TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square - Midtown

It was as expected. Breakfast and meals were on the expensive side. The street it is on is a smelly and probably not the nicest

The family room offered a bedroom with two full size beds and a bathroom. The sitting room has a bunk and pull out bed as well as a bar with sink and mini fridge, and another bathroom. The room was clean but is modest in furnishing. The bunk was a metal frame bunk bed and the side rail felt low, wish it was a couple inches taller and the metal bunk ladder is not comfortable. But all I'm all it was very nice to have that much space in an NYC hotel room for a reasonable price. Room service was quickly delivered and the front desk people were very nice.

We had a fantastic stay at Tryp while we visited New York for Book Con! The hotel was in walking distance of the center, felt very safe with the police precinct next door, and had a wonderful deli on the corner. We were also two blocks away from a Target where we were able to get anything we forgot. MD checked us in and was fantastic! He even offered us an upgrade after we waited a bit while he dealt with some difficult customers. I have to say he handled that very well and then flew through checking us in as well as the small line that had formed behind us! The elevators were quick and stayed that way all weekend! We never had to wait for more than a few seconds which was great with all the carrying we were doing. The room was great and allowed us to stretch out a bit with all the goodies we got from the convention. We enjoyed the room so much we didn't make it to the lobby bar but it looked nice. There were plenty of places to sit and hang out. So many storage options and lots of hanging space, which was nice since we brought gowns. My only feedback would be that I think the family suites should have a slightly larger fridge. There were four of us trying to keep all of our things in there and it was a tight fit. I believe that room can up to 8. I just can't imagine a family being able to put everything in that tiny fridge. 10/10 we would definitely stay here again! Hoping that we can for next year.
