Nice clean hotel! staff was very friendly but hard to get a hold of at front desk or over the phone. We liked the access to the sister hotel waves, but it was a little bit of a hike with a kid. Room is huge and clean. Breakfast was pretty basic, but there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Overall really good stay, I would come back but most likely stay at waves. For couples without kids, The bungalow is perfect and close but far enough away from the busy pier village.

We just checked out of the Bungalow Hotel for a short 4 day trip to the shore. The hotel was lovely and the staff was friendly. Room was very spacious and very clean. Only drawback was no pool on premise but had access to their sister hotel. The entire experience was great. Will definitely be back.

I thought the room was unique. Needs a refresh. Curtains are off their track. Paint is a must and the shower didn't drain. Also they charged us for parking when they advertise that there is parking. And there was a communication problem.

This hotel is close enough to the beach to walk yet far away enough that you can enjoy privacy and quiet. The rooms are very large, clean and nicely decorated. the continental breakfast in the morning had a nice selection of pastries, yogurt and fruit and coffee is available all day long. The only negative is that they now charge for parking. I had visited last year and parking was free for your stay. I understand that businesses need to make money but the room itself is quite pricey and the perk of complimentary parking was a nice addition.

I had a two-night stay with my family. The staff were extremely helpful whenever we had things to ask. The room was very spacious and clean and we enjoyed free access to Wave Resort throughout our stay and also for the rest of the check-out day, including bike rental, swimming pool, beach towel, chair, and umbrella. Highly recommend. Will definitely return here.

The main photo in Hotels.com is deceiving. This is a smaller boutique hotel about a block and a half from the photo. It makes the hotel look like a large resort however it is more of a small boutique hotel. Good things about the hotel: Friendly & helpful hotel staff, Updated rooms and common areas. Our room was large with a fireplace and a kitchenette area. Not so great things: Few amenities...No pool, no fitness center, no restaurant. Continential breakfast was sparse. No full length mirror in the room, minimal furniture and art, needs better lighting in the bathrooms. For the money we paid for this hotel we expected more.

Mostly clean but the Qtips in the bathroom were already opened and not replaced. My TV didn't work and they didn't really offer any options or compensation of any type. Construction going on, very loud. Zero view. It was the off season and I refuse to believe they couldn't move me to a better room with at least a working TV. For the amount per night, kinda felt like a rip off.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for a local girls night. The suite itself could use some updating. The floor is the first thing we noticed. It’s very worn and scuffed. The paint is chipping and the trim could use some paint. Our outlets didn’t work well and many of the light bulbs were burned out. We got this room for a very reasonable price off season however if I was staying in the summer I would be disappointed. We made the best of it and enjoyed each others company but our expectations were higher than what we received. The staff was friendly and attentive, there was a resort fee, for what I’m not sure. And parking was $35 dollars for the garage.

Very clean very friendly the original lobby style still appeals. The rooms are clean and stark. No style. Uncomfy sofa, terribly hard metal chairs around tiny cafe table. No art no style. Too expensive for this underwhelming decor in rooms.

Large room, dated but clean. Great location, friendly staff. However, the thermostat did not work, and the room was too warm throughout my stay. Could not access network tv or ESPN when I came back from a day out and wanted to catch a game. And I may start docking a Star anytime I am charged a resort fee (not this time, though)

Lovely hotel. Big comfy bed, fireplace in room, big screen tv and blackout curtains were amazing! Shower was spacious with large shower head. Breakfast/coffee in the am was great. Lobby was warm & cozy. Front desk and all employees were so nice and accommodating.

Great Place Air Conditioning in the Hallway and Lobby is Great but Horribly Hotttt with the very very old Air Conditioners in SEVERAL rooms I stayed in…. We only spent one night but it was a great hotel. Clean, modern, spacious. I can see spending a week there for the Jersey shore experience, there is plenty of room in the hotel room for all your needs. Comfy pillows too. :)

My husband and I and our baby boy stayed at the bungalow hotel for a weekend. It was really a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by staff and the beautiful surfer-retro decor. We booked a suite with a balcony and the room was HUGE. A living room area with kitchenette and fireplace and the bathroom had a tub and a shower. There were also two bathrooms in our room we were completely blown away by the amount of space for such a great price. The hotel is also located in the heart of pier village and even though it was a rainy weekend we enjoyed walking the boardwalk and going out to eat at some of the local restaurants. Definitely looking forward to booking again and recommend this hotel vs any of the bigger more popular hotels in the area.

The most expensive, poorly maintained hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Closet was tiny and the doors were broken. It had a few drawers inside that were also all broken. The fireplace would work for 2-3 minutes and then turn off, but then randomly turn on at all hours of the night even though it had been turned off at the walk switch. You can’t call down to the front desk because they leave the phone off the hook because the 1 person that works there is overwhelmed but all of the guests. You have to go to the lobby to get help. There aren’t any drawers or anywhere to put your things in the room and most of the outlets don’t work. $60 on top of $850 a night for 2 nights to park is outrageous and you can’t even leave the car past checkout without paying more since they need to key fob back. The pool is night, but it’s at the sister hotel that’s a 10-15 minute walk away. I would absolutely never stay here again.

The rooms HVAC system was not adjustable and our room (210) was blowing hot air the entire weekend. My phone displayed the inside room temp at 84 the entire time even when I went to front desk nothing helped.

Very disappointing property. Based on the price, this should be high quality and feel safe. Not be dingy with people sleeping on the lobby couch in the morning. Perhaps it was the missing front desk employee. Room was dingy, lobby and halls are steamy hot, nobody working the desk over night or in the morning for checkout. AND I received a call from an employee stating that I didn’t return the garage key card. When I stated that I did, had a photo to prove that I left it on the desk with my room key & car tag because nobody was working the desk, she still accused me of taking it. Who would want a keycard? If you want to provide even a little customer service and have an employee working the desk for checkout - perhaps that would benefit your customers and property. But to accuse someone of taking a key card with a rude tone is unacceptable. I travel to the area often and will certainly avoid this property and sister property. I suggest others do the same. This hotel cost more than a NYC hotel that had beautiful rooms and excellent customer service.

The rooms are nice, spacious and the fireplace is a great feature. There is an unfinished Kitchenette but it doesn’t have as much as a bottle opener. It’s Useless… The Lobby is well designed but the bar is always closed, the “free coffee” is cold and old and there is nothing in it that makes you want to lounge. The day we came it was pouring rain, and I was stuck in the downpour as the door was locked and the receptionist (also the manager) was on the phone for a long few minutes. I was drenched by the time he finely decided to open the door. There was no WiFi and it looked like no one really know why or if it’s ever going to get fixed. The manager- Jason didn’t do anything about it. Only later when Kate arrived she sent someone to fix it. The air condition in our room was leaking so bad my whole suitcase got wet. It took an hour before a technician came and he wasn’t able to fix it. We were offered a smaller room, but didn’t want that. Breakfast was ok minus. All in all it was not a good experience! For the little fortune I paid I could have stayed for two nights at the Hilton and not be at the Marcy of an incapable manager to get the mare basics

I really like the layout and unique nature of this hotel. I was here to facilitate a team retreat for one of my clients and flew in from Chicago late night. While I'd likely stay again, I think the interactions with staff could be largely improved. I didn't find folks (except for the gentleman who checked me in, albeit slowly at 1:45 in the morning) very friendly, I'd stay again with lowered expectations for service interactions. Also, while I appreciate the eco-friendliness of the hotel, I think it's gross to not provide paper cups for coffee as the hotel cups aren't always well cleaned. I would have at least liked the option.

It was awesome! Friendliest desk staff with loads of suggestions of where to go etc. cute libby area with pool table, games, plenty of seating areas. Walkable to pier village and all its shopping and food. Easy access to clean beaches. Rooms were super clean and extremely Spacious! Will definitely return

This is a fabulous hotel. The room is amazing. It is spacious and has everything you need. I also enjoyed using the fireplace. There is a very light breakfast included and it is just a short walk to dozens of restaurants and shops and to the boardwalk and beach. Highly recommended!

Our one night satay was pleasant. Accommodations were comfortable. A bit pricy and incidentals expensive. For the price a hotel with more to offer would have been a better move. The continental breakfast was nicely presented but the pastries were not fresh.

We arrived early and there was no one at the reception. We were told we would get a call when room was ready which we never received . The hotel has Zero amenities. It says breakfast included which is basically 2 stale bagels , 2 muffins I saw the day before at the bar counter with no room to sit and a coffee machine that doesn’t work. Our $700 room Had a parking lot view and coffee machine and microwave not working either . Total rip off
