be getting a discount, even though Sani already told me that I would, because I could've just changed rooms. I believe thing's get lost in translation, because I had to ask the front desk girl for a receipt when I was checking out, but all she gave me was the confirmation document that the $50 deposit would be returned. I believe that I'm owed a credit since the bedside were stained and dirty.

It was absolutely awful. I would attach photos if possible. The ceiling in the shower was ready to collapse at any time. They made a charge to my visa for no reason. You should not have this hotel on your website. It’s disgusting.

Cigarette butts at the entrance doors. The bathroom wasn't recently cleaned soap scum in the shower. I had to get new batteries for the tv remote.

Walk into room with a huge body fluid stain on comforter and hair all over the sheets

The tub didn't hold water. The door handle to the bathroom was kinda hanging away from where it was supposed to be there was a hole behind the main door

Shower was faulty, but other than that it was good.

Checked in on Friday Oct 31, went to grandson's house to visit, Friday Nite sink did not drain, told person Saturday morning at desk about drain, did not drain Saturday Nite , told person on desk Sunday morning about drain, did not drain Sunday Nite, told person at desk Monday morning about drain, finally worked Monday Nite, Tuesday evening after using the sink I noticed water on the floor under the sink I was tired and it was late, on Wednesday when I checked out I was going tell the person at the desk about water but there was no one at the desk so I left my keys and left !!!!!!!!!This Super 8 is off my list and you can understand why !!

The phone in my room didn't work. The AC was hard to turn on. You can hear the people in the room next door talking. The price was good if the phone and AC worked correctly. Service was very friendly.

Beds needed to be replaced. Very worn. Fell into grooves where the beds were worn. Sal on the end of one bed and it flipped.

This hotel had definitely seen better days, run down, the air conditioning smelled like mildew, and all in all the room was in disrepair. Parts of the walls werent painted and there was obvious water damage in the corner of the room near the window

Shower didnt work (only bath spout). Tv remote barely worked

The WIFI kept disconnecting while we were trying to use it. The drain in our room, #205, was clogged, hair and residue from a shower would not drain and built up in the bathtub after each use. There were also no laundry machines in the building for guests to do laundry.

Clean room. A lot of coming and going so not as quiet as I hoped but otherwise a nice stay

Room was standard, everything worked, one of the sheets had a stain. Could use aesthetic updates, but beds are fine, AC works, lots of pillows provided. My concerns came with the bathroom—there was a hole in the ceiling above the shower, the bath creaked loudly every time I shifted my weight, the air is very loud and there’s no separate switch.

When we arrived we had prepaid through Motel.com there was none at the front desk we had to wait about 30 min for someone to show up. We were the 2nd ones to get our room out of our group. When we entered or room we checked it as we always do at all hotels. We found several signs of BED BUGS and found one LIVE BED BUG. Immediately left the room ( thankfully we had not taken our bags in yet.) We went back to the front desk brought the lady at the front desk to the room and showed her the bug. Told the people in our party they checked their room and found signs of BED BUGS as well. We asked for a refund and the property refused. They would only offer us another room but we had already saw BED BUGS and sign in two different rooms so we were not staying in that building. Ended up losing our money will never trust this Hotel chain again. DO NOT STAY HERE.... I have picture but cant upload them.

Night staff and check in was horrible. I had to pay a deposit when I got there which was not included in my details. I didn’t have extra money…. I had to wait around for about an hour in the cold for someone to send me money to pay this deposit. The hotel made their own rules it seemed

Checked in and immediately found Bed Bugs before bringing our bags in. Showed the front desk worker and she said they were dead, so that’s was OK. Refused to give us a refund. We had to leave and find other accommodations. Terrible customer service!

No frills for sure but clean room, floor, bathroom, extremely comfortable beds good breakfast but I’m not a bacon and eggs guy anyway. I will keep the place on my list for sure.

Whole place had a weird smell. The sheets had holes in them. There are lots of dining options within 5 minutes and several within walking distance.

We were relieved to be given an early check in. The process was a bit slow, but the hotel associate was friendly and helpful. The room, while dated, met our needs, although there was a prevailing odor of dust that was seemingly coming from the a/c unit. The bed and pillow were very comfy. Best sleep in days! Great location and only 15 minutes away from Frankenmuth! We will definitely return!

Expect to get what you pay for. Cheap, no frills hotel. Refrigerator , microwave and hair dryer in room. Breakfast was cereal, oatmeal, danish and yogurt from what I saw. I chose elsewhere at IHOP, Tim Hortons are nearby. Holes in wall-by door with bad patch job. If you stay more than a day, you need to exchange your towels/wash clothes yourself for clean ones and put garbage out in hallway to get emptied. Bring a white noise machine or turn the tv up as you hear EVERYTHING including the people “bowling” above you and the the lady having an organism 2 doors down!!!! Many amenities in the area to choose from of restaurants and shopping. Frankenmuth is only 25min away. Get room on hotels.com vs at the hotel-$15 cheaper on hotels.com vs what they charged us at hotel to add an extra day.

Smaller rooms and an older property, but clean and staff was friendly. It was nice to have an array of breakfast options available. A great budget-friendly option.

This hotel was perfectly fine. I needed to sleep for one night. It was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good, all the essentials.

Not very impressed with this hotel. The door on the microwave needed to be lifted to open and close. The pod coffee maker would randomly turn on and off. The wall had something spilled on it. One of the lampshades looked like someone spilled something on it. The breakfast consisted of 2 cereals plain and raisin bagels and mini brownies and cinnamon rolls. The coffee was dark but tasted like it had been sitting on the shelf for decades. Probably would never stay there again.

The beds were cozy and the breakfast was good. However, I wish they had more breakfast items. The TV had a variety of nice channel selections.

Our stay at this hotel was what a hotel should be. It was an easy check-in process, room was clean and with a fridge and microwave, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast, while simple, was good enough to start the day.

Nice enough for the price. Nothing extra, nothing bad and a cereal, oatmeal, muffin style breakfast with juice and fruit on the way out in the morning. Would stay again if in the area.
