The staff was great--especially Michael and a woman who was cooking and serving breakfast on Sunday. Very helpful and friendly. The pool was great--but the hot tub never warmed up beyond tepid. That was only nit-picky thing. I'd stay again.

Pros: pretty friendly staff and a large room with plenty of room for 5, decent breakfast, warm indoor pool. Cons: The water was rusty and smelled bad, and when I asked was confirmed not good to drink (this was probably partly due to local water issues). The hot tub was cold with no sign or mention on site or check-in. The AC was squeaky all night and not very efficient. The elevator smelled like old machinery. Some of the lights in our room didnt work. Overall impression was a place that had been neglected and was recently being improved (confirmed by staff.) Hopefully, the improvement continues and the fixes go more than wall deep, as it has potential to be a great place.

The front desk staff was beyond amazing. I did not catch the names but I believe the lady was the general manager. I had my granddaughter with me and she came from behind and was singing nursery rhymes with her. The guy behind the desk joined in once they started doing baby shark. This was the best check-in I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. The hotel rooms were spotless, spacious, and very nice. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.

The hotel was in decent condition. The rooms were large and seemed to have been recently updated. There was a mini-fridge. Breakfast was a full variety of breakfast items offered. We had a room with a pull out couch and the mattress was plastic wrapped and very clean looking. Parking was a mess. There was active construction happening (as they are renovating their facility), but luckily I found a spot in front of the hotel away from the construction. A bit pricey, but I know that it's just due to location. I picked it because it was cheaper than places closer to the area tourist attractions. We passed a town about 8 miles away with grocery store and other shops. Staff was friendly and courteous. Overall a good experience.

Regina was the best. I came in hungry from being at airport all day long and she fed me. Best service ever. But I did collect tons of ants the whole time. Says gym is open 24/7 but sign on door says otherwise. Must be redoing the front entrance as it was bare. But service people from cleaning crew, breakfast, etc should be commended.

The lobby is outdated but the rooms are nice. The elevator is ancient but works, buttons don’t respond on 1st push. The room and bathroom are nice, clean and comfortable but the bathroom had some mold in the caulk. The woman whi checked me out was very friendly and professional. Overall good stay!

The room had bed bugs, stink bugs, and beetles. The hot and cold water was revesed in the bathroom. Heat and AC inconsistent. Could not find front desk help at night. When you bring issues to the attention of staff they still expect you to pay for it. Next call....Health Department

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Orange, VA. Mark, the desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful during our time at the hotel. Our pets enjoyed plenty of area to walk and were greeted warmly, too. The lady in the breakfast room over the weekend ensured that the food was served hot and delicious. Our room was clean and well-stocked with towels and coffee. I definitely recommend this hotel for travelers. Barbara W

There was a strong smell in the 1st floor. A mix between punkin and something I couldn't tell, but it was not pleasant. Room looked clean over all, but my night stand had rings like somebody spilt clear liquid and it was not wiped up. Had a black hair ball in the bathroom that did not belong to me or my husband and toilet seat was broken. Breakfast was good.

Met at check in by staff member who was nice. Room was big but we heard a noise early in the morning hour around 6am sounded like an ice machine being used over and over again. It took an hour for the sound to go away.

Okay, so this hotel is remodeling and looks very sad. I had to go down to the desk at least 7 times because my door card would no work. The door itself was hung so poorly, no wonder the card did not work. I would have lost my mind if it weren't for Michael and Bridget who very kindly assisted me. Shame on the owner to offer this room with maddening problems.

I liked the fact it is located near my family home and all activities that occur in Orange and the price was good. it's a very nice hotel clean, and customer service very nice and go beyound to help you. what i didn't like was the bed. the beds definitely needed an upgrade. I tossed and turned trying to get a good spot. I asked if there were other rooms with better beds since we decided to stay another night but all beds were installed same time and they are all the same.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was courteous. Hotel met my needs for a last minute reservation. Nice breakfast. Just note that this hotel is on a well traveled 4 lane highway. It was very noisy in my room from the traffic. Had to keep the A/C on to muffle the noise even when the room got cold.

This was far and away the best "budget" hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was HUGE compared other places, immaculately clean, and the staff were all very courteous and friendly. The kid of treatment you'd expect from rural folks who treat everyone as family. I can't recommend this highly enough. If you're planning a stay in this area, don't even bother looking elsewhere. This is where you want to stay.

The building is old and has settled, so my room door stuck and one of the locks wouldn't work because of yhat The internet capability is AWFUL. I can imagine having a business mee because of that. Constant spooling or no connection. I spoke to the fronk desk guy about that, and he blamed corporate. Also, no towel racks at all! I had to put a damp towel over an upholstered chair, and that could cause mildew and mold.

We chose this hotel because there was a hot tub. It was out of order. When asking the checkin clerk when it would be fixed, he just stared at me and continued the check in. He was ride and not friendly at all. Our room had some issues, the curtains would not close all the way, so we were woke up with the sun each morning. The water pressure was horrible. It took me at least 5 minutes to rinse the shampoo ot of my hair. If they think they are saving water they are not. Now i dont blame Comfot Inn, but the water main to the hotel broke so we were out of water for a whole day. No one bothered to mention that you should let the water run for a bit to get rhe sediment out of the line. The beds were hard and you could actually feel the springs. The room was clean with the exception of some stains on my sisters comforter that looked like blood. I will have to say that the morning crew was fabulous. So friendly and helpful and started my day with some really good food and smiles, that was really nice. If i retun to Orange for another visit would i stay at the same hotel? Probably not.

All 3 of the desk clerks were exceptionally friendly and accommodated all my requests. Only 2 minor complaints - room had inadequately bright lighting (bathroom over-bright), and a banana and apple at breakfast were well past prime. Exceptionally nice facility and slightly lower rate than other similar hotels in town.

I liked it so much here that I won't leave less than 5 stars in any category, even though I have a few minor complaints. The parking lot doesn't seem big enough, my key cards kept deactivating, even though they were not in contact with anything that would cause that, and the area on the 2nd floor marked as having ice and vending machines no longer had those things. However, they were available on the 1st floor and I did not check the 3rd. Michael, the gentleman I assume is the manager(I didn't have my glasses to read his tag) is WONDERFUL. He is pleasant, obviously interested in taking care of guests' needs, and is very hands-on in the operation of this place. I witnessed him not only helping the staff, but also speaking to them encouragingly and with respect. Many managers treat employees as if they are beneath them. Michael encourages a team atmosphere instead, where he LEADS instead of just being the person in charge. The hotel itself appeared very clean. It smelled clean. I even snuck a peek into the kitchen area where the breakfast is prepared. The floor was spotless. I immediately felt comfortable knowing my breakfast would be prepared there the next morning. Breakfast was great. My family was impressed with the variety. It felt as if there was something for everyone to enjoy! Last but not least, every member of the hotel staff I encountered was friendly, especially the young man working the desk when we arrived. Sadly, I did not get his name.

The room had bed bugs, stink bugs, and beetles. The hot and cold water was revesed in the bathroom. Heat and AC inconsistent. Could not find front desk help at night. When you bring issues to the attention of staff they still expect you to pay for it. Next call....Health Department

The person checking us in was delightful--very open and friendly, and when we couldn't get into our room (key just wasn't working), they walked us back up, tried, then gave us another room! When we left for dinner they cheerfully called to us "have a good time!" and seemed genuinely happy to see us when we returned. Then, this morning the woman who checked us out was also very friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Orange, VA. Mark, the desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful during our time at the hotel. Our pets enjoyed plenty of area to walk and were greeted warmly, too. The lady in the breakfast room over the weekend ensured that the food was served hot and delicious. Our room was clean and well-stocked with towels and coffee. I definitely recommend this hotel for travelers. Barbara W

I liked the fact it is located near my family home and all activities that occur in Orange and the price was good. it's a very nice hotel clean, and customer service very nice and go beyound to help you. what i didn't like was the bed. the beds definitely needed an upgrade. I tossed and turned trying to get a good spot. I asked if there were other rooms with better beds since we decided to stay another night but all beds were installed same time and they are all the same.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was courteous. Hotel met my needs for a last minute reservation. Nice breakfast. Just note that this hotel is on a well traveled 4 lane highway. It was very noisy in my room from the traffic. Had to keep the A/C on to muffle the noise even when the room got cold.

The Staff were kind and friendly. Very helpful. The property was nice it's self. The pool area was an added bonus and clean. The rooms were spacious. The free breakfast was also an added bonus with a well displayed spread sith hot options. The area also had a variety of options and eateries. Very nice town with a picturesque Main St. The food at Spoon and Spindle was our favorite. So many fast food options near by

This is a pleasant property less than 45 minutes from Charlottesville that met our needs for an abbreviated stay away from the pricey weekend rates in the university city. The hotel lobby appeared freshly painted (yet spartan) and our third floor accessible suite was clean and inviting. We were greeted with a smile and exited with the same. It was better than we expected and to par based on the brand.

The free breakfast was nice but it was very picked over. There was only one person working so tables were neglected as well. In addition there were times we couldn’t find ANY employee (front desk, kitchen, etc). The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable.

The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. My onlynissues were, the front desk person seemed to be doing everything from running the ft. Desk, vacuming and doing the breakfast, so breakfast was kind of slow. Also the coffe maker in the room was a nightmare. It was a twin coffee pot, but when I went to brew just 1 cup, yes I had the switch to 1 cup, water still came out of both sides.

There was ants everywhere. The furniture is breaking down. The bathroom did not work properly. My friends had problems with their rooms. Everything was a problem. It is sad because we come there for work and this is unacceptable. The property is going bad.

Spacious and clean but I like to see more color in the lobby. The water ran out and I was thirsty, but it was replaced soon when I asked for it. The rooms are very big and have everything that’s needed. Interesting little coffee pot.
