This is a charming boutique hotel. Everything is lovely and welcoming and comfortable. The elevator was broken during our stay, so I couldn't give five stars to the property. But the staff was so gracious and helpful that it didn't matter at all. The location is perfect. Very walkable and half a block off a great plaza with restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this place!

We love the Oliver. Really comfortable beds in nice rooms. It’s a fantastic place to stay and has the coolest speakeasy bar I’ve ever been to plus a world class restaurant. And it’s in the chic market square area downtown that puts you in walking distance to tons of cool things to do.

Quaint little boutique hotel in downtown Knoxville. The Oliver restaurant was an amazing find, too. The only thing that I didn’t care for was the lack of free and available parking around the hotel. The best option for self park was around the corner on the opposite side of the block.

Alan at the front desk was not pleasant during during check in. The elevator was broken so we needed to carry our luggage up to the second and third floors where our rooms were. The carpeting was old, stained and very dirty looking. The bed was uncomfortable. While getting a drink in the speakeasy, the manager came in and was talking to an employee about another employee. When the first employee pointed out that his comment was racist, his reply was "If I were white, it would be racist, but I am not white." Overall, it was a very disappointing stay and i would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Extremely nice and helpful staff. Pretty clean hotel. In room snack bar had expired items, but the hot crackers, as suggested by the staff, were amazing. Bathroom could use a little tlc from maintenance staff (touch up caulking, better floating of drywall, etc). This room was as expensive as a room in the Plaza Hotel, NYC, and nowhere near as nice. The state of TN needs to prevent gouging for football games.

Staff was great but the room had a few cleanliness things. I found a fake nail by the bedside. The tv wouldn’t turn on and finally we figured out someone had unplugged it. We heard a dog barking in the hotel and we had no clue those were even allowed. We stayed here for a mini moon 4 years ago and came back to celebrate our anniversary.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Knoxville. We were super impressed when we checked in. However it was impossible to get a good night's sleep in the room we were in (our bedroom was on the corner of the street and market square). Starting 5 or 5:30 service trucks began their work and there was literally no sound insulation in the room. We had gotten in just after midnight and needed the rest - unfortunately with the engines, beeping and honking, that was impossible.

Very unique Hotel. Room was huge. Bathroom and shower very spacious . Room was quiet and within walking distance of shops and plenty of places to eat as well as venues. Room was cold and you could adjust the temp on the A/C if needed and this is huge now days as most hotels lock the thermostat. Worth the price and the staff were amazing , friendly and very accommodating. Would most definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel! The staff are so friendly. The decor is clean and elegant. We had dinner at the Oliver Royale and although pricey, it was worth the money. Try the French 75 with cognac at the speakeasy. Location is central to everything and located on a quiet side street.

The bathtub had water standing in it and the water was not clean. Looks like the plug may have dropped before all the water drained. I was pleased with the hotel staff but the Library staff was rude, lied to my face and didn’t treat as I was a guest at the hotel. They set me in the main lobby, never came out to see if I needed anything. Never came out to tell me there were open seats. I walked back in in like 40 minutes and there were several seats open and the girl said they came out to get me but I was gone I never moved an inch. I really was looking forward to getting several drinks but that didn’t happen.

The people at the front desk were great, The guy working in the "Speakeasy" was unnecessarily rude to everyone. Didnt want us to talk to each other. Harrassed us until we left....it could have been a much easier but he made it miserable for everyone.
