Silver Fern Lodge

Staff attitude was absolutely poor. I arrived at the front desk and the staff just picked up the phone, keeping me waiting. I was first to arrive then I should be serviced first not the phone. Then he had the nerve to tell me that I don’t have the patience for 2min to take the phone call. Not good service. Next there is a sign outside the kitchen saying access hours 8am to 10pm, else they will be fined. This does not make sense. I had to warm up my food at 11pm not knowing this sign was there. But I didn’t go in, due sign about fine. Absolutely ridiculous. No empathy for customers. I think the customer service is lacking in this establishment.

Much much better than we expected . Room was spacious , great kitchen in building for guests . Lovely Lake view .

Convenient walk to Taupo and around the corner from local conveniences. There is a Lake view in that you can see the lake just about over the buildings across the road but not what I'd call a selling point. Experience was fine.

I was very happy with my stay, the room was clean and tidy. Happy with check in and great to have under cover parking. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family

Site said 3p.m. check in at premises 2p.m.could have checked in at this time. No toaster one spoon for coffee.
