Wonderful stay, I would suggest some fans in the bathroom - got quite damp in there. The lift is scary too! But we loved our stay overall.

Broken lift and the floors were without carpet, so very noisy while walking. Thev front office lady was rude and very arrogant , highly disappointed during our stay and would never recommend anyone to visit here.

Room was a good size and had everything we needed for our two nights. Parking right outside and nice view of the lake across the road. Added bonus of having a laundry. Good location for the lake, town and nice restaurants.

The elevator needs work as it was very jerky and I felt could stop at any stage. The whole complex is tired and needs a big facelift. The couch in the unit 301 was a disgrace. It was falling apart. Staff were pleasant. very much enjoyed the laundry with two washing machine and a dryer free of charge. Very very good. Parking tight because it was a full house. Lots of areas, not being used but could be rejuvenated into a fun pleasant accommodation.

Property is a bit dated. The lift bounces you about a bit which is quite terrifying! Knob was missing off our stove top so we could only use one element. But very clean, staff are amazing and the view was amazing!

It was great to have washing/drying facilities that were complimentary for guests. The receptionist was fantastic!! She was brilliant at her job and we felt welcomed when checking in.

Whilst the property is a little tired, the room was excellent - very clean and everything you could need. The views were absolutely stunning. Lovely friendly staff.

The room itself was clean and tidy and had a view of the lake. The downstairs hall and stairwell smelt overpoweringly strong, like damp and something else. It was awful. Really impacted our stay.

View from room is oki, but the room was smelly when i checked it, i informed the Receptionist and she just said “ look like some one cooked a meal”. That is not a good answer, as people checked out at 10 am. If they cleaned the room, they must smell it. This motel has a good view, but the property is old and dirty

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and provided us with some milk. The parking was plentiful and we were able to park the car in view of them room. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The view from the room was stunning and the bed very comfortable.

Lake view,was stunning. Bed very high but comfortable. Shower over bath which was too deep for me to climb into. Toilet wedged into corner no room between it and vanity. Fridge door caught on floor, interior door panel broken. Whole Apartment needed cleaning.

Last minute booking at a very reasonable price, the bonus was the lake view we woke to in the morning. Property has undergone a renovation refresh and was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

It's all about the location, location, location. Our rooms had spectacular direct views over the lake. The rooms were very clean. One of them (Room 303) had an interesting layout. It was a 1-bedroom, but to walk from he bedroom to the living area, you had to go through the bathroom. It required a little co-ordinating in the small amounts of time we were in the room. The manager on duty added a wonderful touch when, upon learning it was my son's birthday (because his mother had sent a package for him to reception), added a block of chocolate as a gift, when he delivered it to me.

We had the lake view studio and the view was amazing from our room. But that’s about it. Bathroom needs an upgrade, room is tiny.

We were in Rm 303, 3rd floor. Fabulous view of Lake Taupo. But, lift outside our room was noisy and road noise could bother some. No air conditioning, couldn't leave the window open as the traffic noise was pretty constant. There was a fan in each room for cooling, and oil fin heaters to use in winter. Carpet on stairwell tired. To get to the separate bedroom one had to go through the bathroom, no separate toilet. Light switch for bathroom in kitchen. Door to bathroom is in the wrong place. If someone was in the toilet could not access the separate bedroom. Or, if you were in the bedroom, you had to wait until the person using the bathroom opened the door to be able to exit the bedroom. Had to step up into the 1980's shower, could be a problem for the elderly. Shower water pressure not very strong at all. Beds comfy, nice linen and comfy pillows. Unit very clean. Staff very nice. This motel clearly had its heyday back in the 1980's and is now tired. We felt that there would be other newer motels in Taupo that were better value for money. It wasn't a bad stay but money did need to be spent to bring it up to a better standard.

Such a lovely welcome from the gentleman on reception! Friendly, helpful, informative, just everything you could want on arrival at your accommodation. He even gave us an upgraded room with a wonderful view of the lake. Limited space for food prep but we knew it was microwave only, so we were prepared. A little noisy from other guests but not through the night, so we had a great sleep. Highly recommend for a short stay.

Very good location. Good to see they had Sky TV. Clean place. Had parking too. Old building, dated interior, bathroom had newer fittings. There is no heatpump which is a must in winter. We came a bit late by 7pm and left by 10.30am, there was no staff at all. We didn't meet anyone as office was unattended. We still enjoyed our stay.

Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating even though we arrived late in the evening. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

It has a nice outlook but no decent kitchen facilities and no restaurant, so breakfast was difficult
